Tomo Vetiver

Refreshing, clean, light and airy. Aromatic vetiver and musk forward, a very soft suede note lingers in the background. Glad I found a sample of this, I would have never heard of it otherwise. This is really pleasant stuff. It’s calming - soft - musky/sweet. Not getting the comparison to amouage reflection - unless it’s referring to the soft/sweet/light vibe, then yeah. For whatever reason it gives me Thad 90’s “addictive” vibe that I so very much love. Just a fantastic scent.

I just bought this and I simply adore the light smell, how aromatic it is. Very office freindly.

Slightly sweet white floral meets masculine green textures. A very aromatic fragrance. Reminds me strongly of Houbigant’s Ambre des Abysses. I remember not being extremely impressed by that one when I smelled it a long time ago, but I kinda like this. Maybe my taste has changed? Maybe I’m more forgiving when a fragrance is one tenth the price? Maybe it is just different? I do think this one is more green... I don’t strictly smell vetiver honestly, but there is something a bit dark and smoky/rooty about it. I can see this appealing to men over 25. Imagine you reach down to pick up a delicate white flower, but your giant clumsy hands pull up the grass, roots, and soil alongside it. And your hands are also covered in creamy lotion for some reason. I dub this fragrance “grassy lotion.” 8.1/10

This sauce is a sexy and delicious blend in the same vein as Dolce & Gabana's The One eau de parfum, or at least that is my read on it. It's a sexy fragrance that will pull ladies in close. It's not at all what I expected from a vetiver in a green bottle. In fact, I'm hard-pressed to pick out a distinctive vetiver note. It opens with a citrus zing but that soon becomes a creamy and rich leather and spicy musk. Performance is excellent. I'm getting all-day longevity and an at least an arms-reach of sillage all the while. Totally bought it blind because I collect vetivers, and what a score. Man, it's good.

With only a sample to work with I get some interesting notes. One that keeps coming up is as if someone is making hot chocolate, I know its weird but it keeps floating by and I just can't put my finger on it, or I'm having a stroke. Either way its a delightful fragrance. Being an EDT it goes against my buying policy but I may give this one a chance if I come across a full bottle online at a good price.

Starts with fresh vetiver and ends with very Tom Ford-ish leather + saffron. Nice twist but this is so Ford....
