Per Fumum: Ambra Luminosa

Oh beautiful. Simply perfect amber with more than enough wood, spice and everything nice to mellow out the sweetness and space out the dense, chewy resins to bearable levels. Absolutely incredible balancing act done with stunning poise and fully adult bite 'n growl thrown in. Pointless to say much more: just look at that long list of delicious things in the note pyramid below, imagine every one of those notes done in the finest fashion, then mixed just right and thrown at you. Gorgeously supple and alive - it makes the Annette Neuffer 'all natural, all quality' style really sing, getting that sort of real-biological-botanical full spectrum to each and every note, full of dappled light and shade and the full variety of textures. Nothing smells fake, raspy, too loud or off-key. Beautiful rosewood, all those resins all absolutely pulsing away, spice skipping along over the top, tangs of more wonderful things phasing in and out over its impressively long life (10h+ on skin, up to 48h on fabric, maybe beyond.) I ask you, WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LOVE here? A few comparisons to give you an idea, every one a stone classic - it has the bumptious, buxom, bouncy resins of Ambre Loup and the peppery wit and swish of Mitzah. That fantastic sheen of bitter orange up top, though it's sadly a little too brief, gives it a zingy fresh swoosh in like Profumum Roma Olibanum - a heavenly rush through the skies before you land on the pillowy velvet-cushioned riches beneath. I'll stop here because any more gushing and swooning would be embarrassing. (For a single sceptical note of ugly reality: the price is shocking; maybe this isn't totally unique.) But seriously - if you have any interest whatsoever in rich, amazing ambers, and/or natural perfumery - this is going to work for you, I can virtually guarantee it. Annette Neuffer is a genius of Ellen Covey or Rania Jouaneh level and that is a SQUAD to reckon with. Lost for any more words, other than simply: yes, yes, YES!!!

Amazing quality scent, absolutely love this , rarely has a perfume impressed me so much, actually leaves xerjoff amber star in the shade and that is saying something, completely bottle worthy, it will be one of my treasures kept for special times and places. Straight into my top ten without question.
