Symphony of Roses

This is truly gorgeous! In comparison to Rose Rouge from Van Cleef & Arpels, this doesn’t have that sour fruity/raspberry feel. Instead, this is much smoother and sweeter (not fruity sweet, but rather vanilla sweet). I get pretty nostalgic from this one, it reminds me of the rose bushes in my grandparents’ garden and a type of candy cane I used to get when I was little. Not to say that this scent is childish in any way, however. It’s just... very pretty and well executed.

This really surprised me in the best way possible. Usually not a huge fan of rose but this is more of a sweet gourmand (prominent vanilla) with a warm deep rose. Love it!

I didn’t have particularly high expectations, but this fragrance truly surprised me in a very pleasant way. It is a solid, well-executed vanilla and rose pairing, clearly in the same general direction as Delina Exclusif, Tendre Nuit by Isabey, and Rosé Rouge by Van Cleef & Arpels. Not identical, but sharing a similar aesthetic. Here, the vanilla is rich and confectionary, while the rose is elegant and distinctly perfumery rather than naturalistic. What I appreciate most is how well it behaves on skin: no sourness, no chemical sharpness, and no tendency to fall apart as it develops. The composition remains smooth and coherent throughout wear. This experience definitely makes me curious to explore more fragrances from this house.
