Fièvre Idyllique

There are many fragrances that I put on and am both intrigued and pleased by, but then there are those few that I am utterly captivated by and actually say wow to. Fièvre Idyllique is one of those. Before I get into the notes, I want to address the actual feeling of it. Ahead of evening trying it, I could sense that there could be something special about it, it's composition and inspiration really intrigued me ; "is it fascination or excitement" is the perfect way to introduce the emotion behind this fragrance, it ignites so many emotions and memories, both of fondness, comfort and also of a sophisticated sensuality. There are elements that pull on the modern take of nostalgia, a beautifully represented iris with sandalwood and amber, but the masterpiece is the balance of cardamom, carrot, patchouli and heliotrope along with this. Very distinctive and arguably quite challenging notes if you are not someone who enjoys their presence or finds them too overpowering, here they are sublime. The lime and ginger add this glorious zingy freshness and pick up on the greenness of the patchouli. It is glowing, tender and exceptionally unique with the inventible result of many questions and compliments about what fragrance I am wearing. Incredible longevity also, with a minimum of 10 hours of wear before I noticed any fade what so ever. I have three fragrances from Antinomie, all different compositions and scent spaces and all three are a piece of magic in their own right, it is definitely a house I see myself becoming wedded to.

This scent sticks close to my skin. While testing out fragrances from the line this one won't let itself be seen. The scent that does come through is pleasant but not interesting. Just woody oudy scent.
