Révolte Délicate

It's a great honor for me to be the first to review this perfume. I first tried it at the Skins store in Rotterdam. First of all, I would like to thank each and every employee at the Skins branch for their excellent service and for helping me try perfumes I had never tried before and hadn't had the opportunity to see in my own country. Regarding Révolte Délicate, I've tried all of Antinomie's perfumes, and this is my favorite. Normally, I've hated the smell of roses and rose-scented perfumes my whole life. Since I live in the Middle East, they always remind me of funerals and mosques, they don't evoke the same positive associations as they do for people in the West. It might be a bit personal, but the only reason I love roses and the smell of roses is my mother. Because my mother loves rose-scented perfumes, and every time I smell a rose-scented perfume, she comes to mind. However, I never considered wearing a rose perfume for myself until I discovered Révolte Délicate. When I smelled the perfume, I was captivated because instead of rose, I detected the scent of geranium, a very subtle imitation of rose. The sharper, false imitation scent of geranium enchants me; I'm drawn to the feeling of those prickly leaves. I also love the smell of red pepper (especially in jasmine perfumes), but as the name Révolte Délicate suggests, it evokes an elegant and quiet beauty. This will be my first rose perfume. It's definitely a signature scent. I'd like to recommend it to everyone, but I won't, because I want to have her as my own signature scent.

The fruity notes dominate the opening. There is a blast of super sweet grenadine (very nicely done, by the way, much better than the grenadine in JPG Ma Dame). Then a strawberry appears, and at that point it's almost too much fruit for me, but the pink pepper gives it interest. As this intro fades, a very sugary rose emerges, still tinged with fruits, with raspberry joining in. Then the woods come forward, and at that point, the rose shows it's geranium undertone. This is a perfect rose for people who don't like roses. They will enjoy that it is coated in many layers of fruit and sugar, and in the drydown, the transition to a woody geranium. I am not the intended audience, I think.
