Floret

I can’t believe I have not reviewed this perfume until now! I’ve loved this one since it first came out in the 90’s, always loved this one. I first bought it from Nordstrom back then and when they no longer carried it, I was thankful to buy it directly from Antonia’s Flowers website. Omg they would package the bottles so beautifully, it was like receiving a gorgeous gift and I loved it! The house was also so generous with samples of their other fragrances which I didn’t realize how valuable they would be one day! Back then I felt even the edt was a little pricey, but I did splurge to buy it and now regret not buying more at the time when I could! 😢 Since then, it breaks my heart that Antonia’s is no more...and I’ve paid high prices to get partial bottles of Floret off of eBay which come around only every once in a while but at least I have a couple since this beautiful Lily of the Valley fragrance is in my top 3 perfumes of all time. I just love the flowery fruitiness of it and it lasts well for me all day. I don’t feel that Petite Cherie is similar, but I do think Benefits Maybe Baby is close so have stocked up on a couple bottles of that one because for a while it also was unavailable then they brought it back and last time I checked it doesn’t seem to be on their website anymore. At any rate, Floret will always be one of my very favorites and now spring is coming again so I am looking forward to celebrating the season by wearing the lovely Floret! 💐🌹💐

I love Floret, and also prefer the EDT version of this perfume to the EDP. I first encountered Floret in a beautiful gift shop near the ocean. My sister and I were so enchanted with its delicately fruity floral notes we each immediately bought a bottle. I also used up my entire bottle in a few months. For someone who owns as much perfume as I do, that's a rarity. This is not an audacious, risk-taking fume. It's playful, gentle, charming, bubbly. The EDT smells as I would imagine champagne made of flowers might taste. I can credit this perfume for making me realize how much I love sweet pea as a fragrance note.

I am absolutely ga-ga for this specific type of scent. This is the first of its kind that I smelled, back in the late 90's. I was at Barney's NYC with my aunt and she asked me to pick a fragrance I'd like for Christmas. This is what I picked hands down. Now there are a few others in this scent-range for me...the most recent being L Gwen Stefani for Women...Then there is AG's Petite Cherie, which is a rose-pear instead of the rose-apricot pairing of Floret. These are go-to summer scents. So innocent and sexy at the same time. Heaven.

Sweet peas and lily of the valley soaked in champagne with a soft subdued dusky fruit on the bottom. Tiempe Passate is better, and probably classier and AF's best perfume, but in her prime this was love at first sight for me and a very good, American alternative for Petite Cherie by Goutal that, in my opinion, turns too quickly. Nostalgia from the age of Tom Ford for Gucci, SATC, plucked eye brows, low waist jeans, late '90s R&B and very expensive sticky, sparkly, shiny lipgloss.

The notes listed above are all easily found within this unique floral potion. The apricot really gives this scent more of a honey or nectar facet, which creates a rich and creamy floral rather than a sharp floral. It's like grassy apricot orchards in the summertime. This is not one of my personal favorites to wear (for my chemistry), but at the same time I can't bear to give the bottle away because the fragrance is too marvelous. The EDT is plenty strong and reasonably priced.

I love this one... On me it smells like fresh cut flowers, or being inside a florist... Sweet, the apricot is really noticeable at the start and just wet, fragrant cut flowers... It's an interesting experience... I love things that conjure up images of things. I don't think I would mind if I never owned it, but it is really nice on me. Edit: now have it (finally) oh this is so easy and lovely

another gorgeous summer perfume! can't stop obsessing about this one! it completly distracted me from my search for a rose perfume!, if the rose journey has no results im seriously planning to get me floret *swoon* This is summer in a bottle, divine!

One of Eve's favorite perfumes, I tried to like this. Used up my full bottle in a few months as to use it up. Wish I had known about this site back then. Peace

This is a major improvement from Antonia's Flowers EDT. For once, the fruity accords, (namely apricot in this composition), are beautiful and fresh on my skin. Floret EDT has a slight shampoo-like vibe. I don't mean that in a negative sense of the phrase, in fact it smells quite classy and pleasant. Lily of the valley shines through as the most dominant accord, followed by a crisp and somewhat clean apricot note. Floret is perfect for both Spring and Summer. It's one of those mood-lifting fragrances, with a sparkling and bright feeling. I hesitate to call this fragrance a floral, as I feel that a fruity floral is more true to its classification. For an EDT, Floret's projection is quite a big one. A few light sprays is enough to envelop you in a cloud of scent. Go easy with this one. As I sit here sniffing, I'm finding that Floret fills me with that same joy as the scent of freshly washed hair. Who doesn't love that sensation? The only downside to Floret is its rather high price tag. If I were to blind sniff this, I would most likely assume it was from the fruity Incanto range by Salvatore Ferragamo. Not necessarily a good thing. So far, Floret is my favourite from this house, but I do hope to find something a little bit better. I have really enjoyed this fragrance, but to be honest, it's not really my cup of tea.

Once again I find myself in the position of wondering whether we're all smelling the same perfume! To my nose, Antonia's Flowers FLORET edt is a very declarative floral fragrance with a seriously soapy side. This style reminds me of some of the British houses, for example, Floris--and, no, I'm not saying that because of the Flor...! There is a fruity facet to this, yes, but the soapy aspect is so much more marked and really survives through the lengthy drydown that I end up finding this much more floral than fruity and am somewhat surprised at the number of of people who consider this composition sweet. To my nose, the fruit of FLORET is unsweetened, rather like a no-sugar-added compote of fruits such as peaches, nectarines and apricots. Perhaps the orange-iness has something to do with marigold as well. I do not smell any tuberose whatsoever, by the way... My hunch is that the lily of the valley and the sweet pea are together conspiring to produce what I am perceiving as a soapy quality. I'll try the eau de parfum and report back...

Floret is a beautiful very clean scent. And by clean, I don't mean to imply it is soapy. When I write clean, I mean it is not a heavy scent, with strong notes like Patchouli, which many are sensitive to. It is, to me, a linear smelling scent. From Floret I really only pick up Lily of the Valley, and little else. I don't know why I can't find the Marigold, as that is the base note. Seems I would, as my darling mother was crazy about Marigolds, and had huge Marigold gardens every summer. Floret would be wonderful for purists; of course they had better be Lily of the Valley fans. I did not find Floret to be very staying, and I did also try the EDP version, which is quite pricey! It is a perfectly nice scent, just too linear for my taste, and far too expensive for what you get.

Floret is a bit of a departure for me, since I usually don't go for florals, but I really like it. The creamy apricot keeps the sweet pea and other flowers from becoming too sweet or cloying. This is a very lovely scent that is perfect for summer and I think it's appropriate for any age. This isn't your average fruity floral. Floret is a sophisticated fresh fragrance and a must for fans of sweet pea. I am sampling the EDP and the longevity is not great on my skin. For me it lasts 4-5 hours. That issue aside, I think Floret is a very beautiful perfume.

(EDT Review) I"m another one that prefers the EDT over the EDP, but i'll review the EDP later. This smells 'purple' to me. I was expecting this to be light and irritatingly sweet, and was pleasantly surprised with the lush fruit note that popped up. This is a very wearable floral, coming from someone who doesn't like florals at all. The apricot and marigold make this sparkle for me, i'm really enjoying it. Very lovely and worth sampling.

Baby doll cologne. It smells like a scented toy I had in the late 70s. Inoffensive and pretty soliflore, but it lacks complexity, maturity and to me, interest. It's okay, but not something I would make my signature scent. I might be too old for this one.

Smells absolutely enticing, real and velvety on paper. On my skin? a harsh fruity lily with a cedar wood-like note, turning into potent soapy water. I really wanted to love it. : (

Super sweet flowers. Has a nice watery authenticity buried in there, but overall it's just too much like a scented doll. Doesn't work on me.
