Rose Sauvage

This is my third from the line. I also have Rose Supreme and Fleur de Lys, neither of which impressed me very much. Rose Sauvage I am enjoying much more. And it has piqued my interest in exploring others.. This fragrance is very nicely blended - rich and well balanced. It's a nice deep rose, under an interesting background of other prominent notes, so the fragrance never becomes "just rose". the Iris and tonka really come through in this blend. I am definitely enjoying this creation. The presentation is absolutely beautiful as well, just wondering what prompted the switch to plastic tops? My other 2 have the glass tops. Actually, Rose Supreme arrived with the top shattered.. So I purchased Fleur de Lys mostly for an extra top.. This was before the remaining perfumes became readily available to me (I would have gone for this one based on the notes alone). The plastic is a strange choice. I see how there may have been issues with the glass, since mine broke, but some other remedy (like extra wrap) could have been employed. The plastic makes the bottle look cheap, which is too bad, since it's the only one of the 3 I like. But I have my eyes on another one now.. Glad I took a risk with Rose Sauvage after disappointment with Rose Supreme and Fleur de Lys...

Wooden roses. Red roses made of woods with orange scents. Carnations, red roses, raw iris, vanilla, tonka beans, amber, tuberose, cedar, and sandalwood. The roses in here are presented quite balanced with iris (as of top note) with softer tonka, and vanilla to lighten the sharpness of the roses. The tuberose also plays a great role in softens the roses sharpness and mingles with the patchouli to add that dark element that presents the name "Sauvage". This one is a great creation although i am sure that there are litchi, and pemogranate in here as well and instead of the vanilla cause the sweetness in here is colored in pink. At the end, Antonio's quality of fragrances are quite impressive (includes Royal Crown) but the creativity and uniqueness of the blends is overly closed within a limited frame, i believe he is afraid to create something that is out of the box, but what's the use on creating a common fragrance that has been done over, and over but using a divine quality ingredients! as a matter of facts, the type of common fragrances that Antonio creates has been milked for over 2 decades now, i mean the bottles that he creates is just overwhelming beauty, the ingredients quality that he uses is divine, but the blends that he come up with is just doesn't make it make it happen! i really want to encourage him to create a groundbreaking perfumes by visiting cultures that he never visited before and learn new techniques or even create new techniques that will put him on top of the list that nowadays it is full of fake wannabes, & money diggers. I am looking forward to his new creations although this brand really disappointed me.
