Anucci Men

1989 was a great year for fragrances, and this one has been on my radar for bloody ages. Annuci being an Italian company, have made fragrances since the late eighties with this and a version for the ladies, including several others over the years. They're very unknown, and not a lot of people probably talk about this fragrance or the company. I had heard of Annuci; due to a mens cosmetic bag that I own which was my late grandads, in which was from this brand, and since I found that they made fragrances, I had to check out the original from the house which I found to be this..Annuci for men. Now the scent itself is very different, yet easily much more recognisable in the drydown. It opens up very fresh with a little bit of citrus, and strong on florals. There is some BERGAMOT and mixed citruses along with CHAMOMILE and an apparent WOODS note. As it starts to dry; most of the top notes subside and a beautiful LAVENDER comes into the mix creating the perfect barbershop scent; a beautiful LAVENDER too.. Theres also a soft PATCHOULI and grassy VETIVER making it green like a country meadow..which is kinda perfect considering the silhouette of the golfer on the front of the bottle and the golf ball bottle design. The silhouetted golfer taking a swing on the front would make one think that this is a green, fresh outdoorsy scent that would remind you of playing golf on a summers day; you would be correct, though deep down a personal scent. It's cosy in the drydown, especially when the MUSK appears, with a lot of OAKMOSS. Amber is also listed though to me I think the AMBER creates more of a blanket around the scent instead of it being your typical oriental AMBER note. It's a clean Amber. Still, this is fantastic. Truly fantastic. Perfect for spring as it is bright yet clean and musky. I can't wait to wear more of this and to perhaps review it in the future. Longevity is brilliant, 8 solid hours of white floral musky heaven. Sillage is projecting for around half an hour, yet quite strongly

I cannot believe that no one reviewed this yet! This is a super smelling very european scent to me. I do not own it but my big brother Mark wore this exclusively and it always reminds me of a sporty, well dressed man with a beautiful lady on his arm and money in his pocket... Bright citruses mix with sweet jasmine and subtle green chamomile. This is very woody smelling out of the gate and that only adds to the richness of the scent. The heart of patchouli's dirty sexiness mixed with elegant lavender and vetiver is so very sensual and clean at the same time. The drydown of oakmoss, musk and amber gives this a warm green feeling that you just want to smell all day long. I guess because Mark wore this, I always associated it with a 'ladies man' who had refined tastes and a passion for life... Sillage: wide Longevity: very good Overall: 4.25/5 This is a real elegant mens cologne and anyone who wants to smell rich, sexy and alive should give this a good sniff...you may just find something you have been looking for all along. I'm gonna have to get some of this (and soon), I nearly forgot about it as Mark moved to California 5 years ago and though we talk now and again...I can't 'smell' him and nearly forgot how gorgeous this scent truly is!

This is quite the hidden gem - a rare men's white floral musk, with just enough of the vetiver/wood/patchouli accord to give it an earthy moderation in the background and maintain its neutrality on the scale of scents. Many men will find this too soft/floral, for a woman's scent it definitely will come off as masculine. In my opinion this puts it pretty close to the middle of the unisex dartboard. The words that come to mind when I use this are relaxed, comforting - even nostalgic to a degree that I can only imagine this as a throwback to some smell from my youth that I was too young to understand what I was experiencing, but this sensory fragment of memory is triggered hard when I put this on. It is incredibly versatile - this can be as casual or formal as you want it to be. I've worn it to work, our for an evening with my wife and also after dinner at home for no reason at all other than I find it to be something soothing. It also has good projection for 4-5 hours and incredible staying power closer to the skin - I can still smell this on me12-14 hours after morning application.

I actually love everything about this. I find the bottle more nostalgic and classy rather than tacky, it's not a robot or a fist or a male torso (those I find tacky). This is elegant and tastefully executed! A powdery white floral, soft Lavender, warm amber fragrance with a citrus opening, slightly soapy fresh too.. Very easy to wear, not sharp or dated to my nose. Yeah it's got a yesteryear smell but since the blend is on point it could easily pass for today's "niche". I get moderate projection and longevity for me but I'm fine with that. Bottle - 8 Scent - 9 Sprayer - 9 Uniqueness - 8 Quality - 8 Overall - 8.5 This will be perfect in the spring! So easy to wear. I picture white shirt, khaki pants and all white sneakers right here. Even better, golf polo and some chinos! This honestly could be formal, semi formal, or casual due to its nature. A crowd pleaser that stand out from today's ambroxan blues.

I'm wearing this today and I have to say that as cheap purchased this for, this is a manly masterpiece. There, I said it. I know a lot of you who've smelled or own this, feel the same way. You're just holding back on saying it lol This is one of those perfumes that you keep wanting to smell and think, just because it's price tag is so cheap,, you're perhaps being nostalgic over it or maybe it's you and everyone else will only smell the cheapness or may find it old school; Nope. This is definitely really good and grows even better as it dries down. This dry, niche smelling, amber accord just comes out and tells everyone around you how effortlessly virile and capable you are. Out of my whole collection, this has to fall somewhere, at least, in my top 20 most liked fragrances. Definitely a Spring staple of mine.

An excellent masculine floral...perfect for spring/summer wear. Anucci is quickly becoming one of my favorites. This is almost like Fleur du Mâle without the sharp neroli: it's smooth, a bit sweet but not overpowering. Jasmine and chamomile play out the most for me. I did have a co-worker say it has a light, freshly-cut grass scent (which goes along with the golf-themed bottle, I guess). To me, this is almost linear: the opening is pretty much what I got all day; it did get somewhat dirty near the dry down (thank you, patchouli and oak moss) but I wouldn't call Anucci a powerhouse scent. Longevity is very good and it doesn't project too far. Classy (but not stuffy) and very affordable. Anyone interested in white florals should give it a try.

Altho this goes off on it's own thing, it's in the same vein as Gold Man (Amouage) and Carnal Flower (Frederic Malle). They're connected by the fact of them being high quality, white floral, fragrances. And it's the white florals that harkens one to the other when smelling them, The remarkable thing is that both GM and CF are quadruple the price of AM and for it to hold it's own in comparison to them is just wild. Why is this so untalked about??? I'm assuming because it's quirky looking and the price says cheap and not worth my time. I'm willing to wager that if this sold at a higher price point, this would be coveted and more talked about within the community. Anywho, that's my two cents. What do you think about Anucci Man?

To echo Bfish88, just love the ease of this one...you come to appreciate that even as your collection grows. Lauder's Intuition for Men is all I have to compete with Anucci in the wearability category, and I am not gonna pay $150 and up for the discontinued rate as Anucci is a far superior performer at such a nice price. If you live in a warmer locale, Anucci is a viable option for all seasons and dress codes. Brut is listed as a comparison, I get that, too, once this settles a bit..fresh and clean while retaining some warmth, emits a simple class and elegance. I'm another who would love to know what Anucci Sport is all about, hope a reviewer will chime in and/or Fragrantica will list it one day.

I got this based on the reviews here which, I must say, are bang on. Anucci is wonderful, unusual and unique. I haven't smelled anything for men remotely like this. Had to buy this from the USA because it was too expensive elsewhere. Anucci is floral, fresh, green and, a bit feminine. It reminds me, a little, of "Sunflowers" by Elizabeth Arden. The dry down becomes beautifully ozonic and fresh. Staying power and sillage are excellent. This is a lovely and amazing summer men's fragrance, it really is.

Maybe a bit too feminine or old school for some but I find it to be a classic. This and Bergamotto Marino are 2 of the top straight up male floral Spring/Summer scents. I do prefer florals with amore darkness such as Aramis Calligraphy Rose and Dsquared Potion Black for cooler temps but it's hard to best for warmer temps. The lavender gives Anucci just enough freshness IMO making it masculine. All day performance as mentioned and the price rocks!

A nice jasmine scent with other florals in the mood of '90s. Refreshing (some citruses) and relaxing at the same time (chamomille, lavender). Well blended, long lasting (8-10 hours), memorable and elegant scent. If you like Alain Delon Samourai you might like Anucci Man . Same theme (floral/jasmine scent for men) but not so sharp and cool. More natural, smoother,less cologne-y, longer lasting and more elegant (if it is possible:)).

Fresh Jasmine, chamomile tea, with plenty of soap and a hint of spice. This is a great unisex white floral, powdery and smooth with green freshness. The bottle design is ahem.... interesting, but its the juice that matters. (On a side note the atomizer is POWERFUL.) If you want a soapy floral for the spring, dont overlook this.

Absolutely WONDERFUL. Who would have imagined a mens fragrance built around jasmine. Yet, it is possible and the result is delightful. Longevity is impressive, dont know about sillage, I for one can feel it wafting around me when I move, so I would presume it is decent as well.

This is one smooth chypre!!! More floral than earthy and mossy and I like that. The citrus is apparent, the floral is beautiful, & the earthiness is very subtle, more grassy than earthy. Very nice fragrance that I purchased blindly, but will remain in my rotations.

Who said white flowers can’t lean masculine? My dad wore this in the 90’s. A soft, fresh, happy fragrance. I’m wearing it today and I’ve been asked a few times, “ what are you wearing?” Each time it is a female... I guess they are drawn to the florals.

Yea jasmine, the man's white floral, clean and innocent. Anucci is an all-around wear, a good jasmine with citrus. I like this as well as my Egyptian Musk which has that underlying tobacco note to it.

I love it, magnificent and shareable floral fragrance!

In simple terms, this smells like a cross between Jaipur Homme by Boucheron and an aromatic fougere like say Brut, for example. It's not powdery or cinnamon-y like Jaipur and it's not sharp or bitter or liquorice like Brut. Its edges are rounded, especially as it dries down. When you smell it up close, unfortunately there is a SLIGHT synthetic vibe to it. Meaning none of the notes listed here are convincingly or realisticly portrayed - perhaps a sign of it being released in 1989. But that doesn't mean it smells bad - it's a soft and COZY floral fragrance with barbershop undertones. The soft, cozy floral accord is the star though. I wouldn't call this a FRESH or COOL scent. Nor is it a WARM scent. It's more like a comfortable and cozy ROOM TEMPERATURE floral scent. Think of freshly washed bed sheets that have been taken out of the dryer and aired out in a bedroom with the window open. In a way, this means you can wear this all year round. Interesting bottle that makes an addictive popping sound everytime you remove the cap. The sprayer is REALLY good - it's the type of atomizer where you can regulate how much comes out by how much you depress it. No complaints about performance or longetivity - in fact, 3 to 4 sprays is more than enough and it will last a full workday with no issues. If this fragrance was released today by a high-end designer or niche/indie house with the same notes but just higher quality ingredients, this would be a STAR. YT channel - The Scentrovert

The bottle arrived today, and unfortunately the atomizer had unscrewed itself from the bottle, spilling a few milliliters inside the packaging. Sadness. My first impression was an accord of urinal cake. Actually, given the confined space and large equivalent number of sprays, it was more like URINAL CAKE! After cleaning up and applying it as intended, I find the florals are beautifully tamed and balanced by the vetiver, patchouli and oakmoss. There is not much here that would have appealed to me in my youth. However, as I am now several decades into my career, I very much enjoy it and would be delighted with it at twice the price. It's a great blind buy.

I just get this Masterpiece today,one spary at my wrist and i fallen in love with it. Deep and rich, long lasting. I think it's more aimed at older men 35+ in 2023. I don't wear it outside. This is my signature scent after showering and staying home on the weekends or at night after work. GREAT quality and value. Strange bottle though, I don't know the connection. Doesn't smell like a golfcourse at all. Get yourself a bottle!

Solid everyday scent. I like the citrus opening, it's fresh and not overpowering. The lavender in the middle adds a nice touch of calm. Lasts a good while on my skin too.

Gorgeous top and heart notes! Just a pity the drydown smells cheap. An hour after application this fragrance is a dead ringer for Brut!

Good scent but the opening is too strong for me. Once it dries down (~45min) it turns into a fragrance I can maybe pull off.

If you remove the whole sweetness from Jaipur Homme EDT you will get Anucci. Great scent

A little better every time I wear it. Quite punchy with the Jasmine and chamomile for a good while and really...one wrist spray on the skin is enough to last you all day. Trust me. This isn’t one I’d suggest spraying on your neck or chest until you’re well acquainted with it. I did however blend it into a 2 mil atomizer of vintage bowling green. maybe five drops or so. It’s really beautiful. On its own I can see how some folks say it has a bit of a Brut dry down, but It’s not powdery like Brut is. It’s loud and waxy and pretty straight forward and suitable for a man who isn’t afraid to smell of florals. This will get you more compliments than you’d expect. Out of my 10 different bottles of colognes, this one shot to the number two spot for my wife. Give it some time to mellow out a bit if you don’t like it at first. It’s not like anything you’ll find at the Macy’s counter for men. Update: months later it has gotten a little too urinal cakey to my nose and I can’t justify keeping a fragrance I don’t love for its whole life. I sold it to someone who really liked it. Update: four months later and I’m smelling my 10 ml decant. It’s turned super pissy in the worst way. I don’t know if the few drops of Bowling Green changed it, but nothing in BG is pissy at all. Either way, no thanks. Live and learn. Not into Jasmine.

No! No no no NO! Whoever says this is a masculine scent is either delusional or just trying to justify why he spent $25 for basically smelling like a granny. Don't be an idiot like me by blind buying this!

Did not work for me. It reminded me of taking a ride in an elevator with a very old lady. Just too old and too feminine for me.

What a great little hidden gem. When I sprayed Anucci on my hand to test it at first, it invoked sunscreen to my nose (a very fresh and pleasant sunscreen, mind you). It wasn’t until I applied this normally on my neck and arms that I started to appreciate it fully. It’s fresh, soft, smooth, citrusy, floral, and yet somehow masculine, although I wonder if it couldn't work as a unisex scent. The floral accords are more creamy than powdery to me as well, which I favor as powdery notes can give me a headache. I doubt Anucci will please younger noses, but it will please those who like the classics and who enjoy taking a journey through the history of men’s fragrance. It smells like a sunny spring day at the country club golf course. It’s old-school and gentlemanly but is a marked departure from the green/herbal aromatic fougeres that comprise a large share of men’s fragrances from decades past. Of course we can’t talk about Anucci without talking about the bottle: a frosted glass golf ball, with a cap that’s ALSO a golf ball? This is definitely my jam. The bottle reminds of my grandpa, who was a huge golfer and had all sorts of golfing knickknacks like this in his house. (In fact I distinctly recall a frosted glass golf ball that looked much alike -- I believe it was a paperweight.) I could easily see this sitting proud on his bathroom counter right next to his bottle of Old Spice aftershave. The atomizer is like a fire hose, too, so go easy on it!

While there has been a groundswell of bygone fragrance resurgence, many are overlooked, often unfairly so. Perhaps they may look "cheap," seem too novelty or peculiar to be worth visiting, or in this case, "bros" may scoff at the idea of a fragrance with prominent jasmine and chamomile notes as they are worshipping at the altar of Evernia Prunastri. Not to fear, comrades, if you can embrace Lauder for Men (made in the UK, naturally), and you absolutely must obtain the short ingredients list versions of hallowed classics until they become Unobtainium, why not choose a diversion? Also, stop hoarding back up bottles that sit unenjoyed by others who share your passion. The old maxim goes: "you can't take it with you." So, do yourself and others a favor and get yourself one, JUST ONE bottle of Anucci Men and thank me later–also, please save the Youtube review for me. If you must refer to this unsung little beauty at your hype machine podium, just tell them that I tipped you to it. For once. Anyhow, Anucci Men is a splendid men's floral; a melange of fresh cut grass, jasmine and flowers, musky, soapy, creamy, and yes (oak)mossy. Dig it.

@Ali AD You are misguided. No fragrance can make a man smell masculine. It's the man himself that makes a fragrance smell masculine. Anucci is perhaps one of the best floral masculines for summer in the market today. If you are one of those guys that believes a floral-based fragrance cannot be masculine on certain men, and I stress a specific kind of man, chances are Anucci will change your mind. The white floral with lavender is so perfectly blended. It smells like a nice summer day sitting by a flower garden made of manly florals (yes manly!) while wearing a masculine aftershave of lavender, oakmoss and vetiver. Absolutely stunning composition. It's not a biker masculine, albeit Fahrenheit. It's a gentlemen masculine. If you don't know the difference then do not buy this! Anucci is highly underrated and an incredible value at 25-$30 for a 3.4 oz bottle. Put this juice in a Montale bottle and it would easily sell for over $300. A must for any serious collection. Just remember, no fragrance makes a man smell more masculine. It's the wearer himself that makes a fragrance smell masculine.

Too bad we can't find out what the golf motif means in relation to the brand. Also wish we could know if there was a specific perfumer (nose) or team that conceived and created the scent. I am surprised this is still available or possible in production for this long with little known about the company, IMO. I really like the golden hue this is in the semi-see through bottle as it makes me think of Spring and Summer. To me it feels like a well-done white floral with some citrus and green for most of the life of the scent. I sense a creaminess and intrigue that shares little with most men's perfumes. I think its hard to find a white floral or any floral for men that actually conveys "floral", especially in the heart of the scent. Some claim to have floral, but don't give that impression. Floral does not need to be a women's fancy alone. Just like Spicy and woody is not a man-thing only.

The scent is quite unique to me, in that it seems to have little "depth," though it has a kind of richness and smells natural. There doesn't seem to be much note separation, nor do there seem to be many notes anyway. And to me, Cadillac actually has a nicer chamomile note! I'm thinking this may have been reformulated, and that I sampled the reformated one, because this seems too light to be from 1989. Overall, there is no "wow factor" for me at all, and I'd rather wear something like Pheromone for Men (Miglin), among many others that are similar or somewhat similar. I'm glad I didn't blind buy a bottle, but I can see why some people like it. I consider it unisex, and for men who like the idea of a floral fragrance, this is one to consider. By contrast, I prefer florals as supporting notes, or at least in a kind of counter-point situation.

Starts out smelling like really fresh cut grass (golf course). Dries down to barbershop soap (vetiver). Chamomile is tucked in there, too. Marketed for men but it's slightly floral, super clean scent may be enjoyed by women as well. Old school as opposed to newfangled style formula. The bottle is a frosted golf ball topper seated on a frosted golf ball bottle complete with golfing fella on the clear window front. Love the bottle! Excellent sprayer. The cap is fun to 'pop' off. Blind buy. I appreciate the quality. If you love soapy fragrances you must have this in you perfume wardrobe. ✨

I found exactly what I've been looking for. A white floral that works in almost every occasion and doesn't cost niche prices. It's not a floral bomb either. I tried the Faconnable and liked it a lot but this is smoother and more attainable. The bottle is strange. Granted, I have just worn this 2x. Opinions change over time, but I'm digging this at the moment. Longevity above average. Not sure about silage-not important to me. Think jasmine, some lavender, maybe tobacco unless that's the amber I'm smelling. Lavender and musk base. Underrated.

Wow!!! I Fell in love with it the moment I smelled it! It is white floral and very Unique! Its masculan but also playful at the same time, it feels like you are engulfed by the clouds.One reviewer stated that it was heavenly and this is what angels smell like,they were on point with that one! I've never smelled anything like it and to me it makes me feel relaxed and clean. I will def keep this in my line up. It is from the 80's but it is very linear! If you want to be diff then you oughta try this one!!!

lovely floral rose scent, with a initial nuclear blast that stays all day long. very good sillage, leaving behind you a trace of cleanliness. Better, imo, than aramis calligraphy rose (also a great scent) and very affordable also. Maybe (just maybe) a scent more for the ladies than for the boys, like ck 1. nevertheless, a classic that should be tried at least once in one ́s life. EDIT: GREAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT SILLAGE AND STAYING POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got this in a recent swap & I am floored with how good it is. Opens with grassy sweet powdery florals & instantly reminded me of Gold & Opus I by Amouage. Musky soapy jasmine, aldehydes, light touches of orange & bergamot all beautifully blended. I feel like I’ve been gifted a treasure! Who knew a funky country club themed scent in the shape of a golf ball could be so good? it’s the juice inside that counts! Thumbs up!

Just a very pleasant and wonderful spring and summer scent! Though you can wear it year around. Just enjoy putting on some shorts and spraying this cologne on! The flowery fruity smell is just great! For the price and long lasting fragrance. It may be created in the 80"s but to me it is not out of age at all. Glad I had purchased this. In my collection forever!

I sold this when I worked at Neiman Marcus in the early 90s. I forget the exact price point, but it was one of the more expensive colognes sold at the time. It's funny to see it at rock bottom prices now. On a side note, I never cared for this scent, it always reminded me of over ripe bananas.

I fell in love with this frangrance years ago back in the 90's and decided on a whim to buy it and I am so glad that I did. I forgot how longlasting it is. I put one spray on my wrist and it stayed with me the whole day. It smells very expensive and I only paid $28 for a 3.4oz bottle.

i forgot i had this.... its really amazing and natural smelling like chamomile and jasmine and musky...lasts a long time and the bottle is so cool. Could be unisex as the flowers arent too fem to me. But I have a full bottle to swap

A fresh white floral that reminds me of an aromatic shampoo... not really a specific gender but nice and clean for all. The oakmoss remains subdued enough so as not to come off as too dated for me to enjoy

Nice floral feminine scent for the boys and girls out there that love to express their feminine side. Not for me but would smell great on the right fem person.
