Madawi

I recently visited Arabian Oud for the first time! :-D Had to try this one as it's claimed to be one of the bestsellers. Madawi caught me off guard because, unlike the black luxe bottle, it opens very tropical, vibrant, strong, and juicy. Steady PINEAPPLE, non-barnyard OUD, peach, and fruitchouli from the opening to almost drydown. Usually, pineapple could instantly make a perfume smell cheap (I don't even like Aventus), though this one feels majestic. Dries down less polarising, cushioned by subtle white musk. This one has strong sillage, but the projection doesn't last after a few hours. What actually caught my interest at the time was her elder sister, Madawi Gold. Now this one is an exceptional blend. It smells more ripe, dense, full-bodied, and ofc more oudy, in comparison. In fact, the woody oud and not-so-bitter cardamom in Madawi Gold is exceptionally strong yet wearable. The main 'accord' is 'ripe apricot', whereas the thickness is very close to the density of the legend, Chloe Narcisse (which is also apricotty, although they aren't similar, scent-wise). The scent is rounded by vanilla but doesn't make it vanilla-centric (thank goodness). Dries down warmer and more floral; oud is still there. Projection and sillage are absolutely grande that it fills the room. I'm thinking of getting a bottle...it's so beautiful. P.S.1 The bottle design though. Balmain Extatic? P.S.2 I ended up buying Madawi org as it grew on me, and I feel it has more character. So alluring and audacious. I've even been wearing it lightly to bed recently.

My first review - for my first love - Madawi. I'm a guy btw - and the listing on this page is incorrect. This is definitely more unisex than it is female. This was my signature scent for years. It makes me happy 😊. Not that I wear my scents for praise from others (or else I wouldn't wear anything with strong oud 😊), but this fragrance always came with compliments. I suggest everyone at least get their nose on this because this site isn't giving this fragrance the value/ respect it deserves. Arabian Oud has the world's record for the most unisex outlets worldwide, and Madawi is a best seller... know what I mean? And no, Madawi Gold is not the same - they are very different. Scent: 9.7 Projection: 9.7 Sillage: 9.7 Good Quality Clones That I've Come Across: No. Not yet. Worth Buying: Yes. Arabian Oud has deals that come every so often throughout the year if you're looking for a discount. And buying it from Middle Eastern countries is significantly more affordable than purchasing it from the States. 😌 first one down.

Madawi in my country is one of the few Arabian Oud perfume that are well known. We don't know a lot about Arabian Oud here, but Madawi is one perfume that is able to penetrate the market, by which the brand is becoming relatively known. The presentation is great (Kalemat and Aseel is better i think), and the juice inside is really charming... I think the juice is pretty. It begins with a lot of sweet peach that is to die for, and then the rose comes out to play. For me, i have no idea how apple blossom and pineapple blossom smell, so i cant say if it's there or not. This perfume starts out very feminine, but on to the final stage the musk and patchouli give a balance to the scent, and the dry down becomes more unisex. It's in the same vibe with Estee Lauder Wood Mystique, only more refined and more long lasting. Yes this perfume stick with me at least 10 hours, with heavy and then moderate silage. Love this offering from Arabian Oud. Please keep it coming... I've become more n more in love with this brand.

Very beautiful almost honeyed, powdered peaches and dried pineapple. Fruity and incensey ,light and airy. I don't get the rose. Dries down musky and alluring. The closest fragrance I own to this would probably be Sakeena by Lattafa but the fruits in that are heavier, more tart yet overripe. I heard this described as a peach jam and I feel that is accurate. I got a great deal on this one, probably not one I would purchase full price without checking out the dupes first. It smells luxurious. It's definitely a Spring/ Summer scent for me. Quite lovely. Packaging is also very stylish. Can't see anyone actively disliking this so would make a wonderful gift but defo feminine leaning. How come this fragrance isn't talked about more often? Update to say that I have tried Ramz Gold now and whilst similar I find it to be much more masculine and a little sharper/scratchier.

Simply a beautiful warm-weather fragrance. I’m not usually into fruity, citrus-heavy scents unless they’re balanced with a bit of darkness like oud, but this one is an exception. It smells clean, fresh, and genuinely delicious. The opening immediately reminded me of Mancera Sicily with its dominant peach note. In Sicily, that note can come off a bit cheap, but here everything feels smooth, refined, and high-quality. Fragrantica might have you believe this leans feminine, but to me it’s completely unisex. In fact, as a man, that works in your favour, women will love this on you because some of the notes are commonly used in female-leaning fragrances. I can’t imagine many people disliking this. It’s a bit pricey, but you get a beautifully crafted, long-lasting summer fragrance in return. Overall: 9/10

So I went to Burlington in Fort Myers Florida. I saw Lattafa Rams gold for $19. I got the silver already and I love it so I said shit for this price. I’m gonna get this one. Also I looked at the notes and it looked pretty interesting so I bought it I couldn’t wait to get in my truck to try it and I said my God this smells like something already have. I wasn’t expecting this, anyways i said shit this is 99.9 percent MADAWI. So i sprayed one on each arm and asked the family which is stronger or better. They said it’s the same i was messing with them. I kid you not it’s the same. Not close but the same thing. If you look me up on here you will see I bought this MADAWI in Istanbul Turkey with the receipt. If your checking out the reviews before buying pls get Lattafa Rams Gold first.

At once understated yet regal, beguiling yet assertive. I'm really enjoying this best-seller from Arabian Oud. What I like most is the dry down. That sensual fruity musk, with a touch of sweet oud and barely perceptible patchouli, lingers for days. The top notes are fun too. They are unusual: the peach is somewhat dry/tangy but fragrant, with soft whispers of apple blossoms and exotic pineapple blossoms. I think they contribute to the slightly shy yet beguiling aspect of the perfume. The middle notes are mainly wild rose. Overall, fantastic blind buy and worth every penny. Sometimes I wear it to bed... makes me feel like a sweet, luminous, Arabian enchantress. ps. I was told the meaning of Madawi in Arabic is bright, or lightening.

Omg this is beautiful!! It’s also beast mode... I’m an over sprayer and I only needed it on my neck and wrist. Let’s start with the fact it has the nicest packaging ever. It makes you feel beautiful from the start It was like a gift came just for me. I was so impressed ... the scent is like a burst of fruit and class. This is what I was expecting Amber Oud Gold Edition to smell like. It’s in the same vein but this is wayyyyyyyy better The scent reminds me of being in Florida in a crotchet halter top and wide leg pant set wearing Gucci shades and sandals, but the projection and longevity says winter.. so please beware you can choke your self out. Can peach oud be elegant? I have MADAWI 40TH ANNIVERSARY GOLD EDITION & she is that and more! This ravishing beauty does a "one up" on her predecessor by coming in hard with the jasmine & cardamom - so take THAT! Sooo sophisticated she is that she has been relegated to the "special occasions" loft. I recently sampled DAHAB by Kajal & immediately recognized it as something I have and wracked my brain until it came up with Madawi Gold. Let me continue to say that if you have one of these, the other is unnecessary....unless you roll like that. A gift from oldest daughter & a lifetime love.

Initially I wasn’t a big fan, I liked it but my brother liked it more. Soon, it grew on me. It has a smoky, musky, floral aroma and later becomes sweeter. Women really like this, I get asked if I’m wearing women’s perfume but it’s a very delightful reaction. I wouldn’t say it’s blind but safe, definitely smell it before you do, but it really grew on me over time. Great for layering with oud scents as well. Whoever is saying warm weather does not understand perfume. Do not be fooled by the fruity accord, this is a fall, winter and spring fragrance.

maybe the most potent fruity scent on my shelf. a typical Arabian perfume, adding oud to amplify that fruit (rhyme not intended). oh yes, OUD is definitely there. Light, but traceable, especially at its first development with peach. Pineapple, peach and rose might be deceiving us to think that this is feminine perfume. But no, just wait a bit for musk and patchouli play on their unisex card. All in all, it's strong, musky, juicy, and takes days to rid of. It's like ripe fruit on steroids. Amazing!

I own hundreds of bottles of niche and luxury houses, this is at the top of the list. Easy to wear and great in all seasons. Arabian oud is one of the top houses in the fragrance game for me...just bought the new madawi gold edition which is not on fragrantica yet. Will update once I get it..hoping it’s a great spinoff like Aseel special edition was to aseel, or desert falcon special edition was to desert falcon. Anyways, easy blind buy right here as others have mentioned!

This is a beautiful sweet unisex fragrance. No one particular note sticks out other then the peach in the opening. It really well blended fruity wood fragrance with that that a luxury over tone to it. The project is perfect it radiates enough for people to smell you when they are standing near you chatting but it doesn’t fill the room unless you overspray. The longevity is amazing it when you go to bed you can still smell yourself.

I blind bought this fragrance from Mercari. Upon opening it, I was super nervous because when I smelled it straight from the bottle, it had that sharpness that I cannot stand. It's the same sharpness that is jasmine wisp. But I sprayed it, and the sharpness went away in like 5 seconds. Then the peach and apple blossom notes came through and it was heaven!! Great fruity floral perfume.

I got a sample and this smells absolutely fucking divine feminine leaning but man im obsessed with this stuff and I haven't had that feeling in quite some time. I just dont know how or where id wear this but it's extremely intoxicating if I smelt this on a woman I might instantly fall in love with her. im debating getting a full bottle.

This perfume was love at first sniff for me. So beautiful, with Great sillage and longevity. I am so happy I blind bought this one. I was many times dissapointed with the performance of some beautiful western fragrances, too much reformulations, resulting in lack of performance. Thanks Arabian oud !

Really nice, well-blended fragrance with beautiful, realistic peach notes and a subtle touch of rose that adds depth without overpowering the scent. I sprayed this at around 9:30 AM and could still smell it at about 10 PM, so the longevity is excellent. Overall, a 10/10 fragrance 🤩

My signature scent. Such a beautiful, bright, and happy scent. A sweet and fruity rose. I just can’t get enough of it! Longevity and sillage are both phenomenal (as to be expected with Arabic Fragrances). I always get compliments whenever I wear this.

The first sniff was not giving at all but the dry down was so sweet floral oud scent, I can get the hint why people say it smells like erba pura but this is more refined and has this rich scent to it. This is a beast mode fragrance a 10 for me

One of the best fruity fragrances ever. Such a happy scent, that doesn't compromise on quality and has lots of character. Smells like a fruity shampoo in a sense, just bright, pulpy, airy, and fun. Mood-lifting kind of perfume for sure, 8/10

It is a well blended perfume, sweet occidental oud smell, not that heavy strong barnyardy oud. It's cozy conforting very appealing smell. I keep it for the cold days. The notes described above in the perfume pyramid are very accurate.

Fruity & rose scent. It was love at first smell. The longevity is crazy with this one. Two days and i can still smell it. I believe it can be unisex although leaning towards feminine. And oh, box presentation is one of the best.

This one smells similiar with Tabit by Tiziana Terenzi. From the opening to the end. But Tabit a lil bit more fresh because of the bergamot. If i would choose, I’ll choose this one. More potent, last all day and cheaper as well

This is a very unique scent. Fruity floral and truly Arabic fragrance. This is purely oriental fragrance smells divine like an Arabic mosque. With soft mukhallat and Bakhoor blend. Its very therapeutic.

Pineapple, peach, rose, oud. Amazing fragrance in its own right, smells nothing like erba pura though. Sweet, fruity, rosey oud scent. Sillage is beastly, fills up a room.

Nothing like Erba Pura. Woody, less musky. Very pretty peach that smells like an elevated fruity perfume. If there is oud in this i can barely smell it. Lovely!

To me, this smells mostly of oud and partly of peach. I love it. A little goes a long way.

One of the best oud fragrances money can buy

This was an impulse buy for me and I regretted it about 1 - 2 hours into the wear. The powder accord overwhelmed my nose--it smelled like a powder bomb. I found the fragrance to be unbearable in warm weather. That was over a year ago. During that time, two things happened: #1 - My nose became more tolerant to notes and accords that I previously found overpowering, so the powderyness doesn't blow my wig back anymore. I can better tolerate it. #2 - The fragrance went through maceration. This is not the same juice that I first bought! It's smoother. The musk is more prominent and the fruits aren't as sharp/screechy. It is a much better wear than before. Two things that haven't changed are its projection and longevity. You can shower and you may still smell it on skin. Since I'm fragrance-sensitive, I dare not overspray. 1 - 2 sprays of this powerhouse does the job. Overall, the fragrance is lovely, but it'll likely take a lifetime to finish since I don't reach for it often. Last, I think this is a wonderful wintertime fruity floral. I'd stay away from it in summer!

This is a very long lasting rose-fruit bomb. I don't like rose, so I won't buy it, but this is a very safe blind buy with fantastic longevity and projection. Not safe for the office though. You want a killer clubbing fragrance this is it. Leans feminine but because it doesn't have the white floral note, a very secure, well groomed, middle eastern dude could pull it off.

This is nice but of this genre of scent (bubbly fruity musky), I prefer Tutu Blanc from Gritti over this and Erba Pura for example (I haven’t tried the original Tutu). Totally subjective of course but flagging for those who think this is a like but not a love and want to test out something similar.

Beautiful sweet fragrance with lots of pineapple. Can definitely smell the patchouli in the dry down. Pairs well with hair mist.

An opulent heavy sweet peachy juice! The presentation of the fragrance is the first thing that caught my eyes! the packaging and all the accessories that come with the fragrance are kind of exaggerated to me, but on the other hand, it configures a good option as a present to someone I really care about, and love to give her something valuable and kind of luxury perfume!! The scent itself is so heavy for my taste, I really appreciate it, there are no doubts about the quality of this composition, it is elegant and well-done, but sometimes it could be something overwhelming to go for since I'm not really into peaches! As I mentioned the Peaches are the dominant note here, then a dark red rose follows it up, and later the patchouli; when the scent dries down completely I get a hint of dark chocolate, which adds a gourmand touch to the scent! A good option for winter; projection, and longevity both are very good,,, my appreciation!

I call this frag 'Arab Aventus' in my head because most of the time if I smell pineapple in the air this bugger's the one responsible here in Saudi Arabia. It's that frag that smells better on other people than me but fuk that cling, I stay in a patient's room smelling of this and I come out with it clinging to my clothes for a few hours.

It has such a beautiful and elegant presentation, but the opening note smells like ripe peach. It does smell better when it dries down though.

Just a heads up for Madawi fans, this now comes in 50 ml and 200 ml bottles along with a 50ml hair mist version.

Am I trippin or does this only last like 4 hours? Smells great but it fades as fast as a fart.

I’m quite disappointed with this perfume, especially considering the price and the size of the bottle I purchased. Before buying it, I read many recommendations and a colleague of mine praised it a lot, saying how beautiful it smells and how long-lasting it is. Based on that, I decided to invest in a large bottle, which is very expensive. Unfortunately, my experience has been completely different. I do like the scent itself, it’s pleasant, feminine, and elegant, but the performance is extremely poor on me. After maximum one hour, I can no longer smell it at all. I even tested it properly: I went to the shop, came back home about an hour later, and when I smelled my top, there was absolutely no scent left. I honestly don’t understand how some people say it lasts 8-10 hours. On my skin and clothes, it disappears very quickly, and I have to reapply it constantly just to be able to smell it. Maybe I was unlucky and got a bad batch, I can’t confirm this, but overall I’m very disappointed, especially after paying around £200. For this price point, I expected much better longevity and projection.

It’s very well made, potent, super long lasting and high quality (the oily sheen it leaves on my skin is impressive). BUT it’s a very feminine, French style, heady floral that’s headache inducing thanks to the cloying peach/blossom combo. If you like your J’adores and your La Vie Est Belle type of fragrances, then I’d recommend this, as it’s a high-street woman’s type of perfume but done MUCH better with Arabian Oud quality and oomph, plus it lasts and lasts and lasts.
