French Vanilla Latte

I mistakenly deleted my comment but here it goes again. This is my favourite of the sugar collection I tried, it is to me a perfect gourmand that is not too foodie foodie but a captivating reminder of something tasty. It smells so good to me like a super expensive artisan latte. The most prominent notes in it are the nutella, cocoa and coconut. It doesn't feel dense and heavy at all though it has these notes, but actually very fluffy and uplifting. I also get the rum and it is beautiful, giving it a niche base of a tropical thick molasses rum. Everything is upheld with a light flowery support, no its not spoiling the gourmandness but it is a worthy background character that makes the scent really wearable and not tiring to the nose. Its creamy but not so super milky, just full bodied really giving a genuine latte. I wont say I get coffee intensely but somehow the combination of notes makes it feel like you are in a Starbucks with the aroma of bougie coffee beans which tend to smell like many other things in addition to coffee. I love Bianco Latte but this is what I would wear if I really wanted to smell like a latte. And no it is not duping it in the least despite the connotation of the name. When it comes to longevity, it does become a very close skin scent in about 3 hours but its still really cozy and I catch delicious whiffs of it. Finally this is not a sugary sweet perfume, its got some sweetness but this is more of a wonderfully balanced expressive gourmand for adults than a sweettooth smell.

Don't let the name French Vanilla Latte fool you into expecting a sweet coffee shop sugar bomb. This fragrance leans far more into creamy vibes of Mexican Hot Chocolate, substituting the traditional cinnamon for a gorgeous burst of cardamom. From the initial spray, the Latte note is light. It’s more "sweetened milk" and less "freshly pulled espresso" blended with a decadent, dark cocao scent dusted in ground coffee. The vanilla here is not the sugary frosting type; it is more of a few drops of vanilla extract. Cardamom is listed, but its on the milder side giving the whole composition a thrilling, cozy, and slightly peppery lift that cuts through the creaminess. This is charming, and wears like an autumn sweater. The dry-down settles into a beautiful skin scent of dark chocolate powder and spiced woods, maintaining excellent longevity without ever becoming cloying. If you enjoy scents like Black Phantom but don't always want to hit so heavy are goign for a more casual vibe this is great. This is the perfect sophisticated coffee scent for fragrance lovers who appreciate sugar over spice.

I blind bought this last week, and my first impression of this is that it is simply amazing. I do not get any chocolate at all but I do get lots of cardamom (which I didn’t know I loved the scent of so much until I tried this fragrance). To me it smells like cardamom mixed in with very sweet foamed milk I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s absolutely addictive. It’s not overly sweet too it’s just the perfect amount of sweetness, and the spicy notes they added make it so well-balanced. It’s also very well blended and smells luxurious in a way I can’t explain. Also, on MY skin it seems to last very long, it dries down to this very cozy sweet scent and overall seems to last around 12 hours or so and lasts for days on my clothes. The projection is also pretty good, I would say moderate to strong. Overall I’m very satisfied with this fragrance and I will definitely be repurchasing.

A safe blind buy, I bought it blind and wasn't disappointed. It smells niche, like a nice chocolate wafer, with some milky ice cream notes. I don't usually like chocolate, but it's pleasant, not dark, not overpowering, and not childish or juvenile. I need to let it macerate a little more, but definitely showing improvement so far. I feel it hugs close to your skin, doesn't project too well, but it lasts decently for the price. It lasts longer on clothing than on MY skin. It's kinda powdery and tiramisu vibes, but I don't get any flowers at all. On simple days, this will be in my rotation.

I went for a swim a few months ago and sprayed this on the dress I was wearing. The dress ended up being thrown into my trunk and forgotten about for a month. It's wool and I was out of town and went for a swim in the middle of the night when I remembered that was in my trunk and I could use it like a towel on the way home. When I put it on I took a wiff in and thought to myself how does this smell so good for a worn dress. It was this perfume. It was delicious and made me feel like I was somewhere warm and cozy drinking a flat white with a hazelnut shot. Delicious.

Oh god this is so beautiful and underrated it smells like a niche perfume, doesn't smell like a latte but a chocolate wafer or a cookie in a cozy night with the cardamom slightly giving it a luxurious character and it smells a bit minty like not overly spicy if that makes sense slightly like a mint chocolate chip 🍪 it is very elevated not childish at all and the bottle is just cute 8/10 I just wish if it was stronger maybe macerating will help

This one surprised me - it stirs memory of some dessert or decadent hot chocolate I’ve had at some point in my life. It smells good enough to eat. It’s less coffee and more boozey Nutella to me, that first spray makes me want to lick myself! Yum!!

My favorite of the line. Opens with a lot of nutella and dries down to a beautiful flowery sweet scent. The chocolate does not overpower the flowers and slightly goes into the background as time passes. I will be wearing this a lot

One of rare sweet gourmands which is blended so well... on my skin it is gourmandish, but those flowers in the middle... beautiful. Its simple, but yet complex. Simply, very beautiful chocolate frag.

reminds me of tiramisu coco by zimaya but more boozy chocolate and more nutty dry down, i dont notice the floral notes at all but its still good

I got a sample of this with my purchase and based on the reviews I had seen I didn't expect a lot. Why are people not giving this perfume the credit it deserves? Out of the 15 perfumes that Arabiyat Sugar released this is by far the most interesting! I will be getting a full bottle! The cocoa with the cardamom appears right away upon spraying and then the florals come out and blend so beautifully that I didn't expect that florals would go so well with cocoa. I don't know about nutella because this is not very sweet, it has a sweetness but it's shy. Definitely a unisex scent. It's so well blended and so underrated. If you want a spicy grown up cocoa gourmand that is not super sweet but neither too heavy, this is perfect!

Surprised at how chocolatey this is, I was expecting the worst synthetic and sour smelling coffee but is instead greeted with a cup of hot cocoa with a sprinkled of cardamom seeds. I detect no florals and a little bit of the rum. I'll wear this out more and see if it's full bottle worthy because I'm so tempted. Edited to add: to me this smells like a more intimate, closer to the skin version of Lattafa's Cookie Crave which I already own so I've decided not to purchase a full bottle of this 😂 edited again: i lied I gave in to temptation and bought a full bottle lmao on the dry down the spiciness really comes out so keep that in mind, you WILL smell the cardamom

After sitting for a couple months, I gave this another sniff. I am quite relieved the Tootsie Roll note has calmed. Now I get flowers, powdered cocoa mix, and a bit of the spiciness of the sandalwood. This is not my favorite, but it is alluring and curious... I find myself going back for a smell. I look forward to layering it. After reflecting on it, this reminds me of the scent of “cocoa” scratch n sniff stickers. 😂

(Decant)Smells delicious! Like a glass of vanilla milk with cocoa and a spoonful of hazelnut cream. Sadly is intimate and short lived. But I think I want the full bottle.

Smells like a fresh bag of tootsie rolls.

It was a rough day the day I smelled this. It’s in time out now, and is currently macerating to see if there’s any improvement, but man does it REEK. Smells like burnt tires smeared with Nutella and coffee. It doesn’t smell like Nebras, they’re very distant cousins, if even that. Nebras is sweeter and a tad spicy, this is barely sweet and sat in the sun too long

It smells like coco with rum. Projection and longevity arent very good. Wouldn't buy this again. It's definitely more masculine forward

Unfortunately this was a no for me. After reading reviews, I was expecting this vanilla, mocha latte scent that's heavy on chocolate. I wish I could smell what others did, especially since I love chocolate and Nutella, but to me this was literally just a floral fragrance. Both in the air and on my skin/clothes, all I could smell was floral and a hint of boozy chocolate but the floral was too overpowering. And I am not a floral girly. Had to sell this.

This smells like matcha tea 🍵 to me; its very earthy, i can smell very clearly jasmine. I am happy I received only sample because I am allergic on flowers like Jasmine.

Rotten fruit opening then something pungent after the dry down like a faint whiff of bile. Glad I only have a decant and not a full bottle.
