Aramis Ice

Wow, I like Aramis Ice very much. It has a touch of Aramis Burmuda, Cool and Impeccable about this one. A truly fine blend that speaks classy all over it. I love the three above mentioned on their own but to have them all in one bottle in Ice then I'm over the moon. Excellent fragrance again, but that's not surprising from a house that is consistent in producing awesome smelling and quality scents. 9.5 out of 10❤️👌👍

It's a worthy one for all year round use, but not as a blind buy as it takes some time to embrace. There is also some impressive transition in this one, i.e. it's definitely not linear. You clearly smell the bright orange and lavender notes for a couple of minutes before the woody notes kick in with a vengeance. The woody notes come across as synthetic which is an effect probably caused by the strong aldehydes. At this point the fragrance smells at its most interesting and manly - though not necessarily 'nice' - and thus I could imagine might put some people off buying it. In fact it smells quite arid and frosty, without any sweetness, and reminds me of the basenotes of "Tommy" cologne. I also sense an intriguing 'jaggedness' to the woody smell which is probably where the (clever) 'ice' reference comes from. The woodiness disappears over a relatively short time to leave a sweet attractive ambery base with perhaps some mint in it (although mint is not listed as an ingredient here). Both longevity and sillage are very good, evidently due to high quality ingredients. Cool looking bottle too with icy décor nicely painted on, although I also noticed that the liquid in my bottle is much more yellowish than shown in the image above. I like it overall and it's growing on me too the more I use it. However, note that this isn't simply a watered down Aramis for Men, as it smells nothing like it IMO. P.S. Having recently sampled Aramis Cool Blend, I can say that it and Aramis Ice have identical dry downs. Overall though, in my opinion the aggressive top notes of Aramis Ice give it a winning edge over Cool Blend.

top notes are really good definitely give the icy feelings but very rapidly it evolves into very synthetic linear notes.i don't like it. it's so disappointing. i give it 4 out of 10.
