Al Ibdaa

Nice Arabic warm and spicy scent, but not without some freshness to it. On a more masculine side of the sweet and spicy desert vibe invoking fragrances. Pretty long lasting, and people tell me they love it.

#1578 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a sprayette from scentswithsense.com for $3.50. You may well ask why Ard Al Zafaran would duplicate a mediocre performing EDT like Montblanc "Emblem Intense"? I gave my bottle to the men's shelter two Christmases ago. Not a bad scent, but no longevity, not much in the way of silage. A lot like Tommy Bahama "Maritime" except the Maritime EDC actually performed as well for less. The Montblanc lasted two hours, three tops before it was a memory. But this is an EDP, so I expected better performance, and I actually got it! Basically the same scent as the Montblanc, but with much better potency. So worth the $27 price I'm finding (prices shown above are for the women's gold scent) and definitely beats the price of the Montblanc. For me this would be casual warm weather wear. It's nothing especially memorable, but it's growing on me. It outperforms many scents in this category. A pleasant scent that won't offend in any environment. At first I thought, "I probably won't bother to own it," but it's a nice, likeable scent, and the longer it lasts the more I'm considering buying it.

Nose Note #735 Easy all-year-round scent in the likes of YSL L'Homme. Wonderful, good quality. Great "dumb reach" if you're tired of 1 Million, Invictus, Eros and Ultramale. 7.9/10, easy UPD 6.5/10, I was a bit to hasty with it. After half a year I completely understood that it 1) has very mediocre longevity, 2) completely forgettable, 3) has a finger in every pie and has nothing to show for itself. Just meh really. But ultimately it's good as a super dumb reach fragrance if you are into YSL L'Homme and whatever. It's just not for my taste at all.
