R.E.M. Cherry Eclipse

Wow this was the first time in a while where I instantly fell in love with an Ariana Grande perfume. I am a loyal purchaser/collector or her fragrances and have been a little underwhelmed with the past few years of her launches. Lovenotes was quite a big let down (specifically pressed petals but I do enjoy pink woods), the mod collection was good but not something I would repurchase, the cloud flankers (2.0 and Cloud pink) also were alright but again not something I would repurchase. Until now the only fragrances I had been repurchasing consistently from her were R.E.M, Cloud, and moonlight which were all fairly old releases, but I think we have finally got a winner again as I am confident that this is now one of the best Ariana Grande fragrances! This to me is actually the quintessential Ariana Grande fragrance as I can name several of her fragrances that it instantly reminds me of, which would explain why it smells so familiar yet not exactly a copy or dupe of anything which most new releases tend to be at this point. So to be specific this reminds me or all the following: Ari, moonlight, mod blush and the OG R.E.M ofcourse. I kid you not, I can pick up similarities to all of those fragrances in this one fragrance alone. It's a sweet fruity floral and a crowd pleaser and I would say one of her safest blind buy fragrances. Big step up from the lovenotes pressed petals which is probably my least favourite fragrance of hers. If you like ariana's fragrances in general you will love this and if you don't, definetly give this one a go I think you might be converted! Also this is only tart cherry forward at initial spray but the cherry fades into a sweet berry scent after 5 minutes and I actually find that this is one of those fragrances you CANNOT judge from a first impression because it completely transforms on your skin. 100000/10

a soft creamy, cherry marshmallow. i usually dislike anything cherry scented, this is so good though! as someone who dislikes most cherry scents, i was so surprised i ended up loving this. probably one of my favorite AG perfumes now! this smells how a cherry chai from starbucks tastes lol. i don’t know why the bottle is in the same style as rem though, they’re nothing alike. rem is a sleepy lavender almost unisex scent.. still good but it’s nothing like cherry eclipse. cherry eclipse is sweeter and longer lasting than rem. this sticks to me nearly all day, haven’t had any problems with longevity. i wore it when it first came out and a bit throughout spring/summer. it wasn’t cloying (to me) in the heat so it seems good for year round wear. it is sweet but there’s more popular/viral scents that are way sweeter that i smell in public everyday. this isn’t super unique but the cherry is different from the other sweet scents ari has. still has vanilla/marshmallow that’s in a lot of her scents though. sooo if you like that, you’ll probably like this.

This is a beautiful mix of cherry and marshmallow and IMO quite different from other popular cherry fragrances on the market. This fragrance has a similar airy muskiness to the original R.E.M (or all her perfumes for that matter) but other than that, it is a completely different fragrance. I found this perfume to last quite a long time on my clothing. I actually got to try this back in November when her makeup brand released a travel-sized version of this fragrance that was bundled with lipgloss and I could not wait for the full size to be released. I can easily see this climbing to the top of the ranks out of all my Ariana fragrances. The bottle itself is so pretty as well! To those reviews saying that they’re disappointed that this fragrance is “another cherry perfume”, nobody is making you buy this or wear this! That being said, if you are not a big fan of cherry fragrances, you may want to test this before buying or skip it all together. I really think her brand did an amazing job with this one. 🍒☁️

Not a bad cherry by any means, doesn’t smell at all like cough syrup or “mEdIcInAl” which I assume means the same thing. Really nice opening of sweet and sour and settles into a fluffy sweet pink marshmallowy blanket. Unlike some other cherry fragrances I’ve tried the cherry top note does seem to actually last and linger with the rest of the scent. I recently tried out Cloud Pink and returned it, THIS is what I wanted out of that fragrance tbh. Only drawback is if you own a lot of her others, it’s not wildly different, drydown does have about 75% similarity to Ari, and opening almost feels like SLC? But still different enough imo to justify itself! Also the packaging is 10/10 super cute, frosted metallic pink bottle, crystal outer case and cap scream Glinda if you’re a Wicked fan. Between this and the original R.E.M., I love them both but the original was amazing to me, soooooo unique and dreamy.

Ama indirim varken almadığım için bir miktar pişmanım da, çünkü çokk güzel vişne kokuyor 😭. Her şeye rağmen bir dahaki indirimden büyük boyunu kapacağım 💕. Keşke biraz daha kalıcı ve yayılımlı olsaydı 😔. Edit: Arkadaşlar sonunda büyük boyunu alabildim, 2 aydır bu anı bekliyordum 🥳. Müthiş vişne/kiraz kokuyor, tıpkı vişneli meyve suları gibi, aşığım bu kokuyaa 💕

This is giving cherry chewy candy and fresh laundry and I’m here for it .ᐟ 🍒🧁🧺 It doesn’t smell like medicine at all but this comes from someone who loves artificial cherry scents. This and Mod Vanilla have to be my favourite AG fragrances. A lot of her scents smell plasticy and overly floral to me but I can definitely see myself using this on on the daily. My only con is that for me this faints very fast, doesn’t last for 5-6 hours like some say but more like max 2 hours. I still have to ask if other people can smell it on me but no matter how hard I sniff I can’t smell it anymore. I also have a struggle getting the marshmallow/whipped cream in any Ariana fragrances which is a pity because I love how actual marshmallows smell like. This is just giving sugar cubes and a faint milky tone but I like it!

This is amazing!!! I have the travel size that was part of the wicked rembeauty collab set, which I've worn a few times, and I love it! Sadly will have to wait for the full size to come to Australia but from the few times that I've worn it I am confident that it is my new favourite Ariana Grande fragrance and I have every single one except for the old limited edition ones and the ones unavailable in Australia. This to me is if ari and r.e.m original had a baby. It's a sweet fruity floral and a crowd pleaser and I would say one of her safest blind buy fragrances. Listen. My only complaint about this perfume is I CAN NOT wear it in the summertime or the bees become obsessed with me! Which honestly it is an all season scent but something about the softness of it against the winter air makes it smell so much better than in summer time in my opinion. That being said, this is unlike any other cherry perfume I’ve tried, it’s soft and sweet, not medicinal, very natural and fruity. The marshmallow note softens the musk and the jasmine and it all just turns into the most beautiful fruity gourmand. I love pairing it over my Jergens cherry almond lotion.. I know I’m a bit of an old lady! But I get many compliments. Many people dislike it but personally it works amazing with my chemistry, and it’s my signature scent!

I was so excited when this was announced because I'm a big fan of Ari's perfumes. I finally got to test it today at my local Boots, and I got this beautiful burst of creamy, juicy cherry that I was instantly in love with. To my nose it's a bit like Sweet Like Candy with cherry on top. Even though I gave it numerous sprays, by the time I got home five minutes later my husband greeted me and neither of us could really smell it. It's a very weak skin scent, but I don't know if that's because it's very warm outside right now? Maybe it does better in colder weather, idk. But at its price point I definitely won't be buying a full bottle :(

I love this fragrance....it's not like all the other cherry fragrances on the market. Though the notes say it's a black cherry, to me it is more bright red and youthful without the juvenile aspect. The marshmallow comes forward adding the perfect sweetness. The dry down is fruity, sweet, and ambery with a light floral in the background. This is not like any of her other fragrances at all IMO. Her team really nailed it with this one. It def stands out from the redundancy of LC repeats. I bought Black Opium Glitter and combined it with this...couldn't stop sniffing myself! And both lasted on me for hours.

As someone who usually feels like cherry ruins most fragrances, this one I think is very well balanced out. The cherry does not smell medicinal at all and while you can smell it at the top and the dry down, it never smells solely like cherry. I get the jasmine a lot and I’m surprised it’s not being talked about as much. I think Cherry Eclipse understood the maturity and evolution the Lovenotes line gave, but compromised with her old fragrances to get a nice happy medium. I think this would be a great signature scent that’s workplace friendly, seasonless, and could even be a date night perfume.

The best one in her collection !! After so many months, europeans finally have it ! (better late than never). It opens up with a burst of sweet and juicy cherries, and then, a slight floral (but still as sweet like a honey note) is appearing. As it dries down, it's a fluffy and super sweet cherry, reminds me of like, as if Tom ford lost cherry and sweet like candy had a child (weirdly said but you get it)... I must say, I'm a sucker for cherry and have no problem with it being "too sweet" or "medicinal". But now, if that's a note that you're not a fan of, you probably won't love it...

i managed to get a sample and i was already wearing perfume so i had to spray it on the paper it came in, ignoring the paper smell it smells very cherry and creamy. i can’t really say much right now but i will update once i smell it again 😅 update: it’s okay, maybe i don’t smell much because it’s a small sample bottle i might have to try it again fresh from a bottle cause i really don’t smell much with this update 2: smelt this from a fresh bottle and it’s so much better. cherry and light vanillas, perfect if you’re looking for a fruity perfume that has a bit more depth to it

For me, this scent is a bit like the original Ari, but with a noticeable cherry note. Normally, I only spray body mist on my skin and perfume on my clothes because it lasts longer that way, and even after about six hours I could still smell the sweet cherry scent. It won’t be my absolute favorite fragrance from her, but I do like it — I’d say it’s in my top five. And I absolutely love the bottle. It reminds me a little of Avril Lavigne’s Black Star perfume, just like the Ari fragrance, but this one (or the Ari) is less sweet and a bit more spicy.

I was at Ulta and I was looking through the perfumes and I saw this one so I wanted to try it and when I smelled it it was beautiful. It was the best perfume I've ever seen or smelt in the world. I want to get it so badly and it is is by Ariana grande. You might know her from Wicked. It is the best show too anyway, back to the perfume it smells like cherries and it's in a bottle where it looks like it's covered in crystals🍒

I finally bit the bullet and blind bought the travel size of this after contemplating for so long. It's absolutely gorgeous and so much better than the OG rem perfume (which I also have). It has a nice real black cherry and marshmallow smell on initial spray and it dries down into a sweet creamy musk- very reminiscent of Sweet Like Candy almost. It's beautiful, feminine, and if you love sweet cherries this is for you!

My bf surprised me with it today. It smells like Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance, which I used to adore and was so sad when it was discontinued. If you’re mourning that perfume, run and get this! I love this perfume - I wouldn’t guess cherry is in the notes just from smelling it, but I pick up the familiar Ariana Grande honeysuckle and marshmallow DNA along with a plush, juicy scent. It’s gorgeous.

for some reason i have a hard time describing how this actually smells, i think i'd agree with cherry/floral/ambery. i love layering it with mod vanilla and other vanilla based scents, but i tried layering it with the original rem, and if you like both this one and rem, please try this combo. the slightly subdued/darker cherry vibes i get match PERFECTLY with the mellow fig and caramel.

I bought cherry eclipse today and absolutely adore it ૮ “ฅ́ ̆ฅ̀” ა it smells like cherry lollipops mixed with soft marshmallows!! its a very delicately fruity and sweet scent that becomes more tart later on without giving me headaches. I expected it to be similar to sweet like candy, but to me it smells far from it. the creamy marshmallow scent is something I notice a lot from this

I’m in love with this scent! Feels much more powerful and intense than her other fragrances. Not an every day wear - strong!! I definitely smell the cherry but it fades in the dry down. Sweet and flirty. I’m going to wear it for a Valentine’s Day date. Price point is going up for Ariana Grande perfumes, so I’m happy it is stronger but it’s still not very long lasting.

this is such a girly fragrance! it’s the perfect combination of fruity, gourmand, and a tiny hint of floral! to me, it smells like a cherry marshmallow with a little something floral, though i barely smell florals. the notes are blended so well together, and although it does smell like cherry, it’s not too strong or prominent. this has become one of my favsss!

I felt like I was at heavens gate seeing angels walk past me with baskets of cherries in their hands when I first sprayed this. This really is the softest and most gorgeous cherry perfume like wow her mind... Unfortunately I saw that one oscar-worthy review that said it smells like a pantene shampoo and i've been thinking about it for 3 days straight

I’m not a cherry perfume lover nor much of a fan of the og REM but something about this I am just obsessed with. It’s easy to wear, sweet but not juvenile, and has decent projection and longevity. It still holds some of the coziness of the original REM but with a very feminine cherry and marshmallow twist. I love wearing this for uni and work 🌸

I love this perfume so much. Is my favourite from Ariana perfumes. Is more like a skin scent. The projection is only for 30-1 h . But then it settles on the skin beautifully. On clothes is very long lasting. I can feel it even after few days. I wish her perfumes to have better projection . The cherry is not syrupy or synthetic.

This is such a sweet, creamy, cherry that I feel you can wear anytime of year, day/night. Very versatile, I love layering with vanilla scented lotions/oil to amp ump the “creamy/marshmallow” vibe. I get about 6+ hours of wear on this, even more depending on the lotions or oils I’m using.

I really did not expect to like this one because cherry fragrances are not typically my thing, but I am sooo in love with this one. It's very sweet and a little fruity and fluffy. It doesn't last at all but I like this scent a lot so I don't mind reapplying :)

I am so grateful a friend gifted me this bottle when it didn’t work with her chemistry. I love this smell a lot, especially on clothes (specifically my Glinda Wicked sweatshirt, iykyk). Sweet and fruity and inoffensive but definitely a fun girl too.

I did not intend to buy this but I was absolutely sold at first sniff. This is the best AG fragrance I own hands down. Opens with a sort of sparking cherry drink smell, and becomes a light sugary floral. Bright and feminine in a pretty bottle.

I have never bought a backup bottle of anything, even though I have several perfumes that I love. Now I finally understand why people feel the need to get a second bottle, and this will be my first backup. It's that good.

It’s a great cherry and the creaminess helps it feel more feminine. I use it to layer with other fragrances. My problem is that it just feels cheap. The bottle is plastic and there’s a screechy syntheticness to it.

This is very close to "Ari", or "Sweet like candy", but with a cherry twist! Its sweet and hangs in the air but still mild. The cherry stick around a decent amount of time, before only the sweet notes remain.

This perfume is a delicious maraschino cherry scent that fades into a more mature, sultry scent as it fades. (One of my most complimented perfumes) It layers heavenly with other sweet scents.

Wow, bravo Ariana, this is really good. Sweet, sexy, feminine, sensual, and somewhat clean. I like it more than R.E.M. It’s become my favorite from Ariana—10/10.

Yet another ethereal, fairy-like Ariana scent that I simply had to buy after todays Douglas tests. A clear winner out of 10-12 scents I tried. I've only started my interest with the brand recently after falling for Moonlight. My early teenage self would love this one but this part of me is still close to my heart and cheered me on during the acquiring. Well another gift from my husband. It is playful, sweet and gentle. Cherry lollipops and marshmallows. It is like a pillow. Comforting and lovely. The packaging is also something delightful. Not a super high quality - it is plastic but like the scent is being born in crystal cave and looks great from afar, especially my new straight from the box. The bottle you pick from the crystal bed. Imaginative. The classical R.E.M I barely feel on the blotter and it has a cologne undertone. Something fresh for the morning or calming for the night. But this is a sweet, a bit powdery delight and the cherries are great in it - cherry marshmallow or cherry talcum. It reminds me a bit of Moonlight and Cloud - done in her best style. Yet it is different. At 4 hours mark a person following me noticed my perfums so with 5 sprays it leaves a trail even in cold weather but I feel it is gentle on. 6,5 hours it is still noticeable with musky-ambery trail with delicate floral facets and still cherry tinged. The performance seems better than Moonlight though with comparable gentleness. Perfect for schoolgirls, and for anyone searching for a fairy scent. Nice and special. Moonlight is more high school.

this is light a daytime version of the original r.e.m in my opinion. instead of a relaxing fragrance I would wear to sleep, this is what I would use on a warm spring morning when going somewhere casual. it shares the muskiness and calming effect of the original r.e.m but the notes and overall scent is completely different, however I can sense some similarities in the dreamy feeling both perfumes evoke cherry eclipse is primarily cherry scented but balanced out with a fresh floral undertone that reminds me specifically of cherry blossoms rather than the actual fruit. it is very strong and prominent to me, I could smell it in my room for hours after spraying it a few times. I could see it becoming a bit headache inducing if oversprayed or having a kind of air freshener undertone at times but I overall find it pleasant and I am happy with my purchase. I would reccomend getting it on sale 🌸🍒

With appropriate expectations, Cherry Eclipse is pretty nice. It surprisingly doesn't remind me much of the other big cherry fragrances on the market; it's a light and sweet cherry candy. I can't quite call it a cherry lollipop, as there's an added harshness to those that's absent here. Focusing hard, I can detect a little marshmallow, but it's more like the type one would find at a TJ Maxx checkout vs opening a bag of Jet-Puffed. Not much going on in the base. I don't get the scratchiness that is often found in cheaper perfumes with similar scent profiles, so that is a big plus. Unfortunately, the performance is pretty abysmal. I'm normally a light sprayer, but would say this could be treated like an EdT and sprayed pretty liberally. I would wait to get a deal on it, personally, but otherwise could make a decent gift or blind buy.

I've yet to smell the original R.E.M., but AG could have marketed this as "Ari Intense," and it would have made total sense. Cherry notes in perfume just smell like a gross cough drop to me 99% of the time, but I don't get that at all with Cherry Eclipse.... At first sniff, it's more reminiscent of opening a bag of dried cherries. My nose interprets this as a more dense version of Ari with the fruity, marshmallow and floral notes amplified. No regrets here about picking up the travel size! **Update 2/25/25: Pair this with Mix:Bar's new Honey Milk fragrance, and OMG! The combination of honey, cherries, marshmallow and vanilla is absolutely to die for. :)

it’s Ariana’s take on the cherry trend in fragrance like all last year ie; Sabrina’s sweet tooth cherry baby only difference is this doesn’t take the boozy cherry moschino route like Sabrina’s rather a fluffy, cozy (not warm) direction, so i guess it feels original; i’m just not impressed all the way- i consider Ariana the celebrity queen of gourmands/vanilla’s so i was expecting a bit more. i would’ve loved it if instead of a fluffy cherry somebody would do a cherry pie á la mode direction cause i swear for cherry fragrances all you need is one of them-
