Beau Acute

I originally bought this in hopes of finding a less expensive substitute for Platinum Egoiste. To be honest, it smells nothing like PE. However...I can't get enough of it. IT SMELLS SO FREAKING GOOD. Weird name, tacky bottle, incredible fragrance. Sweet, juicy, fresh, and maybe just a tiny but sexy. Mostly just fun and uplifting. Perfectly safe blind buy. As a side note, this one is almost identical to Ajmal BLU. I arrived at the office the other day and my coworker asked me if that's what I was wearing. He brought the bottle in the next day and we tested then side by side. Not exactly the same, but very close. BLU is a little harder to find online and seems to be a little more expensive overall.

Got it in the mail today for $20 on Amazon. Huge bottle!! It's kind of tacky but cool at the same time if that makes sense. Seems like good quality glass. At first sniff, it smells like AF Fierce or Dior Homme EAU. It surprised me that people were comparing it to Platinum Egoiste. Then the dry down. This is where the similarities come into place. But it has its on smell so I definitely would not compare it to Chanel. Overall it smells great for the price and lasts a good while so I think it would be a great match for the office. I would give it a 7.9 out of 10. Not quiet a 8 but still a great buy!!

This one resembles Versace Pour homme to me. With that one's price, this one is only marginally less expensive. It's not an exact copy, but it's the closest frag I have in my collection to this one. It's really a beautiful summer light frag. In the realm of light and fresh. I really love the bottle. Longevity is about same as Versace. There's a spice in Versace that I don't get here, but it's very close to my nose.

Versace meets CK One. Very crisp and fresh. Wearable any time of day. Any season. Clean. A little goes a long way but I recommend the usual 5 hot spot sprays. One of my faves and 1st of 5 Armaf frags I own. I own about 60 colognes and this is in my top 3 easy.. I love the way I smell in the car with the ac blowing.. have only worn it for two days and cant wait to put it on tomorrow.. I wish I can swap out my other bottles and wear this for the rest of my life... although I'm not surr how it will preform in the winter

This is pretty much what everyone said. Smells like A&F Fierce. Closer to bath and body works mahogany teakwood if you’re in the US. Very safe classic fragrance. It’s not gonna stand out but you’re gonna smell good.

Not Chanel Platinum Egoiste, could be a distant cousin I suppose. But make no mistake: it's very good. Sweeter than PE and less harsh than AF Fierce, this is another excellent (and inexpensive) release from Armaf.

Just received this cologne, it is a fresh energetic up lifting scent. Love this DNA. Would highly recommend it.. Great for work , office date night out with friends.

Incredible smell, this is now one of my favorites. Not bad for a cheapie at all, well worth it. Reminds me of some of the Chanel scents.

Created account for this review. Ordered this after being completely blown away by Armaf Tag Him but was sorely disappointed with this one. This is how most cheap Indian female perfumes smell like. I should have taken a better look at the large number of flower notes listed but sadly I didn't and I paid for it. I despise a few accords and didn't find any of them written above or in any of the similar perfumes(except sweet and metallic). So after being so impressed by Armaf Tag Him, I thought how bad could it be? But I was wrong! It is not an artistic enough scent. Looking at the bottle, you may think oh, that looks pretty! It surely must be an amazing sophisticated fragrance. But it isn't! it is only after four hours when it becomes a skin scent completely that it becomes aggreable with me but its so impotent then that you can only sniff it from point blank range and only if you had applied four sprays on the same spot. Before drydown, anyone would say this smells like a women's perfume or that it is at least unisex. After drydown, it smells like cheap men's deodorants being sold in green/blue bottles smelling similar to detergents . That's the best way I could describe it. Nobody is going to notice you, don't expect any compliments or reactions because they will just be thinking that you are wearing some regular average dirt cheap $3 men's fragrance. I hate Armaf Ventana(spot on clone of Sauvage) and this one actually makes that one seem like a superstar because Ventana at least smells pretty decent and like an upscale designer fragrance to a blind smeller although it is headache inducing for me and so is this one. I think most of Armaf's perfumes' names and bottle designs are highly indicative of what kind of scent there is inside. And this one, imo looks like a bottle which was designed by a female to be used by her man. And the name "Beau Acute" kind of summarizes what this perfume is quite well. Beau in a literary classic english sense means an attractive man which none of the young females would ever disapprove of in any way because he would be exhibiting quite many feminine qualities so he would be one of them in a way but there isn't much commendable pure masculinity in the setting though. So there you have it! I was even going to order Armaf Opus Homme with this one but after Ventana which looks like prison bars and feels like my mind cannot think outside the box when I am smelling it, and after smelling this one; there is absolutely no chance of me buying an Armaf fragrance that is encased in a bottle which is made to look like a lock such as Opus Homme! it seems only little effort was mads in creating this fragrance and definitely more could have been done. It might seem well blended but definitely nothing spectacular here and NOT worth a blind buy unless you're 100% willing to use this fragrance as a room freshner for which it would be perfect imo. It smells very much like a detergent and this is the kind of detergent smell which I dislike and am quite past of. In terms of juice quality, this fragrance is nowhere near CDNIM or Tag Him by Armaf. Didn't get much discount and paid a near mrp for this one. You may better go for some cheaper Nike perfumes etc if you're going to blind buy rather than go for this one because you will end up spraying it just as much anyway. Also, I would like to mention that if you're an introvert i think there is a high chance that you might abhor this fragrance.

If you purchased this thinking you would be getting a very spot on clone of Chanel Platinum Egoiste, you would be disappointed. No more than a 50% clone to me. Don't get me wrong, they have similarities however Platinum Egoiste has more layers, noticeably changes throughout the scent life and has a slight outdated smell to it. Beau Acute takes the Petitgrain and citruses from Platinum and makes them the STAR - like you barely get anything else, especially if you sniff it up close. The smell you get in the entirety of Beau Acute, you only get for like 15min to a half hour with Platinum before Platinum moves on to other stages - so keep that in mind when you're thinking this is a spot on clone. Also think this fragrance smells MUCH better in the air than it does if you smell it up close. SUMMARY POINTS: - a tart,sharp but very fresh and classy citrus-dominated fragrance with slight undertones of vetiver+jasmine; I have not tested Petitgrain in any fragrance other than Beau Acute and Platinum Egoiste so I'm assuming it is this note that gives this citrus freshie a different twist than most other citrus-fresh scents - PERFECT all-year scent for the office and can be used to freshen up before and after the gym - on my skin, if you spray 2 to 4 times on exposed skin (neck + wrists) projection will be more pronounced - but still projects for like 1 to 1.5 hours before becoming a skin scent that lasts for 7 hours max. - I wouldn't call this a romantic or sexy scent. Any occasion that is not calling you to be romantic or sexy, this will definitely do. 3.75 out of 5 stars

Crisp white shirt, boat shoes, french frames with french names, and a smile wide as all outdoors. Why? Because you know you have on a scent that appeals to all ages. It is not ground breaking, but a strong "dumb reach" when you can't make up your mind what to wear or you don't want to waste sprays on your more expensive juice. Is this Platinum Egoiste? NO, but they have similarities. Basically, it is enough to say that this is copying it. However, do not buy this because it is a clone or alternative. Instead, try it because it fits the scent profile of a fresh citrus that is great for work situations and general work horse fragrance. It fits all situations. Is works best in the warm weather. This is not a beast of a fragrance, but you can get a 3-5 hour longevity from this. So what do you get from this? Petitgrain, bergamot, orange, lemon, with a splash of vetiver--MOSTLY. The performance is lacking, but well worth the price for the warm weather rotation. VERY inoffensive and safe. YT shaveNontheDarkside

This is 99% similar to Franck Olivier Sunrise. The citrus in the opening is a little stronger in this one, making the fragrance seem fuller and brighter, but otherwise they are the exact same fragrance. That is to say that both are A&F Fiece/MB Legend inspired fragrances: lots of lavender in the mid and lots of musk in the base. It is NOT a clone of Platinum Egoiste - that is Armaf Legesi! IMO it's six of one, half a dozen of another when it comes to Armaf Beau Acute and Franck Olivier Sunrise. I blind-bought this one after already owning Sunrise and while there is a slight difference in the opening, they are both decent substitutes for modern-day Fierce. Both have clean, relaxing vibes but lack the "oomph" the original formulation of Fierce had. It's decent for the 25 bucks it goes for I suppose.

Scent: 6+/10 Value: 8/10 Longevity: 5-/10 Sillage: 4/10 Versatility: 6/10 Armaf Beau Acute is a good fresh musky scent. The opening is soft. I get an aquatic and green feel at the same time. It is SIMILAR to Montblanc Legend but I like Legend better. However, that being said, I think you will get your money's worth with this. Longevity and sillage are OK. Expect to get 3 to 4 hours if you go heavy with the trigger. This scent is a musky freshy so expect the sillage and longevity to take a hit. That comes with this type of scent DNA. My wife doesn't like this one as she thinks in has a peculiar note (probably the florals coming through. I would buy Montblanc Legend over this... It does the same thing a bit better. Hope this helps.

It's nice, not great, it's not niche, so not polarizing, no love or hate about it, it's a casual summer fragrance, not signature worthy, but great sillage. Its jean and T-shirt only, for young people or 40+ dudes who want to reminisce the good old times. If you find it cheap or on a discount, 10–15 dollars, buy it, otherwise, don't. No backup bottle worthy.

An excellent cheapie and safe blind buy. On my skin, a sweet, woody fragrance with citrus notes that is office safe and suitable to be worn all year, day or night. I get good performance, around 7 hours, and decent projection. I have no complaints for the price,

This was a blind buy having read and watched several reviews of Armaf frags and I am very pleased with it. I know some reviews have said this is a PE clone but on my skin the similarities only come out at about the 4 hour mark, up till then it's more like my vintage bottle of Eternity (albeit watered down) which really surprised me in a good way. Projection is subtle on me, maybe an arms length, certainly not a beast like Lapidus PH or Bogart PH, but that suits this scent. Longevity is high as I get 10-12 hours out of it, so again that ticks the box. Light, fresh, unassuming but pleaaantly hanging round in the background. Well worth the £16 I paid for it.

Very inoffensive yet quite unique fragrance -- one of the better dumb reaches in my collection. Fresh, green/blue type fragrance. I smell bergamot, musk, lavender and fir even though it's not listed as a note, but that might be the petitgrain.. It smells slightly sweet but mostly just aromatic. It's hard to offend anyone with this, even if it projects quite well and lasts a long time. Highly recommend!

Great scent, huge projection, eternal performance, my nose never goes blind on this one. I am interested to find out what others experienced in this respect. Is it just me, or is the molecules in the fragrance? Also, what other fragrances are nose-blindness resistant from your experience?

At first glance i was like.. damn another wrong blind buy.. It smelled funky?? In 5 minutes I smelled again... yes baby.. sour paradise! The frag is fresh to say the least. I had a similar Scuderria ferarri in the past but it was very short lived. This one is specially fresh!

Estiara 200 men for men deodorant is better and economical. Most of armafs are in different bottles. Legesi,beau acute and estiara backpack green and estiara 200 men and maybe many more. Nothing great it's generic.

It's a very clean, inoffensive smell that won't draw a single compliment but won't wrinkle any noses either. Essentially a good deodorant, not much of a perfume per se. Absolutely no sillage.

Decent fragrance, honestly reminded me of hairspray at first smell. It's a fresh, inexpensive option for a casual unimportant event or the gym. Worth the price.
