Connoisseur Man

Oooh. I have Y Elixir and Connoisseur Man on side by side. The Armaf is the winner. It has more about it. For me, it's a mix of YSL Y with Invictus. I don't hate Y Elixir, I'd say it's cleaner and fresher, but the cheapest I've seen it for is £86. Armaf Connoisseur? I got it for £25. When it's at least comparable to something three times more in cost, it's time to buy it. Don't sleep on this fragrance.

My bottle just arrived yesterday. I would sy this is a straight up Y Le Parfum with a much more sweeter take from the og. I don't know why, but I'm getting some of this sweet and salty Invictus-sy nuance in this fragrance. It's like it is a hibrid of Y le parfum and invictus. With Y DNA as the main Character in here. Well that's from my newbies nose. Don't know about you guys.

Crisp, manly, with distinct amber sweetness, nothing outstanding. It’s my first impression so I’m not sure about the parameters but YSL Y DNA is there. I would place it somewhere between Montblanc Legend Spirit and Dylan Blue. Good allrounder, good for office and hanging out. Honest 7,5/10 on first try on skin.

People seems to hate on this because its armaf release, such pity....

A good casual use YSL Y inspiration (because this is evidently sweeter and less aromatic) that is quite a disappointment because of the borderline abysmal performance. I initially thought the low performance rating is just usual fragrantica new release shenanigans but it is indeed quite a fair bit weak compared to Armaf standards. It just projects for the first 30 mins or so and then just stick close to the skin that you need to dig your nose into the skin; lasts for about 6 hours or so at the most and then its practically gone. Don't get me wrong, the quality of the scent is quite good and the bottle is solid, better than even the CDN line bottles; but the performance is quite the opposite, which is a shame considering I had high hopes from this. All in all, I would recommend other YSL Y alternatives or atleast sampling this before buying to test it out on your skin. For this price, there are better alternatives - a disappointment.

I have this and, maybe it needs to mature for a while? I guess on the dry down I get an essence of YSL Y Le Parfum. It's like a mix ofLLe Parfum and L'Elixir, but not really either. Not unpleasant, not super potent, just a scent carrying the spirit of YSL Y. What's that one Lattafa release from a while back that was supposed to be like YSL Y EdP? Fakar Silver or something. This is kind of like that, but not as rough of an opening. I'll probably let it sit for a while, but it's a "meh" for me after the first wear.

In no state of consciousness, no matter how much one has to drink, is this anywhere near YSL Y. I fell for the hype, overpaid, gave it 3 months, and sold it today for a loss. Pass on this one fellas. YSL Y EDP is where its at... 8 hours of room filling projection with minimal sprays. The women will notice you or your money back.

People have all the right to hate armaf especially after they watered-down a big portion of their fragrances. But i don't think is fair for people to be able to vote on a fragrance that wasn't even been released yet. How hard can it be for fragrantica admins to lock votes until the fragrance gets released?

I would like to hate on it, because my Untold was watered down (I didn't know Armaf was on that kind of time) anywho. I need a goood YSL Y EDP or LE PARFUM
