Derby Club House Blanche

First and foremost, I've never smelled Creed's Silver Mountain Water. Now that that's out of the way... This is a nice clean scent, however, while clean and smooth, the opening, and the first half hour of wear, have an unnatural, almost pungently clean smell that reminds me of cleaning products. After 30 minutes to 1 hour however, or after it's exposed to heat, the scent changes DRASTICALLY! After that, it's smooth, clean, like freshly washed clothes in Tide detergent but cooler and more powdery, almost floral. When those powdery notes start to appear, THAT's where the scent really shines, and that's where the scent stays until it dissipates. In my opinion, a stronger floral note and less pungently clean opening would make this a very popular scent. For me, I'll wear this before bed, while cleaning, or possibly use it to spray my bed sheets or car with. That's by no means a terrible thing, if I didn't like it I wouldn't keep it, however it's not one that I'll wear out very often. Unless I'm heading to the car wash. On that occasion, I think this would be my first choice. Overall, don't let my negative comments steer you away from trying this one. I think it's a very interesting scent and definitely worth experiencing. I can't say how close it is to Creed Silver Mountain Water, but it's very nice in its own right. No complaints on longevity and projection is quite heavy. UPDATE: To avoid the pungent opening, spray from further away to mist yourself rather than letting it saturate any one specific area. If you want a stronger smell, allow it to dry, then reapply, again, in a mist. The end result smells AWESOME! This scent is a "miss" in my book when it's applied too heavily to one area, but apply it from further away and it becomes something awesome AND will last for a LONG time. It's the difference between not really liking this scent and instead loving it. Huge difference. It's all in the application! Update 2: I got another bottle of this one lately (still an older bottle, 09/2016 batch) and this one doesn't have that pungent opening. It's also much lighter and doesn't perform as well as the other bottle though. Very drastic difference between the two, but I will keep this one in spite of its performance and reapply as necessary. Smells divine :)

Happened to drop by nearby brick-and-mortar and they had this at 25 bucks. I sampled it, along with Supremacy Heaven because I was curious. This by far is way smoother than Supremacy in Heaven, which had that typical "Afnan" basenote DNA, to the point I wouldn't call it a clone to my beloved SMW. I am going to preface this like I did with Sillage review - I wore SMW for years before I grew tired of it. It was in a constant rotation in 2010s all the way. Sillage was too screechy, but that strong performance is already worth getting it. This, to my nose is way better fragrance than Sillage. Derby Club House Blanche is just so much more wearable. As a person in health care, I try my best to minimize my triggers - and this is just perfect for that. Less "oily ambroxan", a bit of bitterness along with that fruity berry and musk reminds me of honey. I love this. EDIT: I thought it was closer in the citrus aspect to Xerjoff Mefisto in its refreshing quality - I stand corrected. It's similar but not as refreshing as Mefisto.

This is a fantastic summer fragrance that pairs nicely with very hot weather. I took the roll-on version of Al Rehab "Silver" with me on a trip to Vegas, and got very familiar with its scent during my trip. I liked it so I bought a second roll-on bottle. When I discovered Armaf, I was curious about "Blanche" because I found out it was another variation of Creed SMW. When comparing "Silver" to "Blanche", the latter is far superior. The scent is much deeper, and does not have even a hint of the synthetic/metallic properties that are easily detectable in "Silver". Armaf's version really is awesome. Some other reviews here say that the difference is not distinguishable when compared to SMW, and I totally believe it. "Blanche" smells very natural, and even has that water note in it. This is a real treat, and stands out as an excellent hot weather fragrance.

At first, I wondered what the hell I’d done. The initial spray brought nothing. A weak tea scent with a slight whiff of citrus. So I sprayed some more. And that’s the key. Ok, it’s an EDT, but there’s something about this scent that gets better with time. I’m unsure if it’s my batch but the more I get into the bottle, the better it gets. I’m about 20ml in and it’s bloody fantastic. In the morning (around 6am), I spray my shirt twice on the collar and I spray my neck 3-4 times. And it lasts until midday. I’ve had a couple of compliments this week. Projection is OK if you get the sprays right. Longevity is OK, too. Maybe top up again midday and you’re set until around 5pm/6pm. Overall, it’s a classy scent. Green tea and citrus leading to a flowery/tea dry down. Probably best for those spring months. Well worth the $30 AUD. A repeat buy.

Longevity: 7 Projection: 7 Value: 9 SMELL: 9 So let me premise this by saying that I am new to collecting and analyzing fragrances and with a rather dull nose as well lol, but I absolutely love this. I’ll have to agree with many other reviews in saying this scent shines in the heat. I find the projection to be pretty good and it lasts a decent while (6ish good hours) on my skin. You will definitely leave a scent trail shortly after putting it on, but unfortunately projection dies down rather quickly with this fragrance. For the price though, I think it’s very reasonable; since I’m a relatively broke college student I haven’t had the chance to try any of the expensive fragrances so I don’t have something amazing to compare to. (SMW)

**UPDATE BELOW** I want to like it but I don't. It's better than nothing. Spray it heavy ish before you leave the house on a hot summer day and it will do. My first impression was that it smells like the Poo-pourri you spray in the toilet & you can't smell the poo. Doesn't smell great but takes care of the stink. This is the Poo-Pourri of summer scents. **UPDATED REVIEW** Someone below recommended taking the cap off & letting it sit. I took it a step further and removed the atomizer cap as well for about a month. I'm shocked that it worked & I'm pleased that it did. Right out of the gate it had a citrus blast and a clean dry down like everyone else said. No more Poo-pourri!! Batch#232527 4-2017 Made in France

I love Creed Silver Mountain Water. The metallic sharpness, the fresh citruses, blackcurrant and musk works so well together. Like you took a shower under a waterfall. Derby Club House Blanche is a bit more mass appealing than SMW or other dupes. It’s airy, less metallic and can’t be oversprayed. However It doesn’t last all that long and doesn’t project even after 10+ sprays. It is however a very well done SMW dna. I wish it had power, but i paid 11€ for it and if the scent itself is great, i won’t complain at that price. 82/100

Was fortunate to have a spray of SMW today. A classy scent. Came home and popped DCHB on the other wrist to compare. There’s some similarity and there’s some difference. SMW has a metallic smell, projects strongly and has so far lasted 6.5 hours. I can still get a fairly strong whiff. DCHB is still a fantastic scent. Understandably, not on a par with SMW. I’d say CDNS is closer to SMW, but still not close enough. On my skin. Which has given me an idea. I’m wondering if CDNS and DCHB would layer/blend well? Will report back.

clean, fresh and the green tea smell is definitely there, a very relaxing fragrance. The longevity is pretty bad but to be honest its what you can expect from a fragrance with these notes and at this price point of course. This one isnt super masculine so if you want something entirely masculine this may not be it, its very different from other fragrances i have. for the price point , there is literally no reason not to get this to just wear around the house or for a run to the store or something like that.

Its fresh and invigorating aroma is perfect for warm days. This DNA is valued for those who love zesty, lemony and effervescent notes, I do. DCHB smells better and more balanced and natural than Club de Nuit Sillage. Longevity and sillage: weak, I must say, but there's plenty of juice in its 100 ml bottle to reload along the day. You can also layer it with ambroxan, it really improves performance without changing the notes. Performance: 6/10 Scent: 8.5/10 Price: 10/10 A great buy for twenty some dollars.

I suspect DCH Blanche has been reformulated more than once. I have a 2016 bottle (Made in France) that smells fantastic, it also has great longevity, projection and sillage. I would suggest seeking out an older bottle pre-2017. I would also add that every Armaf fragrance I have owned has taken a few months to really start smelling good. If you have a new bottle I would recommend letting it sit for a while after you first spray it. It will change.

The more I wear this, the better I like it. At first I wasn't sure. It is a little weird and unexpected. But now I really like smelling it on myself during the day. I enjoy both the opening and the dry down. It does produce compliments from others as well. Nothing wrong with the performance, lasts most of the day. It was a blind buy, but not difficult, as it is an absolute steal in terms of the price.

Crisp and fresh, though I have had longer lasting shower gels. Smell: 6/10 Good & refreshing Sillage: 4/10 average arm length within the first 30 min 6 sprays Longevity: 2/10 very short life about 2 hours with 6 spray and tha't 30 min with good projection and 11⁄2 hour average sweet smelling skin scent verdict: 4/10 if you don't have it, you don't need it.

Currently I own SMW, Sillage, Al Rehab, Al Wisam and now this... Loving this DNA is an understatement I’m truly obsessed. I can say it’s very similar to Al Wisam with better longevity, less harsh than silage, with less projection than Sillage. In my opinion it’s the closet to SMW for 30 you absolutely cannot beat it. 8.2/10

I love the smell of this fragrance, but it has no silage or longevity. After 5 minutes, I have to put my nose next to my wrist to smell it. Konga5000 below stated “... but nobody will smell this on you.“ Sadly, that’s the truth about this fragrance. Disappointing because it smells so nice.

Yeah, this smells exactly of SMW. They are virtually indistinguishable. I would mirror what Cireal has said here. This is a step up from Silver by Al Rehab. It smells of a higher grade than the Silver. I seriously doubt even experienced noses could tell the difference between this and SMW.

Just got it and it's very Soapy/Watery. I've never tried SMW so I can't compare THEM. It's easy to wear for any occasion but it lasts about 2-3 hours and you have to reapply. Longevity: 4/10 Projection: 8/10 Scent: 9/10 Overall: 7/10 Very pleasant scent and a lovely atomizer. 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

Opening is a little slow but within 10 minutes it softens to a very nice fragrance. The SMW relationship is a bit closer than I expected, I find this to be a very nice fragrance regardless. The bag for the buck is high.

This scent is criminally underrated. For the price, it's 100% worth it. Very light, happy spring time vibes. Doesn't perform like a monster, but in a good way.. it's subtle. Performance: 6/10 Scent: 9/10 Price: 10/10

Armaf does it again with this fragrance. I would say there is more than 90% resemblance to Creed Silver Mountain Water. Very nice blend of green tea and citruses. Longevity is 6+ hrs.

i love this smell but this one has weak projection and even weaker performance i really wish the situation was different although i love the smell its just not living up to the hype

Took me some time to actually like this one. Maceration was worth it. Now I can feel the citrus and fruity part. Before maceration, was some kind of green messy tea fragrance.

Amazing, pretty close to SMW. For me it lasts quite long even in the summers, iam amazed by the longevity and somewhat unique smell. Would i buy again? Definitely Yes.

The opening of this is really weird. After about an hour it dries down to something really special, kind of a creamy herbal aroma. Glad I bought it.

Never tried any Creed stuff so nothing to compare to. I get a citrus/sea feel from it. Perfect for the summer. Might be my new fave summer frag.

Loved the freshness but performance was essentially nil. My bottle says EDP rather than EDT though, anyone else?

This one has grown on me. It's rich, natural smelling, funky. You will smell unique and very green

Layers well with Club De Nuit Sillage. Dry down is fantastic.

First Impressions: This reminded me of Silver Mountain Water for a few seconds after spraying it, but then that similarity started to fade to my nose. This is what I expected Al-Rehab's Silver to smell like, which was actually much better than I expected. Silver Mountain Water has become one of my favorite fragrances, so I've been wanting to check out fragrances that are similar. I have found some gems that way like Rasasi Al-Wisam Day and Entebaa. Al-Wisam Day could be considered an alternative to SMW, Entebaa is not. Anyway, Armaf Derby Club House Blanche is missing the magic of Silver Mountain Water. The most volatile top notes are similar. It doesn't have the inky note, which is something I love. Derby Club House Blanche also leans more masculine. I really like the unisex quality of SMW, so if I were looking for a SMW replacement (I'm not) I would miss that in this fragrance. It is different though, which is nice on it's own. As it starts to dry down (around the 30 minute mark) this stuff gets better smelling. I still find it the least similar of the SMW alternatives I have smelled. I may still wear this, but I won't be buying a second bottle of this stuff. If you're looking for a Silver Mountain Water alternative, you will be much more satisfied with Al-Wisam Day or Ajmal Silver Shade. Here's how I'd rate the alternatives or "clones" that I have tried from best to worst: Silver Mountain Water Al-Wisam Day (On some days, I would say that AWD is as good as SMW) Ajmal Silver Shade (tied with Al-Wisam Day. Silver Shade has a much more metallic smell with citrus) Al-Rehab Silver roll-on Al-Rehab Spray Armaf Derby Club House Blanche Of the Armafs I have tried, here's how I would rank them by quality from best to worst: Club de Nuit Intense for Women Tres Nuit Derby Club House Blanche Club de Nuit Intense for Men I've purchased all of my Armaf fragrances for $20 or less. For the price, you get great quality, much better than what you'd get for $20 from a western house. I definitely prefer Rasasi over Armaf from what I've smelled though.

This is very close to SMW. That being said, the galbanum note is bitter,screechy, and in your face. Each time I was enjoying the air around me, there is that irritating note. It makes the impression of Blanche dry to the point of distraction. It does lack the intense inky note of Al-Rehab Silver (Blanche is a better scent), but the chypre slap is a real negative for me. SMW is better blended and more even to the nose, as you would expect. This is stout. Three sprays and you taste it. Two is too many. This is one of those rare one spray overkills! I notice it is too strong when sprayed on my shirt. I recommend this and do wear this, just go lightly and it is good. Edit: I have been wearing this for a few days in a row. It is never invisible to my nose. It is constantly there. Most scents leave my focus after an hour or two. Not this. It keeps my attention and I get tired of it. I still think it is very good, but so loud, just like SMW. I never smell the listed notes for SMW. I do not smell some of the notes listed for this one too. I still get too much yellow floral. I don't detect citrus or sandalwood. Strength 10/10 Projection 10/10 Scent 7/10 Longevity 10/10 It never goes away IME.

I had no idea what this was one when I smelled it. I thought right away, hmm this smells like silver mountain water. And when I found out what the fragrance was and came here to read the notes and reviews it all made sense. I don't know what people are talking about with it being super harsh and all of that. To me its a very clean and the tea note stands out. It has the DNA of silver mountain water and smell well blended and pretty natural to my nose for the price. Its a light scent on my skin, nothing beast or crazy. I think this one isn't as feminine smelling as silver mountain water which makes it better to me.. Not sure if the performance is better or worse than SMW, haven't smelled that in years.. I am sure the Creed is probably more complex and more natural smelling, but I remember I didn't like it because it was too heavy on the floral notes. Scent 4/5 Performance 3/5

I have had this for a couple of years now, but i only wear it in warmer times. I do not own Armaf CDN Sillage, which supposedly is also a clone of Creed SMW. On my skin, this one has a super fresh greenish (tea) and citrus notes. Comes across with a bit of florals as well. Smells great on me, and has pulled unsolicited comments before. I guess my chemistry is different than most, because i get awesome performance from this given it's price point. My measuring stick for longevity is: Can I still smell it on me after work? Call me simple if you want to, but i never expect fragrances to still be killer after a full day of work. There's just too many variables at play. That being said, i can definitely still smell this on me after work, more so than some other more expensive frags that i own. So i'd say 7-8 hours. Bottle 6 Scent 7 Longevity 7 Power 8 Overall 7

I have Armaf Derby Club House Blanche, Al-Rehab Silver, Rasasi Al Wisam Day, and a 5ml sample vial of Creed Silver Mountain Water. In short, there is no ample substitute for Creed SMW, but this is the closest alternative. Al Wisam Day is metallic, lasts a very long time, has the same metallic essence, but the rose makes a huge difference and throws off the scent. Good on it's own, but you must love rose. Al-Rehab Silver has the same metallic essence and has incredible value, but smells way too synthetic and isn't nearly as pleasant. Which brings me to Armaf Derby Club Blanche. I get a HARSH opening that's very off-putting. HOWEVER, the dry down is great and actually the closest to Creed SMW. Worth the $20.

I took a risk on this one. After reading several reviews on here I thought I’d try it anyway because I was looking for a creed mountain water clone. I’ve never smelled CMW, but if this is what it smells like, it’s not that bad. It’s a niche scent, and to me it’s aromatic. I can’t really even explain the smell as I’ve never smelled anything quite like it. The reviewers are also right in saying that it has poor longevity. I timed it from first spray until skin scent. And I got about 3 hours. The crazy thing is though, I get little wife’s from it throughout the day. For 20$ dollars I’m not sure what more people want. Longevity-5 Silage-8 Scent-9 Overall-7 Time until becoming skin scent-3 hours.

Just like Shugenja reported, it smelled offensive to me at first but after spraying it over 20x and having it for a few weeks it feels like it's opened up. I get a super blast of citrus that is some of the driest and freshest I've ever encountered. I especially like spraying this on the left and right side of my neck and then spraying MontBlanc Legend Spirit (which is sweet bubblegum and often compared to Invictus Aqua) on the front and back of my neck. Super dry + super sweet, both ultra refreshing and the result is incredible to me.

For the price it was worth blind buying and it didn’t disappoint initially. Nice opening, fresh, aquatic amd citrus. Having had a decant of SMW by Creed, this bears a striking resemblance. If you want that vibe but can not afford SMW, definitely give this a try. Now only one downfall that keeps this as a like rather than a love...and it’s something that plagues a lot of citrus fresh fragrances....longevitiy. It’s very poor, after an hour it’s a very close skin scent. What a shame, cause apart from that I really like it.

After owning a bottle of Al Wisam Day, and smelling this fragrance, I have to say this is very much similar to the latter. Although this has a 'piercing' note which was not observed in Al Wisam Day. I think it's the metallic note that people are referring to. So smell wise this is 90% similar to AWD, the difference being the piercing smell. If AWD was a 10/10 then this is 7.5/10 Seriously though, nothing can beat Al Wisam Day in the 'similar smelling' category. Stuff's legendary!

I purchased this after having purchased CDN Sillage, which I really enjoy, and I find it to be almost exactly the same. I’m not sure why Armaf has produced two products that are essentially the same. The metallic note is less noticeable in DCH and the performance is weaker. I really like the Derby Club House bottles, a classic and attractive packaging. This is a pleasant fresh green/aquatic fragrance and the less than $25 price tag makes this a good buy.

Blanche should be given credit as a great scent on its own. No matter what the inspiration was. It is pleasant, vibrant, and a very positive scent and feeling for the wearer.It is just very good on its own merits. A great product at a fantastic price. For me the key to this was to spray it on clothing beneath my chest to get my nose out of it. It is meant to be experienced in the air.

Poor quality control in the house of armaf. I have previous had a bottle of this, with very poor performance, last 30 min to 1 hour and it was gone- completely. Now I have bought a new bootle. What a difference. A way better performance. Now I get 6-8 hours. Something tells me, that Armaf has a complete lack of quality control.

Almost a roselike inky opening, then becomes the black currant tea smell. The black currant smell is like a dried one you can find for baking. Still a bit inky and tart in the dry down. Better than afnan version to me. lasted 8 hours on my skin with moderate projection. relatively linear. I am happy with the decant I got.

really lovely fragrance that could easily be worn by men and women. sadly it has the worst flaw of all: it lasts only a short while. It's not the most expensive out there, but still I expect a decent life out of anything I wear. This one dissapoints in there. Great for spring and summer, and probably even fall.

Inky green tea, opens very fresh and watery, keeps green and musky as it dries on my skin. Really comes alive in the heat. Best for spring and summer. Great dupe of Silver Mountain Water, but doesn't last as long as the original. Decant some to take along if you intend on it lasting all day.

Got the chance to compare this to SMV with a test a Dillard's. I find this to be a bit more "green tea" like, with moderate longevity and projection (can't speak for SMW.) Personally, I think this is an excellent alternative and makes a great day time office scent.

Update. I have had this for a long time now, and the bergamot has really bloomed and the scent is much improved. Exposure to air really matures this. It has gone from a like to a love for me!

I have had it for a round a week and the performance is weak I did not expect that from armaf mine is 2019 batch France, I really love the fragrance but performance is deal breaker for me.

I too did find a metallic aroma when I first tried it. Now I only wear it after dark. I do not know how or why, but at night it just smells wonderfully blended and not metallic.

Smells very pleasant and calming but DO NOT OVER SPRAY!!! this has a very weak scent with a strong scent trail but very little scent bubble. If you over spray to try and force a scent bubble it WILL choke out people. The green tea in this is very very dry smelling and if you inhale a lot of that scent it genuinely feels like your throat is closing up. Even people who are nowhere near you will get choked by this if you do 10 or more sprays so just keep it light for the sake of humanity. For $23 can't go wrong but the longevity really sucks like it's actually gone after 2 hours, and the base notes are never present. It just smells like dry green tea with some nice citrus and slight water notes but somehow the water doesn't get rid of the dryness. This also works amazing as a bathroom spray since the green tea overpowers any bad odors. My girlfriend also loves this stuff
