Desert Rose

I wanted something with passionfruit and oud, so I picked up this and Azzure Aoud. I’ve never smelled Oud Maracujá but I kinda knew what to expect and what I wanted, and I was feeling brave. In my opinion, the notes are accurate. At first, you get rose and passionfruit with some clean leather and a little slightly funky (in a good way) patchouli. As it dries down, the funk softens and the leather smooths out and picks up a light touch of dry vanilla. It’s unisex but leans feminine (according to my nephews), but I (43M) don’t care in the least. I think it’s something that you could wear in warmer months when you want this scent DNA in a gentler version that doesn’t fill (and slightly confuse) an entire room.

I happen to live in Ghana, and I must say I was lucky enough to grab this from "Tellsperfumecollectiongh". She got this banger in with the speed of light. This is a very nice high quality interpretation of the Oud Maracuja DNA. To some extent, you will find remote resemblance to Armami Prive’s Rose D'Arabie in the dry down. Really nicely done. Fruity oud and rose combo....if you find Oud Maracuja alluring, run out and get this, don't walk.

So far I’ve tried almost all oud maracuja clones except for itqan gold from zimaya which I have coming shortly This is probably the worse iteration. Azzure oud is also pretty bad. The only clone of oud maracuja I really like is pink to pink but I feel like it’s wayyyy too much passion fruit it runs it into a feminine leaning fragrance Will leave my final review on the zimaya clone once it’s here
