Dunescape

For anyone considering Dunescape: in practice, it smells like a blend of Y Eau de Parfum and Afternoon Swim. If you enjoy bright aquatic citrus fragrances, there’s a good chance you’ll like it. It isn’t as generically “blue” as Y EDP on its own, but it’s just as crowd-pleasing. The blood orange and mandarin influence from Afternoon Swim gives it a more refined, upscale citrus character. At the same time, the Y EDP DNA keeps it from turning into an overwhelming orange blast the way Afternoon Swim sometimes can, combining everything into a more hybrid scent. For 30-35$ it's worth at least a decant try if decantified has it. Bottle is a breaking concern due to shape and the sand inside, and the atomizer isn't the best for those who care about that. 8.5/10, Definitely in my warm weather/blue rotation. I feel better wearing this on a casual day vs one's that are more expensive/better quality that I want to save for an occasion, so I find a lot of value in that personally!

It opens up really fresh and energetic, and to me, it is a photo-realistic hybrid of Y EDP and LV Afternoon Swim. The longevity is pretty impressive, I get around 8-10 hours on it, a little more as a skin scent. Projection is mid at best, but hey, for a freshie like this one, the performance is pretty solid. 9/10, great summer pickup.

Fantastic fragrance for someone looking for a perfect copy of YSL Y EDP. Better version than Fakhar black and Odyssey mega having tried both. Its duration is very close to YSL and the projection is intense for 4 maybe 5 hours, of course less than YSL but at 1/3 the price. I highly recommend it.

Armaf Dunescape is a really nice, easy-to-wear fragrance. It starts off fresh and clean, then settles into a smooth, slightly warm scent that feels very comfortable. It’s not too strong, just the right balance for daily use. Perfect if you like simple, fresh and classy vibes

Best cheapy for summer....it doesn't fade away in 6-7 hours even in the scorching heat in Bangladesh...so u can rely on this perfume very easily....... And great longevity and projection....and as the cherry on top... The Bootle design is so cool...

This might be the best dupe of YSL Y. Far better than lattafa fakhar. I would say this is 90-95% YSL Y with a bit more citruses. Very versatile and just smells so pleasant, something for any time, season, occasion etc. Blind buy safe 100%

This is really nice. Fresh, citrusy and has a small sour note from the apple and the warm woody from the cashmeran. The bottle is fabulous, Armaf quality. The longevity on skin is great. Love it.

I’ve had this for a few months. Very good fresh fragrance. Lasts 7-8 hours. It smells very similar to Y EDP with extra citrus in the opening.

I put this on in 32° heat at 8am and when I was playing pickleball at 6pm I could smell this masking my sweat and it smelled great. Not sure if the notes just make me go nose-blind pretty quick but the scent seems to sit pretty close to the skin, until you sweat then it spreads nicely, so it's great for summer. For the price it's 100% worth a buy. The bottle is pretty cool and it sounds like runescape, both of which are a plus. Overall 3.9/5. If money is an issue and you dont have many other fragrances i'd push it closer to a 5/5

I don't enjoy the opening of this scent; it feels a bit stuffy, creating an almost can't-breathe feeling. (Probably because I personally don't like the blood orange smell.) But if you give it 30 mins, it dries down into this clean, well-put-together and elegant scent. Got a compliment the first day of wearing this. Although discussing further, the complimenter mentioned that the scent lacks a bit of identity, which is described a lot before, as it is sitting on the line between Yves Saint Laurent's Y EDP and Louis Vuitton's Afternoon Swim. Performance is solid for sure for the price point. Will project for a good 4-5 hours and then fade to a skin/arm-length scent for the next 3-4 hours. On clothes this will last 12 h+.

Dumb easy reach during the hotter days of the year. Would totally rock this as a casual scent: Gym; Errands; and definitely signature scent worthy if you're working outdoors/the office. Let's be perfectly clear this something to start your fragrance journey; as you get deeper you'll find better for other situations that stand out more. I will also like to say in regards to the Axe body spray comparison: that Axe body spray is also an inspo of YSL Y. So please know that Dunescape is infinitely more expensive smelling. This is another mass appealing blue shower gel scent that is a bit salty.

Dunescape has a great opening, very similar to LV Afternoon Swim, but that dissipates rather quick and settles in as that YSL Y EDP we all know and love. I think mine might need a little more maturing (it's been 3-4 weeks) but it lasted around 5-6 hours. Not bad but I am not bring it to work for an 8hour workday just to reapply it. Still a great summer scent that does really well in heat for the first few hours. I enjoy it.

My take is that this is NOT a "combination of Afternoon swim and Y EDP" It's more sweet and candied rather than citrusy, and it doesn't have any herbal-aromatic side to it as Y EDP clearly does, there's a note in Y EDP that completely sets it apart from this, maybe geranium or clary sage idk, but it produces a very pleasing and balanced character, it's also more tart and sophisticated than Dunescape, this has the vague "body" of Y EDP but not exactly it, it feels very rough and unbalanced The opening or the "Afternoon Swim" part is not exactly that, it's veeeeeeery sweet and fruity rather than citrusy, it's a super sweet ripe Mandarin, almost Erba Pura-ish, and it smells more candied and cartoonish rather than being a "realistic rind of an orange" Anyway I liked this but wouldn't necessarily say it's AS with Y EDP, and it was very cheap so 7/10

This has to be the most flat fragrance I've smelled in a while.. For the concentration that it boasts, its truly nothing like an extrait, doesn't behave like one and doesn't sit like one. This is a laughable attempt at YSL EDP, you'd think they would nail the juice with a loud bottle like that, naw man, it's all a$$. It's weak first of all, 5-6 hours at most and disappears off your skin, on clothes last a bit longer but man it just smells OFF, it smells like moth balls, nothing quality about the juice here, it's got no journey, it's linear as hell and super boring. I wasted my money on this and I am sad.

Holy hell this stuff is awful. Take a poorly done YSL Y dupe, dose it up with some cheap musk, and throw in something screechy horrific just to round it all out. I've tried some bad frags in my years, from niche and designer as well. This just about reaches the top of the shit pile of miserable failures I've come across. 'But it's afternoon swim mixed with Y!' The fuck it is. This is nasty. I don't even remember how much this was when I added it to my cart from fragflex or wherever I got it from. I just know it's getting binned like immediately...

Ok so the bottle may be a little tacky looking, but I got to give it to them for effort! I mean.. sand (most likely from the middle east) in a bottle... that's pretty cool. The scent: The full wear experience with this fragrance is it opens with a strong mix of lemon, orange citrus, ginger, sage and cashmere. As it starts to soften down I get a little more of the very sweet amber / rose and apple. The dry down becomes a muskier amber with a soft woodiness to it. Supposed to be a YSL Y PARFUM dupe. Have no smelt the OG so I can not compare. As you can see in the photo slides, this is a Extrait De Parfum. So it's supposed to be highly concentrated in perfume oil. The experience: Wearing Dunescape was kind of a rollercoaster. Starts great, quickly goes downhill, and eventuallyyy it smells great again? Not sure what's going on here. My guess? Needs some extra time to mature and round out a bit more! When I first spray Dunescape on paper it smells exclusive and great. I'm a huge fan of ginger and lemon and it has plenty of that. On skin though, things change a lot. The opening seems to disappear a lot quicker. Both my girl employees liked it at first. It smelled very familiar, and then one of my girl employees nailed it. It smells identical to the AXE blue body spray! About 30 minutes later our opinions changed on the fragrance as it dried down more.. It didn't smell as special, and also I started to really see how synthetic it sort of smells. It might need some more maturing as this might help the synthetic smell round out more. I hope. Initially sprayed at 11 and at 12 It still hadn't rounded out yet. It did become a LOT sweeter though. Nobody liked it, including myself at this point. However my next update at 2pm was a very good one. The fragrance has almost changed into another fragrance yet again. All 3 of us agreed it didn't smell like how it smelled at 12, and we all really liked it at this point. Actually it even felt comparable to designer quality. It really was quite soft though at this point. Projection is maybe 1 - 2 inch at this point. Super close scent bubble. 6pm and it's just a faint skin scent now. A great one though I will admit. My rating: Rating: Longevity 7/10 Sillage 7/10 Scent score 7.3/10 Overall score 7/10 Conclusion: I need to give this bottle more time to mature since I'm not quite impressed on opening the box and using it like I have with some others. Opens up nice enough but felt a little synthetic and also dried down into something I didn't really like. The dry down after quite a few hours does get better though. Scent has some evolution to it, I'll give it that lol. I think once the bottle matures more, I may need to revise my score, but now it's definitely a try before you buy situation over here. I dont know man, so far not impressed, its a nice scent dont get me wrong, but its no way near 4.5/5 scent. and no, its not 90%-95%, not even close to that, I have them both on my hand right now, you get a similar vibe to ysl y, but y edp is just on another level unfortunately, trust me I wish it was not the case, its just missing all of the depth making this scent feel like what you pay for, not a gem. Dont know about longevity and performance yet, didnt give it a proper wear yet.

Y EDP element nailed, and then switched up by the hybrid approach of adding some Afternoon Swim components. Makes it as easy and mass appealing to wear, with something of a happier overall vibe. Well done.
