Marjan Red

I bought this for the pretty bottle and either the contents have been replaced with a heavily-masculine style cologne, or the description, packaging and designation as a perfume for women are all incorrect and entirely misleading. Or possibly a mistake was made at the bottling/packaging point during production.. I have many unisex fragrances, several are actually masculine-leaning, but this is SO far into the men's cologne category that I can't picture any woman wearing it. I purchased it from FragranceNet, so I can't be 100% certain about authenticity, but haven't had problems with them in the past. If the juice inside is the correct one, I have to say it's terrible (again, for a woman's perfume). It smells like a 80s/90s drugstore fragrance for men. I realize Armaf is a less expensive brand, but I have plenty of genuinely cheap perfumes that smell great. This is awful stuff.

Not a fan. Something smells like suede and it feels very flat. I was epecting something a tad richer with the amber & pineapple notes. I get no fruit off this except for a touch of citrus.

This is a very nice, sophisticated fragrance to add to your collection. Armaf markets it as a unisex scent, but I think it definitely smells more masculine. This well blended Eau de Parfum has a pronounced amber-wood/tonka base (more notably guiac wood than cedar) which provides a resinous "sweetness" throughout the scent journey. The florals in the mid appear to include magnolia along with jasmine, and I also detected some warm cinnamon/nutmeg spiciness in the olfactory pyramid. I don't find this Armaf creation similar to Dior Fahrenheit, but quite similar in structure to Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L 'Homme. I attended two consecutive Yacht Cub events, and wore Bulgari Man in Black on the first night, and Armaf Marjan Red on the next. No one commented on my Bulgari fragrance, but I received several compliments from this less expensive Armaf fragrance. I find this to be a cool climate, evening scent, perfect for dressy casual or semi-formal occasions. Keep in mind, the amber-wood/tonka base, combined with the bergamot and soft florals create a mature, "fougere-like" experience (which younger guys might not prefer), The closest designer fragrance I've found to this is Houbigant Paris, Match Race, Eau de Parfum. The host of the Yacht Club event thought I was wearing the Houbigant fragrance, the night I was wearing Armaf Marjan Red.
