Odyssey BA HA MAS

I've been consistently impressed by BA HA MAS every time I give it a shot. This is like a slap in the face via melon all the while you get this fresh marine layer in the background it's literally shocking how much melon is just assaulting you in the opening. I put my nose to it and all I can think is holy shit this stuff is going crazy right now. It cools off figuratively and literally after about 20 minutes where the sweetness and saltiness gets reigned in a bit but it is replaced by this pleasant airiness instead. To me it's a relief because I'm not sure I could handle smelling like the opening forever I'm not exactly going to say it is cloying but it is such an intense juicy melon scent and I'm just kinda mid on melon as a whole. The melon tries to transform a bit and at times it hits this sweet aquatic floral density where it feels like more of a clean shampoo but the airiness likes to keep dragging it back to the actual fruit with the marine essence sometimes. You never get a really distinct moss/earthiness/woodiness it all just kinda mixes well into this different interpretations of melon freshness. Over time the scent kinda unravels into the base notes they're always there it's just the base interpretations of everything else, salty musk, amber melon sweetness, a hint of floral/woods/green. This feels generally hard to go wrong with on some hot days if you just want to smell like melon. You just have to like melon and if you REALLY do this has gotta be one of the best freshies out there. Performance is kinda middling but it's not common to get melon done this well. The most basic interpretation is the idea of a melon marine shampoo though I think that does a slight disservice to the depth but it will give you a good idea.

With very few exceptions, most blue freshies are a take on the citrus/fruit and aquatic note blend. The less fruit, the more like fabric softener they smell. The more fruit, the more they lean towards Acqua di Gio knockoffs. On occasion, a hit like Nautica Voyage will find an original take that changes the game. Odyssey Ba Ha Mas is one such game changer. The key is the beautiful melon note that separates it from everything else out on the market. It's as distinctively different as Nautica Voyage's cucumber note is. That note blends with lightly sweet, more fruit, floral, musky, herbal, powdery and aquatic aromas into a cohesive blue freshie whole. Fresh fans will love this. This is unisex, performs great, and will be appreciated by younger users when used in warmer weather. Older users may find this too juvenile, but they should still try it in the summer heat. There's a ton of competition on the market out there, blue freshies are everywhere. But this is still a distinctive enough take to make it worth adding to your collection. Highly recommended.

At first you are getting an interesting mix of marine notes and cantaloupe. Cantaloupe is a very interesting note because it is a fruit with nice lactonic, musky and sweet characteristics. The lactonic smell was very surprising at first but when mixing with the marine notes it provides an interesting contrast that is on the complete opposite end of what I would normally wear. As it drys down I am getting more of the oak moss and frankincense. Frankincense is there somewhat in the beginning providing the more citrus like notes. Overall this stands out in my collection but may overlap with others who have things that lean more heavily into melon notes. This seems wearable all year round especially for those in the Bahamas or other hot tropical climates. Deeper into the dry down I am noticing something similar to Hawas ice. With the oak moss, musk and sugar. As far as executing on a theme one of the primary things that brings me back to the Bahamas are the marine notes. Cantaloupe is popular in the Bahamas but not as iconic as the other fruits like pineapples and mangoes from Eleuthera or general citruses from all around the islands. However those notes are overplayed in the current fragrance landscape and the pivot to Cantaloupe offers a tropical feel and uniqueness. Overall a solid release. Get your nose on this before you buy if possible but I would say it is blind buy safe when the price drops below $40.

Probably a hot take in here but imo this smells like “aqua di gio edp”, bahamas at first sniff it instantly reminded me of something that I couldn’t figure out what!! Turns out that the other day I wore my adg edp and it reminded me of bahamas lmao so thats when I put the 2 side by side and yeah bahamas smells very similar too it, bahamas is just a sweet/fruity version of adg edp!!! Therefore heres my honest review on bahamas longevity is easily 6 hrs+ on skin, and on clothes it’ll easily last you till your next wash. Projection is very nice as well people friends and family could smell my scent in my living room without me moving away. At last sillage is a no brainer walking down the mall I received 2 solid compliments from 2 males, 1 told me that he thought that what he was smelling was coming out from hollister and I was like easily 15 feet away from that store already eventually he knew it was me thats when I received the compliment lol

Odyssey Bahamas is pure vacation vibes from the first spray. It opens with a wave of juicy citrus and sun-kissed fruits that instantly transport you to white sandy beaches. As it settles, warm florals and smooth woods give it depth, like a breeze carrying hints of the ocean mixed with island blooms. What I love most is how versatile it is—fresh enough for daytime wear but with a touch of sweetness and warmth that makes it perfect for evening strolls or a night out. Longevity is impressive for such a fresh scent, and the compliments roll in non-stop. My girl could not stop smelling me and when I went out to bar a few ppl said it was amazing and not over powering even through I know I sprayed myself like 7-8 sprays lol. If you want to feel like you’re on an island getaway no matter where you are, Odyssey Bahamas is the ticket. 🌴🌊🍹

The opening cantaloupe and melon note is refreshing, slightly sweet, bright and tropical, then it has this fresh aquatic clean soapy dry down that makes this fragrance original but not offensive.. to the contrary it’s very approachable and almost familiar, (Like the smell of a luxurious high quality shampoo) but with a bit of complexity that makes u want to go back every few minutes to smell it again because its just a really pleasant and clean scent (this is like Nautica Voyage with a tropical twist that adds a little bit of a playfulness to this profile)

Honestly it's the sh*t. A musculine tropical melon long lasting banger. It's feel good, it hits the mark. I like Mega, Aqua, Mandarin Sky, White, and Limoni enough they do their thing, it's quality enough for the price point and well received. Waaay better than many other houses. Find a sale and get this it's a fun one😎

Majorly slept on frag imo. This is the unique, fruity, masculine scent you’re looking for. It has those sea note aspects in the background, hint of salt, algae etc. very tasteful but this makes it mature. Those saying this is “boring” or “immature.” Idk how to even respond to that lol this is another solid 10/10.

Absolute compliment machine in the summer. One of my new faves, gonna be wearing this all the time. I’m a sucker for fruity and aquatic fragrances. Great value for the price, lasts long and stays strong only gets fresher and cleaner as it dries down. Very refreshing. Reminds me of fruit stripes gum.

idk it kind of reminded me of the shampoo mom used to wash our hair, but still very tropical and fun, i love it because it gave me comfort, and sitting on the beach under the umbrella sipping a cold one on a sunny day. Most definitely using on vacations or just going to the pool.👍🏽

The melon is very present from the beginning, the pear & plum both are hugging each other for a brief moment in the opening, it's this seaside feeling calling underneath the pear, the star to me is the frankincense that's keep showing up throughout the fragrance life cycle

Fresh, sparkly and aquatic, salty. More masculine leaning but i love the playfulness and the fruity explosion. It's like having a party on Hawaiian beach wearing those colorful shirts with pineapples and drinking some fruity beverage😂

The fruit is less prominent than the salty marine scent. It does smell good but it is less exciting than the notes would have you believe so keep that in mind. Blind buy safe if you're looking for a nice marine scent.

Finally found a mineral scent that isn’t too heavy for women. The fruitysweetness is perfectly balanced with the mineral notes, making it feel truly unisex and effortlessly wearable for everyday use.

Best fresh fragrance ive smelled ever 10/10

BaHaMas opens with a fun, smooth fruitiness. Without a doubt, cantaloupe is the star of BaHaMas, but it's a very tamed cantaloupe note. There is a creamy accord that gives off a vague vanilla facet. There's also an inkling of citrus but thankfully BaHaMas is not a citrus centered fragrance. Something keeps the fragrances from smelling juvenile or like a pop star perfume - possibly the salt and oakmoss notes? Something is creating a fresh, green cucumber note, because there is something obviously "green" about this fragrance. It's not bitter or herbal... this greenness compliments creamy fruitiness. It's easily unisex, so a man can comfortable wear this. Even with the sugar note, this fragrance does not feel hyper feminine. Yes, it is sweet, but not a screechy sweet or juvenile sweet. Something about BaHaMas feels familiar - like I've smelled it before. It is very fruity, fun, a bit fresh, and very outgoing... but it's not like others I've tested. The only thing that comes to mind is iconic Cucumber Melon from Bath & BodyWorks. BaHaMas in no way, whatsoever, smells like Le Sel d'Issey. It's almost embarrassing to see that comparison and is why I waited so long before buying BaHaMas. Le Sel is a fragrance concept of salty seawater-scented kitchen-cleaner presented as a fragrance. I don't think Le Sel is bad, but it's not my thing at all. Maison Margiela's Sailing Day does the concept of Le Sel a lot better.

This one definitely sits on the unisex side for me. Let me be honest from the start: when I first opened it, it smelled like egg.🥚 Like... actual egg. I almost threw it away ... But I gave it a chance , and I’m glad I did❤️ After letting it sit and rest for a bit, the scent completely changed. What came out after that was a salty melon fragrance, very marine, beachy, ocean-air vibes. It’s not sweet at all. This is a salty, sunscreen-like, beach scent, and when I say salty, I mean SALTY. Yes, it smells like melon, but in a sun-screened, coastal way, not a juicy fruit way. Very summer, very beach day. Does it last? Yes... if you spray like me. I need around 15 sprays to get solid performance. At that level, it lasts about 6 hours, and then it slowly turns into a salty skin scent. It doesn’t fully disappear, but the projection calms down a lot. Would I repurchase it? Honestly, no. Not because it’s bad , it’s actually a great buy for the price , but I’m that person who loves an explosion of scent when I walk into a room... And this one doesn’t keep that loud energy for long enough for me. Still, once it settles, it’s a really nice sunscreen-meets-salty-melon type of fragrance. Price: 10/10 Originality: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Moral of the story: let it rest... and don’t judge it fresh out of the box.

I finally went back to go smell Armaf Odyssey BA HA MAS again and it has significantly improved from my last trip. The scent is still an excellent beach-y vacation-y type, but now with much better performance. I don't know what the oil concentration is, but it clearly left a sheen on my hand where I sprayed it and took a few washes to get it completely off of my skin. I was able to detect it projecting for about 2 hours (I may have gone nose-blind to it) and it lasted somewhere in the ballpark of 8-9 hours. The scent profile mostly consists of the melon, aquatic notes, a little salt, and what I'm guessing is algae? It didn't change much throughout the day but what is there is great. I think this fragrance is worth a pick-up, especially at its current price point (I found it at around $33).

First of all, Gtirado1980's review is by Armaf themselves for advertisement. Now for my honest review, I happened to get this during October so I cannot appreciate it right now since the weather is cold. I am pretty sure I will like it more in the summer which is the reason I got it anyway. It smells familiar but I feel like something is missing from the tropical vibe, like a banana or mango note to make it louder and sweeter. Personally I don't find the scent to be anything crazy, it is good though, I won't know the reception from other people since I won't be wearing it until summer. Lasts around 4-5 hours which is expected from a summer fragrance. Smells a little synthetic like all the Odysseys so far. I will let it macerate and let it out again in the summer.

This is like a giant sugar cube served with a side of fruit salad on a tropical beach. A different summer daytime freshie with a distinct lack of citrus. It is fairly unisex but i find the salt/algae/oakmoss notes and the dry down give it a slight masculine edge. It still might be too sweet and immature for some but once the fresh fruity opening passes it’s a dry sweetness just like a woody musky sugar cube. Moderate performer but good for hot weather. Suggested deodorant: Lynx Excite

I wouldn't call this a clone of le sel d'issey i'd say it's a fresher twist on the dna. It's basically a less salty, less woody, and less heavy Le sel d'issey, but with a strong melon note that lasts from the drydown till the end. My skin prefers this over the issey miyake because salt is the only note that i get on my skin on the og. 7/10, forgot to mention, i can see a woman easily pulling off a scent like this, but i do find it a tad bit male leaning.

Really, really good. I feel like this lasts forever. It really does remind me of Le Sel a lot. However, while I don't have that fragrance in front of me, I do remember it being a little more multidimensional and almost having a deeper/woodier aspect to it, which I really loved. That being said, this is an insanely good fragrance for the price, albeit some could good argue it's a little simple. It's really good though and probably a safe blind buy

I find it annoying when a fragrance smells extremely familiar yet I cannot pinpoint it. This is fruity, sweet and tropical. Some salt is definitely there. The blend is quite smooth. No plasticky note even when sniffing up close. Definitely good, unless you don't like this DNA. I will update this if I remember what scent it is similar with.

Calm fragrance. Not really a dupe of Le Sel D'Issey. This one isn't that salty. It has a lot of melon and the marine notes are pretty much layers beneath that sweet melon smell. A weird one, a lot better for going to the beach and things you couldn't do with other type of fresh fragrances, like fresh-woody. Pretty nice! 7.8/10.

Seems like the fruit sweetness exaggerates the algae/salt notes but not in a pleasant way.. too strong and polarising, an interesting combo though. It is not fresh or woody. Juvenile and unisex. Not a clone to Le Sel for God's sake! It is closer to Zodiac Solmaris. Performance and sillage are the pros.

Honestly feels redundant if you have odyssey aqua. They are by no means the same but they both try to fit into a fruitier freshy realm. This is by far fruitier but less versatile than odyssey aqua.

I don't know why but it smells like the red starburst. I do like it though Edit: also, just realized this is a fruity version of Paris Corner Zodiac Solmaris

Super tropical scent. Very sweet with juicy fruits. I mainly get mango and melon. Blind buy safe, but it's hard for me to find occasions to wear this.

#1555 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Unexpectedly this is not a clone of a popular fragrance, or at least none I'm familiar with. Doesn't match up with anything I own or have tried out. If you were hoping for something beachy because of the name, prepare for disappointment. Nothing really tropical going on here. For me the king of beach wear would be a tossup between JPG's "Le Beau" and Tom Ford's "Costa Azzura." No resemblance here to any of the tropical scents. Kinda like they cross-bred Zarkoperfume's "Youth" and Maison Margiela's "Sailing Day", but less feminine. The overall fruitiness is led by unripened green apple, water lily and frankincense. It's different. Leans a bit sour like Issey Miyake "Eau d'Issey Pour Homme." Not something I would use except as summertime day wear, if that. The quality is acceptable, which I haven't found that often with Armaf "Odyssey" scents. I doubt anyone will find this ether offensive or attractive. It's not pricey, so if like me you blind buy it and don't care for it, it's not a tragedy. But if you're looking for something reasonably priced that screams "Tropical Island Beach" check out Khadlaj "Island" (not "Island Dreams" which has zero character), or Rayhaan "Tropical Vibe". Really interesting and promising mineral salt-citrus open that is then almost completely overpowered by melon. A sale rack blind buy that I can pan, but am unlikely to buy again. It's not terribly melon-y, it's sheer like Guerlain Flora Slavaggia, but melon just doesn't happen to be a note I enjoy - it always reminds me of cheap tween girl body sprays from the noughties. This is specifically a daytime, hot weather fragrance.

I can’t put my finger on it but it reminds me of some nostalgic candy I used to eat, but that being said it just seems very candyish in the fruit notes. People like it when they smell it but I also sprayed about 9 sprays and it was gone in 5 hours. Not even skin scent

Love the Odyssey line but these new ones are a miss. This one is a synthetic tropical summer scent. Smells cheap and unoriginal, it's also kinda cloying. Very disappointed, the Odyssey line used to be pretty much all hits. This and Go Mango are boring at best.

it smells like STRONG salty melon, it smells more manly to me, specially after the melon fades away a bit. It's too strong for me and it lasted a lot on my skin, if you like melony scents youll love it, but i did not.

I was a bit scared off by some of the reviews, but I found a good deal on a bottle and upon smelling it, I should have bought it earlier. It's a great fresh, juicy, salty and fruity fragrance. The melon note is quite realistic and does not come across very dense -- it smells like a ripe cantaloupe lying on a fruit platter in the sun. The opening is wonderful. The mid is not the most pleasant -- once the sweetness of the opening fades, there is some note that smells off that does not really mix with the remnants of the fruity notes -- maybe the algae accord? Overall, this scent is very reminiscent of 'Zodiac Solmaris' by Paris Corner, but that one has more ginger and feels a bit more fresh and salty. Of course, there is a healthy dose of ambroxan here, which is boosting the performance and providing a solid base for the fragrance. I recommend it if you like fresh, fruity and blue fragrances.

That’s why I blind buy a lot of my fragrances. If I left it up to a lot of the opinion of others, I’d have one cologne and would never have experienced what I consider quality fragrances. This one is definitely a keeper. It’s screens Bahamas or somewhere tropical vacationing. The blast of melons in top are very refreshing to say the least. The opening is sort of reminiscent of Polo Blue edt. The sweetness of the plum assists with the transition of the salty aquatic notes into the mid. Then the frankincense blended with the musky woody dry down, beautiful. To call this fragrance linear or boring would be an understatement. You can literally point out every note as it transforms. I am a 41 yr old Female. I have a large perfume collection and enjoy Many kinds of scents. This is definitely unisex and in my opinion only because of how sweet it is leans femenine to me but younger men or just men general could wear this. It does remind me of some kind of candy but surprisingly not juvenile. I was scared of the alage and oakmoss notes but I barely detect them individually or pronounced at all.. Its well blended and will now be in permanent rotation in my summer collection. I also think the longevity and projection is on point. Im very pleased with this one!

This was a blind buy. Soon as I saw it pop up I bought it. Very impressed by this fragrance. It has a soft yet prominent cantaloupe/melon opening. Then you get hit by that salty/aquatic accord. After a few hours you’re left with a sweet and musky, but still salty skin scent. I don’t get why everybody is saying it’s more male - it’s very unisex. Projection is pretty good but the longevity seems to be a tad bit on the weaker side. It’s somewhat of a safe blind buy. If you like fruity aquatics or fruity freshies go for it. If you can snag it for under 30€, even better. [7.6/10]

To me this is a very deep musky melon smell. Its giving mysterious females vibes, but still very wearable for someone like myself that is in love with the Aventus DNA. To clarify, this smells nothing like that, other than it gives a pineapple and musky vibe that slightly reminds me of it. I own a lot of fragrances and I think this is such a unique twist on a tropical fruity fragrance. I go back and forth loving then thinking it's a little odd. But ultimately I can't stop smelling myself when I wear it so it tickles a part of my brain that most others don't.

En la salida es bastante frutal con ese toque saladito que le da frescura y la nota de algas que le da una pequeña sensación a mar. Es como un gel de baño frutal pero de buena calidad. A los 40 minutos se vuelve marino y un poquito más serio, no tan juvenil como al principio, lo que lo hace rico y no tan lineal. Lo dejé macerar por un mes y la proyección y duración fueron potenciadas. Pasó a darme una duración de 7 horas aproximadamente y una estela buena la 2 primeras horas, luego se reduce a algo más personal sin perderse. Puntuación: 8/10

I tried this yesterday. I have Le Sel, and I use it frequently, but it smells nothing like it. The smell is joyful and fruity. The cap has a banana icon on teh top, and frankly, yes, it smells like banana candy, but then it fades into melon. I would wear it to get the tropical summer vibes. I am not a guy who loves overly sweet fruity men's perfumes, but this is safe for men as an unisex fragrance. I smelled Erba gold and Kirkè yesterday as well. They are way more feminine than this one. I will surely buy it.

Its defo aquatic, fruity, same route as erba pura but more aquatic, this reminded me of creed millesime imperial straight away, id say it could 100% be a dupe of that with a twist from the melon note...its very fun and uplifting, its for like a day at the beach or pool, or a summer vacation in Greece or Italy, I u like millesime imperial or cdn milestone, get this

I don't believe this has been released yet but MY GOODNESS that bottle screams Tropical! It even has oakmoss in which is up my street. I hope it's got a salty quality or something sea like, however I've asked a few people who have got their hands on this and they say it's not like Megamare it's more tropical so I await eagerly 😅🏝️🤝 🫰

Too heavy on the "salty cantaloupe" accord. In my opinion, there are not many good fragrances in the Odyssey collection. They either do not smell good or have weak performance. This is not an exception. Sickeningly synthetic unripe cantaloupe. Would not recommend.

Redzi206 stated "lt smells like Cat Vomit". Well it seems he/she has an interesting lifestyle. Who knows what Cat Vomit smells like. Odd behaviour to say the least🤔, does and body know what cat vomit smells like?
