Ombre Fresh

I ordered this directly from the Armaf website and I’m looking forward to seeing how it matures. Note on the atomizer- the bottle design is nice, however the atomizer often sprays some cologne onto the top of the bottle. I have to wipe the silver off after spraying. This scent is simply incredible. The orange and vanilla work together to create a very fruity first impression. It’s fruity in a “juicy” type of way, but the more it dries down, the more it exposes the woods and cardamom to reveal a tonka-esque scent with lingering spice. Compared to the usual harsh openings, it’s very smooth, almost too smooth in a way that’s similar to incense. If you smell it close to your nose or overspray, it can be overpowering. This is a spring/fall fragrance. You can potentially wear this in the summer, depending on the occasion and temperature, but it might be too heavy for crowded/busy environments. It starts off as a very casual sweet type of freshness, and shifts into a more rich smoky(to me) fruit as time goes on. The orange lingers, but eventually mixes with the lavender and woods to become more elegant. This seems like a 25+ fragrance. The vanilla and spice really shine here. Long lasting with good projection, but the richness of the scent can cause the sillage to be overwhelming if indoors/stationary.
