First time wearing this in the wild yesterday and was very pleased with this fragrance. Very good apple and lavender at first spray. As it drys down, I get more guaiac wood, vanilla, and amber. The guaiac wood and amber does a very good job of keeping this balanced. This smells like the color of the box, dark blue and smooth. Some people reported this Vicks vapor vibe and this one flirts with that, but never crosses that line. However, when smelt from a distance, no Vicks and this extremely pleasant. I guess the Vicks is an idiosyncrasy for Layton similar to the tar accord in Mugler A-Men, which is incredible btw. The longevity isn't a problem with this one. Sprayed at 6am; closer to skin at 2pm, skin scent until I washed it off late that night. Projection is great the first 1.5 to 2 hours, then pulls back within elbow length for the majority of the way. I'm going to be very interested in how this progresses as I (attempt) to sit it for a couple of weeks. Curious to find out if this gets stronger, if there's more depth, if other notes I missed the first time start to reveal themselves. Right now, this can be easily worn in Spring, Fall, and Winter...not bullish on the Summer though. I can see this being worn in a lot of situations as this is a versatile fragrance. So, date night, lounging around, hanging out socially, office...I would pick something else if I was dressing formally though. I want to wear this a few more times before giving a rating system, though nothing is less than a 9 right now. Sidenote; if this had oud or leather in it, I would have to buy several backup bottles. One of those two notes would make a damn good fragrance, perfect for me. Enjoy folks!

So, yesterday was the first wearing this after sitting about about 2 months. This one is good, sneaky longevity. I had no problem smelling this the first 6 hours, after that I'm assuming I went noseblind because at hour 9, I got a compliment from about 4 to 5 feet away. To my nose, the most prominent notes were apple, cardamom, and vanilla. Dark blue, sweet, spicy, and woody accords. Now, whether or not this smells like Layton, I'll let others argue that as I've never smelled that fragrance. But this is good at what it does. Projection: 8 Longevity: 9 Scent: 10 Price: 9 Overall: 9

I have the original PDM layton and layton exclusiv in decant and bought this one yesterday, tried both of them on each arm. its 80% similar to the normal Layton but less the vick vaporub smell. the candy apple and cinnamon was present when dried down. after an hour it leaves a subtle vainilla smell. its an awesome fragance for the price i bought (55 usd) . since its a new batch it needs to macerate for longer duration. i hope armaf make the layton exclusiv clone since is my favorite pdm fragance

Don't sleep on this cologne and the whole Armaf Lion's Club is new high quality and performance!! This lasts for around 8-10 hrs it smells 90% close to Layton I tried both hand by hand one a decant and this bottle can't tell a difference if anyhting the PDM line aroma is more mature, this is more juvenile but thing still slaps, don't sleep on the new armaf releases they're coming up with better quality and projection !

smells like layton, nothing more needs to be said. opening is more vanilla then layton imo, with maybe more vanilla all around in the drydown aswell. very good

have them side by side now, opening is only ~80% similar imo, but the dry down is at least 90% there, less prominent apple i would say

Most of the clones get similar to the real thing in the dry down, but this fragrance is opposite, it start of similar to layton, like fresher and more powdery Layton, and it turns to a totally different thing in the dry down. It's not a good option if you are looking for a dupe of layton. And it's not a good option overall cause it doesn't perform well like you would expect from an armaf fragrance.

Can't wait the temperature to get cooler where I live. In the shop , with A/C it was great. Of course once outside, with 30 degrees the fragrance is too strong. I didn't look for a clone of anything, just tested on paper first and on skin after and got it, for 35 euro..I will test again Layton just out of curiosity, but honestly, the fragrance itself, at the price, it's a bargain.

I bought a bottle this December in Dubai. At first, it was just Layton, But now, a few months later... it’s turned into Vanilla Layton The scent has evolved — richer, stronger, and the vanilla hits you right from the start.

The main thing about this line of Armaf is that they’re more like twists or inspired by, and not exact clones of the original PDM fragrances. Unfortunately there are way too many “fragrance experts” here on fragrantika claiming the clone they just bought is 90% identical to the og, without ever sniffing the og. That kind of misinformation just misleads actual buyers. Rugir is honestly a good fragrance imo. It smells fresh, high quality and very long lasting and you can rock it all year round. It has that Layton Dna with a tiny sprinkle of that vicks vaporub in the opening, but the similarity becomes less as it develops on your skin. I still think Layton fans will find this a solid, fresher alternative for everyday use. But if you’re looking for a 1:1 clone, you better skip this one. Performance wise, after 2.5 months of maturation, its been great. Last time i used it i could still detect a faint trace of it on my skin 15 hours later.

This smells very close to Layton at the start. The apple is prominent at the beginning but then fizzles into nothing. Projection and longevity is slightly below average

Starts kinda like Layton and dry downs to some orange-y kind of smell similar to Paco Rabanne UltraRed. Bad.

Much freshier opening than OG and the drydown are similar, great perfomance.

Got it yesterday, i had high hopes because i love layton but it actually stinks. Doesn't remind me anything of Layton, smells really vanillic and feminine for some reason. Shouldn't have blind bought it but ima let it macerate for a couple months hopefully it would get much better cause now it is unwearable. The presentation was really nice, 10,000 better then layton but the magnetic strap which is supposed to cover the top of the fragrance is actually so annoying, it is coming in the way when i am trying to spray, might either cut it off or glue it to the back of the bottle. The worst thing about it tho is that i got an atomizer that doesn't spray, it is barely even squirting. So because the fragrance can't spray i wanted to get some of the juice out to a decant bottle but when you take the cap of and try to put the syringe you will see that it is impossible to try taking the juice out, like they made the part of getting the juice out too wide. So i will come back in like two months to give a second review for this fragrance, for now i can't recognise any layton DNA. 4/10

in 2 more weeks i will make a second review after the fragrance has been macerating for 3 months. (process started on 27/5 - second time smellling - 27/8. this review will be for all these people wondering if it is going to be better after maceration, cause last time i smelt it, it was NOTHING LIKE LAYTON)

12/2024 batch: Tarakantain below is spot on. THIS IS NOT LAYTON. I have no idea wtf people r thinking saying this is layton. Maybe it needs to macerate, but even detour noir was FAR closer to layton immediately after opening..... This is just vanilla... with slight layton notes for 5 mins on spraying.... absolutely horrendous clone. I will update, but AVOID IF U WANT A LAYTON CLONE. As is, this is my 2nd worst purchase. Only behind dua's new almond vanilla. 3/10 is being generous for this. as a layton clone 0/10... 2nd wear: Significantly more layton like, but still extremely weak. Gives me hope for maceration, but for the price go detour or exclusif bleu Final wear (weeks later): this is horrendous. By far the worst layton clone. Detour noir is far better. Do not buy this. The fact influencers push this is proof that they are all just paid to promote.... very sad. Gentscents i trusted u as my final influencer still being truthful, but its obvious hes just a shill now too. 0/10

i'm not sure if i didn't get a bad batch because this thing REEKED. like, it genuinely is the only frag that i ever got a gag reflex from. wasn't similar to Layton at all either, idk. none of the "Vicks" opening, maybe a little bit on the dry down.

Do not trust these reviews saying this is anywhere close to layton. This is a 0/10 frag. Detour noir is better and closer to layton. Zero reason to buy this garbage.

Synthetic apples with a tail end of fake smelling vanilla. Lasts forever and is impossible to scrub off your skin
