Asad Bourbon

FIRST IMPRESSION: Wait, is that yummy fruity scent what they call Mirabelle plum? Wow! This smells amazing in the opening, with that fruity accord of Mirabelle. The cacao isn’t far behind—it’s very prominent. The opening leans heavily toward designer DNA and would probably remind many of several designer scents on the market. If I did a blind test, I’d probably guess this was a release from Paco Rabanne or Carolina Herrera. The vanilla runs the show here with the cacao. The lavender is in the background the whole time. This links it to the original Asad. And, of course, the Nutmeg and Pink Pepper adds the spark to the composition. I absolutely love this one!! To think I was ready to call it overhyped. Lol. Edit: The cacao smell is like an amped up and sweetened version of the vague coffee smell I get from Ch men Africa. They DON'T smell the same at all. They're at most 30-40% similar, but they layer well—Ch men Africa is discontinued, btw. If you're angry that this is sweet or that most of Lattafa's newer releases are sweet, youthful, and boring—or maybe you think this is just another mass appealing scent—how about trying other offerings from Lattafa that smell different, unique and "niche-like"? Lattafa has tons. Start with Maahir Black, then Adeeb, Al Ameed, Hala, Ajwad pink, Art of Nature I, Al Areeq Silver, Raw Human, and then Vintage Castle. Everybody has a genre they really like. And these very mass-appealing scents, or "designer DNA," no matter how many they release or how many tweaks they make, will always be loved and sell well—as long as they smell good.

Lattafa Asad Bourbon is a beautiful, sexy, and dangerously addictive fragrance. It opens with a juicy fruity touch from Mirabelle plum, lifted by pink pepper and lavender, before quickly moving into a warm, delicious heart of cacao, nutmeg, amber, and rich vanilla. The scent feels like a seductive mix of Valentino Born in Roma Intense, Azzaro The Most Wanted, and Stronger With You, but with its own chocolatey vanilla twist. It is sweet, spicy, creamy, and masculine without becoming too childish or overly sugary. The cacao and bourbon vanilla combination gives it a warm gourmand sexiness, almost like dark hot chocolate mixed with smooth vanilla and soft spice. This is the kind of fragrance that smells beautiful in the air and gets attention. It is cozy, attractive, and very mass appealing, but still interesting enough to keep smelling again and again. The dry-down is the best part: creamy vanilla, soft cacao, warm amber, and a slightly aromatic freshness that keeps it balanced. Performance is very good, with strong projection in the first few hours and long-lasting power, especially in cooler weather. It is perfect for evening wear, dates, winter nights, and any time you want to smell warm, confident, and irresistible. For the price, Asad Bourbon is an excellent fragrance and easily one of Lattafa’s best releases. Sexy, delicious, smooth, and highly compliment-worthy. Overall rating: 9/10

I got this in a recent fragrance haul consisting of Lattafa Asad, Armaf Precieux, Anfar Bateig Azul, Anfar Azure Spirit, Jimmy Choo Man Blue, Lattafa His Confession, Boss Bottled Parfum. Despite not being dissatisfied with any of the purchases, I love this one the most. The fragrance opens up and reminds me of Azzaro's The Most Wanted Parfum right away, which I own. After 30 mins or so, I felt it transition into something else I own, Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Intense, which it stayed as for the remainder of its duration. So, Bourbon is basically TMW Parfum in the open, then BiR Intense for the hours-long remainder of the fragrance, leaving a majestic vanilla trace at its end. Because I also own Asad and Zanzibar, I can say that Bourbon is the best of the line and I loved this one just as much as my original Valentino. For the price I paid (£18), I feel this is extreme bargain territory and with the leaps and bounds that fragrance houses like Lattafa are making, they are making top-quality fragrances affordable at very modest prices. Lattafa Asad Bourbon is a winner!

This is a very easy to like vanilla scent, and it’s my signature for fall and winter. It’s nice warm and a bit cozy but fresh enough to be versatile and mass appealing for school and office environments. I don’t have a ton of vanilla in my collection yet, but I got so many compliments on this and I wear this almost every day during the colder season. I woulden't call this a dupe of anything, even though it’s trying to blend Born in Roma and Azzaro the most wanted EDP, but I prefer this over both of those. It’s opening is harsh but it quickly cools down to a sweet inviting pleasantness. This is an easy reach for me and even though I like other fragrances more, this has become sort of synonymous with my identity because of how much I find myself wearing it. I love this stuff so much. It’s refined, easy, smooth, and easy to love. Projection and longevity for me is amazing too. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 8-10 hours Projection: 8/10

Sinceramente, o Asad Bound me surpreendeu demais. Eu já esperava algo bom, mas ele entrega bem mais do que o preço sugere. É um perfume marcante, encorpado e elegante, daqueles que chegam junto e deixam rastro. A abertura é intensa, quente e envolvente, com uma pegada doce bem equilibrada — nada enjoativa. Conforme vai secando, ele fica mais sofisticado, com um fundo amadeirado e especiado que passa sensação de perfume caro, bem construído. Não tem aquele cheiro artificial ou raso que alguns perfumes nessa faixa costumam ter. A fixação é excelente, segura fácil por horas na pele, e a projeção é forte, principalmente nas primeiras horas. É perfume pra noite, frio, eventos, balada ou quando você quer se destacar. Não é discreto — é presença. Pra quem gosta de perfumes quentes, modernos e com personalidade, o Asad Bound entrega tudo. Pra mim, virou um dos favoritos fácil.
