Sauville Pour Homme

I purchased Armaf Sauville completely blind having not heard anything about it. It's not bad. Upon initial spray it smells a lot like Versace Pour Homme. Quite fresh. After about 15 minutes it shifts and Dior Sauvage starts to emerge. For the rest of the life of this it starts to resemble Sauvage more and more but a little lighter in feel. Performance is average I'd say. It's nice but had I known it resembled Sauvage so much in the drydown I probably wouldn't have purchased because I already have others like Armaf Pride.

Smells like Versace Pour Homme more, NOT Sauvage. Those who say it is sauvage can just donate their noses because they are useless. It is less fresh and artificial than Versace and lighter. Fresh Ambroxan Blue fragrance. Nothing special. 7.3/10.

I have a 50 bottles of fragrance in my collection. This one is in my top five poorest longevity.

Review below me is spot on....starts off similar to Versace Pour Homme...then quickly shifts to a less peppery Dior Sauvage. I actually find this to be similar to Zara Home Cuir Velvet in terms of clone comparisons go. Actually did an in-depth review of this on my YT Channel (The Scentrovert)... Redundant release from Armaf; to me, Armaf Hunter Intense & The Pride of Armaf rank higher.

Armaf Sauville Men EDP opens with a strong projection of slightly sweet, citrus, spicy, and ambroxan notes. The opening is intense, aromatic, sour, fresh, and pleasant. The lemon the only citrus note, very noticeable; by its side is the mint which adds a cooling green and slightly spicy note; the pepper and sage are also very noticeable, a spicy touch that enhances and sharpens the notes. The ambroxan is a base note, but it comes up as soon as the fragrance is applied; initially, it has a sharp touch but as it develops, it becomes projecting dry, ambery, powdery, and musky. The vetiver and patchouli add a very fresh and green touch, but subtle; the labdanum is the least noticeable note. The fragrance has a couple of noticeable changes, the citrus and mint are very sharp during the opening but as the fragrance commences to dry-down, their intensity takes one step down, also, the ambroxan smooths out this sharpness shifting the projection of the fragrance from citrus to powdery and musky, also overall, the fragrance loses some intensity, taking one step down from strong to moderate. Once Armaf Sauville Men EDP has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, musky (ambroxan), citrus (lemon), and spicy (pepper) fragrance with very soft floral, woody and green accords. The fragrance feels casual, intensive, masculine, modern, musky/ambroxan, playful, powdery, refreshing, simple, sour, synthetic, versatile, white, zesty, and pleasant. BATCH REVIEWED: 2020 (#256295). WOW RATING: 7/10. Good citrus, ambroxan, and spicy fragrance. DISLIKE RATING: 2/10. The ambroxan is a noticeable note. UNIQUENESS: 3/10. The notes and resulting scent are common. MASS APPEAL: 9/10. This is a fragrance that most people will enjoy. PROJECTION: 4/10. Moderate, about 4 feet around the wearer. SILLAGE: 4/10. Moderate, about 4 feet behind the wearer. APPLICATION: 4 to 6 atomizations. LONGEVITY: 3/10. Low, about 3 hours. The fragrance projects well for 3 hours but then it fades fast. SEASONS: Spring, summer. OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, gym, office, business, casual, vacations, clubbing. This is an office-friendly fragrance. VERSATILITY: 6/10. Very good warm weather. GENDER: Masculine, the spicy accords lean it to the masculine side. AGES: Any. RECOMMENDATION: Armaf Sauville Men EDP is a great warm-weather fragrance for a convenient cost. However, the scent will come across as very familiar. It has significant similarities with other fragrances in the same genre. BLIND-BUY: Yes, but only if you are familiar with its main notes. Armaf Hunter Intense is a great mildly sweet, citrus and clean must fragrance with spicy and green accords fragrance; Bleu de Chanel EDP contains pepper, fruity and woody accords, and versatile and great fragrance; Dior Sauvage EDT is great sharp citrus, spicy, amber, woody, and musky fragrance; Ferragamo F Pour Homme Black Men EDT is a peppery fragrance but its performance is poor; Franck Olivier Sun Java Men EDT is a very affordable fragrance that features spicy and woody notes; Montale Chypre Fruite is a pleasant and fresh, powdery, fruity, citrus, and white floral fragrance; Prada Luna Rossa Carbon is a fantastic, bergamot and peppery fragrance, metallic, earthy, and powdery; Ralph Laurent Polo Ultra Blue is great lemon verbena, basil, and white musk fragrance; Tiziana Terenzi Casanova is a good powdery, and clean musk fragrance with soft woody and spicy accords; Versace Dylan Blue is a great mildly sweet, citrusy, and green fragrance with some fruity, musky, powdery, and spicy accords; Versace Eros is an outstanding mint, apple, ambroxan, and woody fragrance; Armaf Sauville Men EDP is a very good musky ambroxan, lemon, and spicy peppery fragrance. SUMMARY: A moderate projection, musky (ambroxan), citrus (lemon), and spicy (pepper) fragrance with very soft floral, woody, and green accords. The fragrance feels casual, intensive, masculine, modern, musky/ambroxan, playful, powdery, refreshing, simple, sour, synthetic, versatile, white, zesty and pleasant.
