The Pride of Armaf For Men

This is the first "House of Armaf" fragrance I have come to own. I purchased it on Amazon (before I knew about Foreverlux.com) this past July and it's simply amazing! It smells fruity and spicy when you first spray it...then after about 30 minutes it settles down to this warm and fuzzy kinda vanilla spice peachy scent that I just looooove. This one, I've never gotten any mention from anyone else that they can smell it or like the way it smells...but I LOVE the way this one smells so much I don't care. As long as I can smell it on me in my little scent-bubble of heaven...I'm good! :D I have to spray it on me at least 3 times on my chest to get it to stay smell-able for more than 4 hours. I don't know if I'm doing it right, but it's working for me. I think I may spray it twice on my chest, then once on my wrists and sides of my neck...might be overkill...will have to test it out and see if I don't make my eyes water...lol. It doesn't seem to last as long as my other Armaf cologne, CDNIM, but it's very nice. I think that I will wear this one in the winter and spring, and CDNIM for the summer and fall...yeah, that will work. Awesome box that it comes in...little velvet lined sarcophagus thing...using it to store my other items. :) Lets see...production info... This to me smells more like Sauvage EdP rather than the EdT. It doesn't have the pepper notes that Sauvage EdT has and is smother with added vanilla in the background. For the price you can't go wrong with this fragrance if you like Sauvage style fragrances...which i do. I agree with reviewers who say that this fragrance does improve in strength, longevity and silage as it ages. I bought this last summer and it does seem stronger this summer than i remember it being last summer. Having said that, i would rate the longevity and silage as moderate, although i find this increases slightly if also sprayed on clothes. However, i think i paid just over £20 for 100ml, so it won't break the bank if you keep topping up the fragrance throughout the day. Armaf do have some weird and strange bottles in their range, but this bottle i think looks great and feels solid and heavy. The box it comes in is very nice too. My only slight gripe is that the sprayer does tend to leak a little bit. I tend to wear this for work and general knocking about; it won't offend anyone (unless they hate the Sauvage range) and you know you'll be smelling nice. I wear Sauvage in the evening when i'm out socially with family and friends (i can't justify to myself paying Sauvage prices for work fragrances).

I've been eyeballing Sauvage EDP for months, carefully watching prices, trying not to get mixed up ordering the Parfum instead of EDP version and I just can't justify buying it now. I have 3 dupes that all smell very similar to the various versions of Sauvage and these dupes all have their own unique qualities while doing a good job mimicking the expensive brand. Pride of Armaf is the closest of my 3 to being almost Indistinguishable between the formulations unless you're a connoisseur or an expert perfumiere. The scent profile is nearly identical with only nuances of different ingredients shining through over others. This one has a mossy accent instead of balsamic, more vanilla instead of amber, a tiny bit spicier and a little less woody. It's close enough that I will not be buying Sauvage EDP any time soon. Armaf's: Ventana is more woody, herbal and floral, not as sweet. Art Du'Parfum is sweeter, less spicy, more cedar forward. 9.5/10 Can't tell the difference enough to care. Will wear often.

What a fantastic scent at an unbelievably low price. This reminds me of Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. Spicy citrus up front and on the dry down its a nice, creamy, a little spicy vanilla, tonka beanish scent. I get easily 6 hours out of this. You would think you are wearing a $100 scent. So happy this is part of my collection. Worthy of a blind buy (just as I did). Buy with confidence. Can't go wrong for a total of $32 w/delivery. 04/24/2024 Update: After smelling Dior Sauvage quite a few times, this is a dead ringer for it. If you're a fan of DS then you should pick this up. It's an excellent scent. Perfect for warmer weather but can be worn all year round, day & night.

Honestly not sure how The Pride flies under the radar compared to other major Sauvage clones. I bought it before I had ever smelled Sauvage, and had to ask someone what they were wearing when I smelled something familiar: indeed, they had the "real thing" on (which they were very proud of). It's good. Decently powerful, and it stays a while. I know Sauvage is viewed largely as a summer scent, but I like The Pride as a cool-weather casual fragrance myself. If I recall, my wife told me I smelled like a teenager trying hard when I first wore it and asked her her impression... A similar response to the one she gave to CDNIM. Oh well.

This is more akin to almost a Luna Rossa Carbon EDP imagination more than any Sauvage, its honestly amazing and I find myself grabbing it more often than not, it doesn't try to do anything crazy and yet nails everything fairly well. Drydown is like a lemon fig cookie with a hint of pepper. If you want more of the Sauvage appeal, you can always layer with ambroxan, but it does mighty fine on its own. Definitely a recommend, and after owning all forms of comparable Sauvage, I enjoy wearing this more than them. (EDT,EDP,Parfum...Elixir is it's own beast)

It does smell quite similar to Sauvage, with that being said I think it has its own sorta scent going on in the dry down. It’s a very nice sweet scent, perfect for spring and summer. I enjoy it very much, performance is good too (nothing spectacular) and lasts about 5-6 hours with normal projection. I do tend to overspray it because it smells quite nice. Overall I’d give this a 8/10 because I enjoy wearing it

Certified value banger, id only call it in the family of dior but not a clone. probably 70-80% but this one could stand alone. However this smells more like dior than dior does to itself. if you didnt know the prices and names and sprayed each, you would prefer this one. Great performance, not cheap synthetic, very versatile and masculine with a perfect tiny touch of vanilla.

if you can imagine Club de Nuit Intense on trenbolone, that would be The Pride of Armaf, with dry ambroxan, vanilla and bitter grass- without ISO E Super nor pineapple which CdNI has. One notice, Armaf Pride works only on my clothes, for some reason doesn't last or smell nearly as strong on skin. However, I can't care less as it's great just the way it is.

This is definitely Sauvage Eau de Parfum. It's a smoother and creamier version to Armaf Ventanna. Pride of Armaf also lasts a lot longer and isn't as harsh with the citruses. This is the best clone of Sauvage edp in my opinion. The more I wear sauvage and its clones/dupes, the more I realize that women can pull this scent off as well.

Definitely very Sauvage-like. Don't know if Ventana is a better clone or not as I haven't smelled it. It's similarity (or lack thereof) to Sauvage is secondary. It is a great smelling, relatively inexpensive scent with good longevity and sillage. It can work in casual and more formal occasions. A people pleaser at a great price.

The same DNA as sauvage edt but with a twist. I love it but on my skin it doesn't last long. Around 6 hours and doesn't projects well. For a cheap dupe of sauvage, it's fairly good, especially it has some twist that goes slighty different than sauvage edt. Solid choice and blind buy safe if you like sauvage edt.

This one has made me not wearing for a long time neither the edt or the edp. This stands among this two making owning both of them redundant as the combination of both of edt and edp is better than each one as a stand alone fragrance and if you also put the price factor in the equation this is an amazing pick

I am really astonished by this. A real pride for the house. A creamier version of sauvage, which I prefer more, you will fill the room with this and people will talk about u after u left. I spray it on morning and my wife gets overwhelmed at night. My favorite number one signature scent for the time being.

This is not a fully accurate clone but it's in the same vein and it actually does have some unique positives like the lemon and the cinnamon/nutmeg. I'd say this is better on its own terms than it is at cloning Sauvage Couldn't pass for Sauvage but it could pass for being a Sauvage flanker

Smells like a mix of DS EDT & DS EDP to me, minus some of the sharper Ambroxan notes. Smells closer to DS than Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. Better than Armaf Ventana and Ajmal Kuro to me, but I'm biased towards DS EDP. Overall an excellent DS clone.

I like Dior Savuage Edt, especially after it dries down. This is better. If you have a male friend or cousin who is not into fragnances and your not sure as well. Get them this if they are 15, 25 or ever 35 and above. Truly mazing value.

Beautiful juice! Compared it to Sauvage sample, smells very similar. Apart from that, this is my go to juice for office as well as dates. My girl loves it. definately a signature worthy in affordable budget. Scent - 8/10 Longevity - 7/10

I carry it in my bag. After 3-4 hour i spray it repeatedly. When i started to use it was not something special but after 7-10 days i loved it. It's very addictive. Smell: 9/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 6/10 Price: 5/10

Blind by worthy. Opening a little harsh may be for citrus but after 10 min its good. Gives a gentleman vive with background sexy tone :) It would perform more good specially projection. Overall 7.5/10

Smells just like Sauvage. Fresh out of the shower scent. Way smoother than Sauvage as well. It’s a slap in the face in terms of strength instead of a punch in the face like Sauvage is.

I own Sauvage, Ventana, and Pride Armaf. Honestly, Ventana is more similar to Sauvage, but I prefer the scent of Pride; it has a clearer and more intense fragrance than Ventana.

Best Dior Sauvage clone. More Dior Sauvage than Dior Sauvage at times. Very high quality, well blended, and even has a good opening. Safe blind buy.

Really nice sporty scent. This is my go to when I don't know what to wear. The atomizer in my bottle is awful but might be a production defect?

Same vibe with sauvage. This is beast if you spray in your cotton tshirt.

Now that I've had a few more months to test it out, the longevity is actually impressive, but it's closer to Luna Rossa Carbon IMO. Unfortunately, on skin, it's not a very good clone either way. The development is from a very pleasant Sauvage-esque bergamot and lemon verbena to a strange synthetic sweet tonka drydown. Absolutely no harsh pepper or ambroxan - the two notes that Sauvage is known for - and a side-by-side confirms the differences. TPOA is significantly sweeter and smoother albeit far weaker in performance. If the cap wasn't so difficult to take off (and the sprayer didn't click) I'd give the bottle a very good score. Feels great in the hand. Unfortunately, the scent really doesn't measure up as a clone. On it's own, it's definitely decent, but I have to say that the sweetness really gets to me sometimes, almost as if I'm smelling a spiced blackberry jelly. Mildly cloying in the heat. The truth is, I haven't worn it in a while - and probably won't anymore. Given the affordability and very nice presentation, I could easily recommend this as a gift for a youngster; but for the more distinguished noses out there, you'd likely get bored in a hurry. Moving along... Scent - 7.5/10 Longevity - 7.5/10 Projection - 6/10 Overall - 7/10

Okay, you have to try this on clothes. That way, it becomes more peppery version of sauvage. The note breakdown is all wrong, contrary to the people here saying they smell cinnamon or tonka bean... with humble honesty, I do not sense these notes at all, even after a month of testing. I also do sense the ambroxan that other people suggest is missing. For me the main notes would be: Black pepper, Other peppery notes, Lavander EO, Modern fruity sweet molecules, Ambery notes (ambroxan). Just imagine sauvage with a generous dose of black pepper. (If I spray on clothes) On my skin however, this just turns into sauvage but with huge damp floorcloth note. (The stale smell that I mentioned in the review below) I would say you can use this for every occasion since it's like sauvage, but if you have skin chemistry like me, you can only use this on clothes.

Fantastic cheap alternative to Sauvage EDP. At times I like this more than Sauvage EDP. My girlfriend couldn't tell the difference so I will be rebuying this one instead of spending the money on a new bottle of Sauvage. I get about 6-8 hours on skin. First 2 hours it projects well, after that it's a 1-3 foot cloud of greatness. For the money, this is a must buy if you enjoyed smelling Sauvage EDP in your local stores, but didn't want to cough up the cash for it. Projection: 7/10 Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 6/10 (only weakness in this cologne) Value: 10/10 (a cheap steal to a more expensive people pleaser cologne)

Blind bought this for my boyfriend hearing it smells like Dior Sauvage which he seems to enjoy. I'm very impressed! This does share similarities to Sauvage, I can't distinguish specific notes other than bergamot/lemon with some warm dry down which could be the cinnamon or sandalwood. It lasts a LONG time on him and the sillage is great! He walks by and I don't get an offensive cloud of perfume, overall I highly recommend this to those looking for a cheaper alternative to Sauvage. Or just a cheap fragrance for anyone!! I'll be purchasing from the house of Armaf once more!

A spot on Dior Sauvage clone. Smells almost exactly like Sauvage. I know everyone knows Armaf Ventana to be the Sauvage clone, and I haven't smelled it yet but this is probably the same juice just in a different bottle like Armaf does. Performance is weird. I have gotten 8+ hours longevity before and it filled up a room and projected heavily. But there's also been times like the current and most recent where I get 4 hours longevity and very soft sillage.. it's confusing. I might try Ventana or just get actual Sauvage.

I have batch 335992 and it's identical, maybe even little bit worse than Ventana. It somehow smells stale to me compared to Sauvage or even Ventana :C... I will try to wait couple of weeks as Dipankar Bhaumik said below... maybe the juice needs to settle a bit. Presentation is very nice though. The box looks luxurious. The bottle looks amazing but the cap is bit clunky, and my atomizer is sticking out a bit, it's not a huge deal though. Will review again in couple weeks.

One of Armaf's absolute best, IMO. Granted, that may not be saying much, but I like this one. This is to my nose a less aggressive, somewhat warmer and more rounded take on Sauvage that also layers better, due to it being a bit dialed down on the volume. Overall, I think this is up there with the best Sauvage "clones" out there, all of which I think are actually better than the Sauvage EDT version, which to me is a bit too sharp and bombastic.

This is the best Dior Sauvage clone on the market, for a fraction of the price. Nobody notices any difference to the original. I got 100ml for 15€ + 100ml perfumed body spray. :) It's an offer I couldn't refuse. What else to say, it's just identically the same scent, with amazing performance. Ask someone to blind test your nose with Sauvage and with Armaf, you will struggle to recognize which one is the clone, which one the original...

This is a very close clone of Sauvage, I probably could not tell them apart if I was smelling blind. The strength is not the same though, it requires many more sprays to get the same projection and does not last as long. A good alternative though if you can't spring for Sauvage. Presentation is very nice, especially for an Armaf. It comes in a nice box and the cap actually snaps on securely on this.

Another clone from the house of Armaf... Dior Sauvage but with the sharp edges rounded off. This is a very safe and inoffensive scent that is worthy of a blind buy. However, this does lack in performance but for the price what do you expect. A good alternative to Sauvage if you're on a budget. Smell: 7/10 Price: 9/10 Performance: 5/10 Overall: 6.5/10

A clone of Dior Sauvage EdP, yes, but it is so much better! I've tried both side by side and it is amazing how virtually identical Armaf gets this one to Sauvage, well done! It is not nearly as strong and headache-inducing but it still has a very rich aroma and presence. Buy this instead, it's half the cost and lasts just as long, if not longer!

Glad to see this was finally added. Between Ventana and Pride, this is IMO the superior Sauvage clone from Armaf because it isn't as harsh. It's still missing the Dior performance, but it's a perfectly acceptable clone if you can't afford Sauvage or the zillions of other designer clones. Not much else to say about Pride other than that.

Sauvage EDT with a lovely aromatic citrus opening, settles into a spicy and vanilla-forward tonka delight. A little more than arm's length projection, lasts a little over 8 hrs. Wears beautifully on skin & clothes, can honestly be enjoyed all year round. Best-suited in warm weather, I think the notes shine a little brighter.

Maybe I go nose blind to this scent, but it blasts you initially and has massive sillage. But I feel like 4-5 hours and it's nearly gone. Pretty similar to Sauvage, but much smoother than the EDT. I'd say it's closer to Luna Rossa Carbon with less Lavender. Overall smells great, cheap, can't complain.

A friend blasted Pride of Armaf, with a few sprays of Sauvage EDT on one arm for comparison- he could barely tell the difference and said that he actually preferred the Armaf. Not identical scent profiles, but they share the same DNA ~90%. Came in a really nice box too.

I like this fragrance. The cinnamon is interesting. Doesnt feel like Sauvage at first but moves into that. Ventana might be a better clone. But interesting for sure. Neither of them has the HD sharpness of Sauvage but they smell very similar

Wore this, and my friend immediately asked if me if I was wearing Sauvage. Hahaha I have sauvage too. I use Pride of Armaf for casual days and sauvage for special occasions or events.

Its definitely blue fresh fragrance, Opening smells like grape fruit reminds me of Bvlgari Tygar. Final impression it is 70% sauvage and 30% Tygar to my nose

This is Dior Sauvage EDT but a little bit less annoying and flatter. Wife prefers this one as it is not so much offensive.

Smells almost the same as Sauvage EDP and Gisada Ambassador but not so creamy, strong and dense 7/10

I have had both this and Afnan Modest Une for quite a while and personally I don't think Pride is as good as Modest Une, however, looking at various stores it is cheaper so take that into consideration. Pride lacks the pepper and lavender notes that really make Sauvage stand out and instead emphasizes heavily on the creamy lemon citrus top note to the point that at least to my nose not much else comes through in terms of nutmeg or sandalwood etc until well into the drydown. Personally I much prefer the aforementioned Afnan Modest Une as it gets MUCH closer to the OG and has very prominent lavender and pepper notes while performing a lot better both in projection and longevity, at least on my skin. The presentation is also a bit eh, especially compared to the Afnan which comes in a nicer display box and has a significantly better atomiser (the pride's atomiser is crap). So yeah, as you can probably guess I don't really recommend this one when there's either the Afnan for a little bit more, or Armaf's [Aventus/Sauvage] hybrid, Urban Man Elixir.

IMO....this does NOT smell like Dior Sauvage. This gives me "vibes" only mixture of a touch each of Sauvage...Luna Rossa and Allure Homme Sport. The opening is harsh alcohol/citrusy.....the it changes a bit.....(even for a second,I got Aventus-ish vibe too).....way underneath touches of Sauvage (but without ambroxan.?)....then...basically....more Allure Sport-ish type vibe remains. I will say that the dry down is where my like-ability for this came across. Very mainstream scent....that we have all smelled before. Performance is moderate...so far. I will wear this on a different day and see the results.

This is really like a more tame Versace Eros Flame, Nothing like Sauvage! Armaf Ventana is closer to Sauvage than The Pride and its still far off... Anyways, I blind bought this and right off the bat really liked the box it came in. I dont feel its right for summer, more of a winter or cold weather scent, maybe a summer night if its not too hot because this is a spicy warm scent. You really smell the vanilla, nutmeg, citrus and tonka bean. Great holiday scent. Pretty cheap too. Longevity 7.5/10 Sillage 7/10 Projection 7.5/10 Performance 7.8/10 Price 10/10 Overall 39.8 Grade- A

Smells like a really synthetic version of Sauvage. The vanilla in the base doesn't really do enough to make it all that unique. Performance has never been great on this either, even after leaving it a few months to macerate, lasts a decent while but never projects clearly enough. Presentation is also pretty poor here, the cap isn't secure and the atomiser feels seriously cheap. Not worth it, especially considering there are cheaper Armaf fragrances than this one that are better.

A strong smelling scent with pepper being a large portion. Expected the lemon to be the main star but not what I expected. Smells very much like axe body spray except a little more complicated and alot more strong which brings out the synthetic smell. Overall ok but better buys out there for the same money.
