Ventana Marine

I'm hoping to make this the only review you need, since there's a lot of confusion and misconception around this fragrance. To clear the biggest ones out of the way, this is not a clone of BDC. This is not a clone of Imagination. This is, in a sense, a hybrid of the two. More accurately, it's a BDC-like fragrance constructed with the notes of LV imagination. The end result is more BDC than Imagination, but not trying to directly clone either. The end result of this note fusion is a super clean, affordable, inoffensive, easy to wear pretty much anytime fragrance. It is more laid back and relaxed than BDC thanks to the swapping of incense for tea. The ginger is toned down, but still very pleasant, more like the presentation of Imagination than BDC. The opening is nice light citrusy and ginger fresh, with a light green touch from the petitgrain and cardamom and a mild but natural sweetness coming from what I'm assuming is the orange. This transforms into a clean, soapy-but not as soapy as imagination-middle, with the ginger, florals, and tea mixing well to create something that is not too floral, but fresh and playful. The tea, cinnamon and sandalwood come out more in the mid, creating a base for the fragrance that is neither overly woody or spicy, but balanced by the tea to become slightly sweet in a nice way - not sugary or bubblegummy, but a realistic herbal sweetness. It is a nice, enjoyable, almost relaxing and therapeutic scent overall. This is a perfect casual fragrance. It's great for hanging out, going to the gym, sports, going to work, you name it. If you just wanna smell good around the house without using your more expensive fragrances, this is great for that. Anytime you wanna smell good but don't wanna overpower, this will work. It's not overly formal or professional, but not so relaxed and playful that it becomes inappropriate for the setting. This is a crowd pleasing, safe fragrance that nobody will complain about. It does not blast, it doesn't fill the room, and will not get you noticed by anyone not somewhat close to you. Whether or not that equals boring to you is up to your taste, but DNAs are popular and well known for a reason - because they're good and people like them. So no, this isn't unique in a traditional sense, if that's something you look for. If you like BDC or tea fragrances you will like this, but do not expect this to be a clone. It's not trying to be one to one to anything. In terms of performance, it's okay for the price! You can often find this for under 20 dollars. Upon first open it can tend to be weak, but does improve with time. I would say this is fairly safe to overspray, but this is a scent profile that is not difficult to go noseblind to. So do be aware of that if you do overspray. I wore ten sprays to work and got zero complaints. Safe blind buy if you just want something nice and you're not asking for too much. I'd go as far as saying this is even signature scent worthy if it fits your tastes. Update: I believe this atomizer suffers from the same issues as much of the armaf Odyssey line. It appears to spray at about half the volume of some of my other cheaper bottles. If you like quiet performance, spray normally. But if you want some projection and better longevity, I highly recommend doubling your normal spray count.

Probably the safest blind buy from Armaf you can get these days, reminds me of a few blue scents...a tiny bit of imagination, but it mostly reminds me of a more laid back, white t-shirt, shorts and loafers version of BDC. Doesn't punch you in the face, doesn't wow you or blow your socks off, it's a good reliable scent you can wear every day after you're home from work, or doing errands around, or like that one loyal friend you always talk to over iMessage. Very easily an 8/10, especially with how cheap it is. And this is down to preference but I always liked how the original Ventana bottle looked and it's the same with this one, the whole packaging with the light blue theme and the colorshift box, some niche brands barely give you a thin cardboard box lmfao.

Very fresh citrusy flora flanker that has some BdC vibe but don't have the incense, it's not close but these notes seems to combine 2 of the popular LVs AS and IMG together with the BdC vibe. Nothing unique or special but it's mass appealing, has decent projection for first hour or two. MV or all Ventanas or armafs need to sit and mancerate to get better performance. But this can be oversprayed and enjoy fresh and flora notes. Some synthetic ness but it's normal. Also nothing too much marine about it except maybe it may make you feel it's a good scent for the pool or beach or a fresh day out in the waters etc. not too bad after the super popular ventana.

Armaf Ventana Marine is a pretty decent cologne. It has a nice soapy citrus like scent and overall smells pretty fresh. Great for spring and summer wear. If you overspray, you can expect more longevity and decent sillage, without it being too powerful. I mostly smell citrus, maybe some ginger, and green notes which I think mostly is the Tea. Not bad at all and is honestly a safer blind buy, and for a really good price. Scent Profile: 8/10 Longevity: 8/10 Sillage: 8/10 Overall: 8/10

Clean, fresh, soapy aquatic scent. I can't really speak to comparisons to other fragrances, but the mixture of white florals, petitgrain, and a bit of tea holding it all together in the background is quite nice. The florals seem to become more pronounced after the initial citrus blast dries down. This just feels relaxing to wear, and I'd say it projects a bit better than most fresh/blue fragrances do, though admittedly I spray on my clothes as well as my skin.

Blind buy regret. This is basically a watered down version of Iconic Blue or BDC with abysmal performance. Versatile fragrance that can be used anytime and anywhere but lasts an hour max. Those who reviewed this smells like Luna Rossa Ocean or Imagination, you better get your nose checked.

Very nice, easy grab freshy. Smells really good and performs just like any other fresh, citrusy, woody fragrance. Loud in the beginning and fades away rather quickly. It has an arm’s length projection for about 2 hours tops. Very similar to Bleu de Chanel.

Reminds me a lot of BDC EDP with that sharp grapefruit note. Opening is salty and marrine but after 10 minutes it becomes BDC Average projection and lasting is about 6 hours 8/10

Armafs Ventana Marine is a weird fragrance. I cannot say it is a love. Why, despite the notes you see you don't get what you'd expect. Citron, Ginger, neroli, cinnamon and tea, makes you think it is closer to Imagination than it is. That is because it is pretty much a hybrid fragrance that includes most of the Imagination notes. I get a very citric open with the mix of bergamot, citron and mandarin orange. The mid is mostly ginger and neroli. You may get some cinnamon and jasmine too. The base is tea and musk. Now I get three fragrances from this one. One is obviously Imagination but it is maybe 15%. Another is Blue de Chanel which I get maybe 25%. The main is Light Blue Pour Homme. It is not directly the classic light blue but once you smell it, you can't un-smell it. The main missing note in the incense undertone. This lasts 5 hours which is on par with Light Blue Pour Homme and Bleu de Chanel. Like both of those, this one is a summer and springtime fragrance. You should wear it casually but can wear it for dressing up. Just tell them it is light blue when you get asked what it is... For these reasons I give Ventana Marine a 7.4 out of 10. I wish it lived up more to the Imagination side as there is no real clone that gives it everything that is asked for.

Another curiosity blind buy. I can't really tell you if it was a success or a failure since I don't know how to rate it. At fist spray you'll recognise the BDC DNA which at first might seem as another attempt to clone BDC but then after som maturation you'll also smell an imagination type of DNA in there. So how do you rate a scent that tries to go after 2 very popular luxury scents at the same time ? I love both of those DNAs but I'm just not sure of I like them together. Don't get me wrong , it's a very pleasant freshie in my opinion, it's just weird that those scents are being combined into one. Ok so they're not a 1to 1 clone to those scents to be fair but nevertheless,you'll definitely recognise them. In conclusion: It's a nice clean freshie for warmer weather. Easy to wear and well forth the price if you can see past the fact that this is an experimental frag trying to smell like two of the world's most popular scent s, at least that's what it smells like for me.

Looking at the note breakdown I expected something more nuanced, but the price kinda makes sense why it is not. This is just BDC EDT with a dose of an ozonic, marine kind of vibe. Timeless, soapy, clean, gets the job done. THIS DOES NOT RESEMBLE LV's IMAGINATION OR DYLAN BLUE let me be clear. This is honestly really good for the price ($13) you can't even complain, cause I remember back a few years you'd have to pay $50-$60 for something like this, and the quality is definitely pretty decent too, and this is like 10 times cheaper than the real deal while only having 20% diff in quality. All in all, a decent smell for dumb reaching for a dumb price. It lasts like 6 hours. 7/10 P.D. You can also get Ramz Silver, all of the Victoriosos, all of the Salvos, all of the Glaciers for the same price and all of those are just better fragrances.

So I just picked up a 10ml travel spray of Ventana Marine. I'll start by saying that I've read it was an inspo of LV Imagination, so for the price I had to try it. I know that a lot of these Middle Eastern fragrances need time to mature to get the full effect so I'm basing my thoughts on initial experience. Ventana Marine from the first initial sprays comes off as generic and lacking character. The scent profile is akin to Missoni Pour Homme with slight aspects of Imagination. I will say that after only a few sprays and revisiting the next day the scent has already improved so the jury's still out on this one. Overall a pleasant scent profile and slightly more of a crowd pleaser than CDN Iconic although that's probably the better of the 2. Iconic has more a citrus zing to it while Ventana Marine has a some creaminess to it.

Clone twist of Bleu de Chanel EDP that moves in a Louis Vuitton Imagination direction into the heart and base. It opens with a bright citrus in the form of bergamot and mandarin, backed by some oceanic aquatic accord. The heart comes through quickly with black tea blended with subtle ginger and some other spices. The base is airy with an ambery musky sandalwood. Ultimately it is more BDC than it is Imagination, like BDC with splashes of the LV for the tea and musk.

This is in my opinion the perfume where you get most perfume for your money. I got one for 20 euro(!). Actually insane. I havent got as many compliment from a perfume as i have with this one. Usually the sillage isnt that strong on me but with this one its very noticable. I recomend heavily with the price in mind. Definitely a blind buy.

I like it, when i wear this frag it gives me ease knowing its not to much for the nose that may encounter it, but i will ad that i do not get L.V imagination from this. i smell a lot more of the Chanel Bleu DNA in the opening, and it gradually turns into something unique in its own special way. Maybe i'll buy again once it runs out.

don't understand all the hate towards this fragrance here. yes it's nothing unique or groundbreaking but none of fresh scents are. VM is inoffensive, easy going freshy. it smells like a very nice shower gel: a nice balance of soapy citruses with a subtle sweetness mixed with fresh green/herbal/woody tart notes.

It smells synthetic but pleasant... i like to wear it in office and gym, the performance is pretty good, around 6 to 8 hours if you overspray, and the projection around 2 hours with arm's length. it reminds me of bleu de chanel edp but more sweet and less spicy.

#FR_Log2 - Blind buy rating : 8/10 I tried my friend's bottle which he got from 2 years ,this is your everyday fresh safe mass pleasing scent and it instantly reminded me of BDC . The opening is well done with splash of sweet citruses and juice quality is good compared to other BDC inspirations available in the local market , most importantly the sandalwood here is not sickening synthetic and it is well blended. While this one completely lacks the smokiness of incense or what we get from labdanum and after 2 hours the dry down reminded me of Yeah Man ! by Maison Alhambra like the dry down on that and this smells same in the air for some reason. This one lasts 3/4 hours on skin and 6/7 hours on clothes while this projects moderately for one and half hour then sits close. Overall a good scent.

Opening like Versace Pour Homme to me but after standing 30 minutes gives me D&G Light Blue For Men vibe which citrusy is turning into marine but not that marine while dry-down like Bleu de Chanel. This perfume smells boring and old-fashioned but it has many vibes in one. And with performance and price, worth it!!!

I got mine from JShop, after watching the YT reviews..Dont know if I got a bad batch. lasts for about 30 minutes on skin projection next to none. Packaging plasticky and cheap. Juice zero rating.
