Immortal Lust: This fragrance starts out solid, thick, rich, spicy, and deliciously sweet and welcoming. There is a woody, earthy note that is a bit polarizing to an average nose but after 5 minutes this is where the fragrance truly shines. The leathery component of labdanum resins, and spices perfectly intertwined with the lovely immortel and floral jasmine. The smoky aspects from the birch that rest on a bed of this beautiful smooth woody and leather from the labdanum stay with you the entire wearing. I have been wearing it for 3 weeks now, and I can confidently say that the dry-down of this fragrance is simply divine. This is a unique fragrance and would be categorized as a "Beyond Niche" type of creation. After a few weeks of testing... Scent: 10/10 (I adore it) Compliment Factor: (Age 25 below - 6/10 ; Age 30 above - 10/10) * all are unsolicited A bit polarizing to some but I think this depends on the age group. Performance: Projection 6/10, Sillage 7/10, Longevity 10/10 (Last on my shirt for weeks, also stained my clothes so be careful not to spray too close.) * average of 2 full sprays per wearing ------------------ I blind-bought some of AdS partial bottles (Immortal Lust, Fatal Fougere, and Island Tobacco) and also tried some samples (Pineapple Sunrise, Eau de Chypre, and Vanillac Fantasy). After testing them for a week, I can say that all of AdS fragrances are of very high quality. This led me to my second purchase, which included Choco Oud, Pineapple Sunrise, and Blueberry Morning. Now, I am eagerly waiting for my third purchase to arrive, which consists of "A Day at the Barbers" and "Vanillac Fantasy". Within the last two months, I have gone on a buying spree. ------------------- My personal Current Top 5: 1. Immortal Lust 2. Pineapple Sunrise 3. Vanillac Fantasy 4 or 5.Choco Oud / A day at the Barbers (Depending on my mood) After owning nearly a thousand bottles from various popular designer and niche fragrance houses, I must say that the quality of AdS fragrances is outstanding and it exceeded my expectations. This house brought back creativity, beauty, and true perfume artistry to the current fragrance landscape that is saturated with copycats lacking originality. Oz

Opens gorgeous spicy fruity immortelle. Later fruit fades and the immortelle gains a caramelized cookie type vibe. Like immortelle + gingerbread. Also a hint of licorice, no idea where from. I always love a good immortelle and this hits the spot for me.

Sampling Aromas de Salazar Immortal Lust, a spicy, floral, semi-sweet blend that blends a strong floral heart of jasmine sambac and immortelle with an assortment of citruses and spices in the opening and a multifaceted base dominated by resins and woods. It’s strong and complex, apt for cooler weather, and feels very formal and likely more targeted for advanced, mature noses. The main standout notes for me are jasmine, immortelle, lime, cardamom, myrrh, rum, birch, vanilla, and sugar. It does not land particularly sweet, despite starting out sharper and drying down smoother, as is the normal pattern. It remains highly interesting throughout its lifespan, though, and I enjoy the smoothing over as it dries down. It’s priced at $175 for 50ml, roughly the average for the house, and particularly considering its nuances and exceptional performance, that’s very reasonable in the current market, in my opinion. Overall, I quite like this fragrance but need some more time to unravel it, but I absolutely recommend that others try it. Some might very well regard this is as the crowning achievement of the house to date. 7 out of 10

Immortelle and amber forward, supported by a significant dose of spices, clove is most notable to me, and brightened by a bit of fruit, I mostly get the pear. With all of this house’s fragrances, the is a cacophony of smell, but in my opinion Salazar does a wonderful job making them play off one another in a balanced way. This and much of Salazar’s other perfumes are quite powerful, my wife will notice them from across a room. Which depending on your intent when wearing perfume you may want to spray less than your usual.

Fruity, sugary goodness. This is playful yet grown at the same time. This one slaps. Also a common theme with this house is their performance! Absolutely bombastic powerhouses💪🏿

I have more than a few from this house and I'll start by saying I see this wayyy more an "indie" house than a 'niche' one. Not that - that matters in the big picture but its good to know prior to getting you nose on it as I believe niche seems to have slid over closer designers over time, and some of the offerings here can be a bit unsuspecting, hench the preamble. I'd say if you're looking for mass appealing, this might be best tried via decant/sample. If, however, you've been in the game more than a while and looking for something a bit off the beaten path, this house punches WAY above its weight. I'm on my 3rd or 4th wear of Immortal Lust, and I think I've got a basic handle on this. I'd say this would shine in the colder weather and is probably better suited for night. This is warm and syrupy yet not too sweet. In fact, it seems the honey-like sweetness shines a bit the further you are away from the skin (no doubt from the Immortal). I didn't catch any of the citrus as listed in the notes, a very slight hit of black pepper (which stays thru the mid), and the black currant is there but never overwhelming. Amber, sugar, a slight bit of rum, myrrh, and tonka is what holds down the base for me....and it stays for hours. I'd also say the transition from top, middle, to base is very quick on my skin, maybe an hour tops. I really like this and will keep a 10ml decant in my collection but don' think I'd do beyond that. I see myself wearing this skiing, going to a winter after-dinner show, lighting of a Christmas Tree, or at an outdoor Thanksgiving football game....its screams confidence, not needing compliments, and not at all off-putting to anyone you come into contact with. This is an "indie amber" done right! Fine job, fine job indeed.

I tested this yesterday in heat and humidity. Turned out to be a winner. Not sure it's something I need-need. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. Even garnered the rare compliment from a friend. Evidently, she was down wind or it has some throw. She was roughly five feet away. Applied to fresh, cool skin I get the soft hay-like tones of the immortelle followed by the resins, woods, and spices. Later, in the day on my sweaty, hot skin topping up the fragrance brought out spice cookie vibes. Definitely like this one. Longevity was very good for summer (6-7 hours) and I never felt overwhelmed by it.
