Cupidos Kiss

Cupidos Kiss was launched in 2011 and its name brings a certain double meaning. That's because if we think of this perfume's name as Cupido's Kiss, it would be necessary to change the spelling. The term Cupidos comes from Latin and here it means desirous. Thus, Cupidos Kiss speaks more of the desire to be hit by Cupid's arrow of love, than to win a kiss from him. And for that, the perfumer thought about the sensations of passion, when the heart seems to jump through the mouth and the whole body reveals a shiver on the skin. Then, she created a fragrance that opens with neroli absolute, revealing a floral body of red roses petals and narcissus, on a surprising base of jasmine, sandalwood, and an exclusive infusion of ginger with chocolate. On the skin, this fragrance is what I consider to be innovative. And that does not necessarily mean that it is unlike anything I have experienced out there. The crucial point is finding unique accords (whether pleasurable or not), unusual mixes, and extravagant results. And here we have an incredible infusion of ginger with chocolate, which is felt in the first moments, even though it is at the base of the composition. Cupidos Kiss is a floral perfume with oriental nuances and low evolution, keeping the olfactory path with consistency, but without presenting a very animalic aspect (like in white florals), neither too delicate nor too innocent. Its fragrance has a heady effect and is full of green and luminous facets. The narcissus brings a hint of tobacco and the combination of ginger and chocolate symbolizes the arrow reaching the heart. On my skin, the oriental side is more evident on cooler days, while a luxury soap's effect is revealed at higher temperatures, which is when the neroli shows its value. I also think it is worth saying that I consider Cupidos Kiss fragrance a beautiful example of what the term genderless means. Undoubtedly, it is one of those perfumes that leave the consumer with more curiosity to try the other creations of its perfumer.
