Amaretto Jazz in the Melting Room

i was initially disappointed that it smelled like Killian’s Angel’s Share in the first few sprays, but after wearing it the second time around it smelled shockingly different. the smell of cognac and honey were subdued and i could finally pick up the smell of nutty amaretto, the communion bread and ‘candle wax’ more. apparently from the notes listed by the company itself, it’s no surprise that this is one of the best almond/amaretto heavy perfumes i’ve ever bought. personally the combination of bread, candle wax and tobacco reminded me of standing near an altar inside of a catholic church, so it also smelled weirdly nostalgic. the brand’s styling and the blurb they provided this perfume with definitely helped evoke memories i associated with the smell of those notes, so that’s impressive. apart from the most noticeable notes i’ve mentioned, the remaining ones seem to just blend together to lend the perfume with an appropriate amount of sweetness. some whiffs i’d taken had smelled powdery and i could only guess that the itd been the notes of dust responsible for it. its longevity is more than decent, which should be the standard for its concentration anyway. i can’t vouch for its sillage yet as i have only worn this in my room, but it does smell strong enough that i don’t have to keep sniffing whichever body part i applied the perfume onto. its pricing could be better since im poor as hell to be dropping this much money on ‘super’ niche perfumes but considering how much this amused me for the past two days that ive owned this perfume.. i’d say buying it’s worth it. i’m not sure how consistent it would set itself apart from the DNA it shares with Angel’s Share, but in the (hopefully not so near) future i would mostly likely repurchase this. i’d choose this over Killian’s for its bottle alone and for the sake of self expression. needless to say im happy with this

Transit Venus is Squaring my Saturn, and my boyfriend has been coughing up blood lately. Transit Jupiter is Squaring my Moon, so I gave in and bought my third blind-buy ever. Upon first sniff, the scent of alcohol found in most perfumes lingers, merging with a slightly bready, slightly nutty scent. The alcoholic nuances of the amaretto note give way to a raw, honeycomb sweetness which is deepened by a certain wax-like quality. The candle is white & unscented, but its presence doesn't go unnoticed--it's smooth, gentle, and allows the fragrance to be waxy while still embracing a slightly spiced dusty quality in the vein of powdered cinnamon. The cherry is more present in the bready opening (it can feel a bit medicinal when paired with the alcoholic notes, but just wait); after 10 or so minutes, the cherry is visible as a distinct sharp after-smell, closing off the end of inhalation. When sitting with it for 10 or 20 minutes, the full experiences comes out. When the scent first hits your nose, it's a slightly bready honeycomb with mixed spices. After maybe a second of inhalation, the cherry arrives in a rounded, bloody cherry-jam sort of way. Reminiscent mulled wine. I don't own any cherry-based fragrances, and while this is certainly not cherry-centric, I enjoy it deeply. I don't get much cocoa, though maybe one could say that there's a certain cocoa-powder quality to the subtly spicy presence of the dust. Abstractly rich. I can see myself getting sick of this, but for now. I'll binge and binge and binge 'till I vomit up cherry-colored amaretto.

One of the best, if not the best, perfumes I’ve ever smelled. It opens with a note reminiscent of bread soaked in white wine (like during Easter communion, or something similar). Then, the fragrance transitions into rich notes of candle wax, amaretto, honey, and almonds. The honey takes center stage, blending beautifully with a boozy undertone and hints of almond. The dry-down is absolutely divine, with all the notes harmonizing into a deeply sensual and smooth finish. This is the perfect scent for date nights or romantic occasions—so refined and enchanting that it’s hard not to love if you enjoy these kinds of notes. Amaretto jazz in the melting room is the most powerful scent I've ever put on my skin. If holiness has a scent, this must be it. Amaretto and honey, almonds and cherry liqueur, and your grandma's old couch up in the attic where you gather with friends for a drink and listen to jazz. I'm obsessed. And how does it feel to own 1 of only 100 perfumes in the world? Priceless. I don't know exactly how to put the emotional element that comes over me in any normal words after my first encounter with this perfume. I have great awe for the perfumes of David-Lev Jipa-Slivinschi of Toskovat. In his latest collaboration with Ataraxia, he has surpassed himself beyond my ability to put my thoughts into words. These guys are so ahead of our time and the magic of perfumery with all the messages that a perfume can bring you, they create art and history.

Boozy gourmand that feels like stepping into a smoky jazz lounge filled with warmth and nostalgia. It blends the sweetness of amaretto and dessert-like tones with cozy candle wax, a touch of tobacco, and soft woody undertones. The result is rich, creamy, and slightly mysterious comforting yet haunting, like a bittersweet memory wrapped in music and dim light. A true atmospheric perfume that wears like an emotional story on human skin, i only wish the initial smell lasted forever, it takes you into another dimension. Ive never understood the saying that you taste with your nose until now. I have been guzzling water all day wearing 8 sprays of this fragrance and with every sip i get more convinced that im drinking amarreto. Dont get me wrong i love amaretto, but drinking water with the taste of amaretto all morning without the main features that make amaretto great is horrible. I love this fragrance. Super boozy, very bready suprisingly. I get almost 0 sweetness, honey is there but its not sweet or strong. Bread and amaretto. lovely

The cherry note is a bit more prominent, now. After a week with this fragrance, I've noticed that it's distinctly bar-like. Sweet, almond-y honey with some cluttered nuances of cherry and ground spices. Not sticky like honey or juicy like cherries--the texture of this fragrance is DUST. Still love it; the lasting power is as strong as my zoologist scents, and while it can get a bit cloying, a spray on the lower back of my shirt or coat prevents it from becoming overwhelming, but keeps it intoxicating.

This Fragrance is something AMAZING. It opens with a very sweet almond. Almost powdery. the Rum and Amaretto come out from the beginning, and the way I like to describe it, the scent is almost like the sting you get when you take a shot. It was amazing. It is overwhelmingly sweet. The cherry and honey are very prominent after about 2-3 hours. This fragrance lasts forever on my skin. This is Amazing, and the idea behind this collaboration is very cool as well.

The holy bread and amaretto opening immediately pulled me in. It feels warm, comforting, and just a little nostalgic. As it settles, dark cherry, tobacco, candle wax, and old wood create the feeling of sitting in a forgotten jazz bar long after the music has ended. Rich without being overly sweet, and one of the most atmospheric gourmands I’ve worn.

It opens on an almond bread scent. Then comes the sweet sweet honey... It sort of fights with the candle was giving this church kind of vibes. It's amazing. You feel grandiose wearing it. Unstopable. It feels like a baptism. But you get baptise by the devil. I associate this scent with the movie "Touch of Evil" by Orson Welles.

If only this fragrance was the same as the opening the whole time.. it goes from this beautiful melted candle with this powdery almond to this honey overload, dont get me wrong its still nice but i dont think id get it over the other toskos on my list

My god is this beautiful, may be the best fragrance i've ever smelled. Not that sweet as i was expecting. Bread, amaretto blending together with cherry and honey. So happy i managed to score one of the original bottles

Just got my sample of it, and the scent is absolutely stunning. Super realistic honey and powdery almond scent, with a taste of that cherry in the back.

The most realistic honey scent i own. I love it, i can't get enough of it. The bread, the tobaco, it reminds me of home. Amazing scent.

A bit disappointing, considering how hard it was to find a decant of this. Overly sweet bread and almond with a boozy touch. I do not get much cherry or honey. The almond/amaretto is very overwhelming in the opening and lasts a very long time. There is definitely some cocoa/dark chocolate in the base, but it is extremely underwhelming, considering the constant and extremely overpowering amaretto throughout the entire wear. It is definitely its own, and smells nothing like other sweet/boozy scents, which we have more than enough of already. I could see why people would love this, but for me, other options are more appealing. It's good, but definitely not for me, which I thought would be the case.

The wax candle note is such a tasty novelty. The bread is there too, but smells like communion more than simply bread. But apart from that, I think this is not otherwise a standout scent, and just seems like a standard cherry-liqueur. (Cherry is more pronounced for me than amaretto, however I used to drink way too much amaretto a long time ago and once spilled a bottle so that scent is overly familiar to me.)

Wow this fragrance is absolutely stunning. I got my hands on an ataraxia bottle and this is absolutely amazing. Amaretto with a very realistic honey, also picking up on something cinnamony but wheat like, might be the supposed bread note. Imagine a slightly spicy and dry bread, soaked in high quality honey and amaretto. I don't really smell anyting that has to do with chocolate, or cherry for that matter. The dust note is also pretty much bullshit, might be that dryness from the bread note as well?

One of my new favorites. I will buy a bottle when they restock because of how amazing it smells. It smells like a black jazz club I attended in NYC back in 2017.

Am a bit confused.... Have the same fragrance from the same creator but it’s a Toskovat... is it the same juice ?
