Vestibule

Since I became interested in niche perfumery (a little over a year ago), I have tested over 300 perfumes and very few have had the impact that Vestibule have, not only on my taste, but also on my perspective on what it really means to be a perfumery enthusiast. Vestibule has awakened so many extremely specific things in me, something that no perfume had, until then, done with such mastery. The feelings I have when I wear it vary between a wonderful nostalgia, mixed with longing and mourning that rekindle in me, of course, in a sad but very pleasant way, so to speak. The notes remind me of my childhood, growing up in a small town in the countryside of Brazil, visiting my grandparents' farm. When we went to sleep there, we stayed in this little wooden house that consisted of a kitchen and a bedroom with two bunk beds. The smell of old wood mixed with the dew on the trees in the morning, the candles my grandmother lit so she could cook at night (since there was no electricity in that region at the time), even the smell of the mattress and the sheets stored away... all of this awakened memories that I didn't even think I would remember, bringing me peace, anguish, longing for a simpler time, with no major concerns other than being happy. Thank you very much Toskovat and Ataraxia. One of my favorite perfumes, without a shadow of a doubt! Plus, great performance, lasting at least 8 hours on my skin. 10 out of 10!

I received it today. It's not a composition, but a liquid mirror in which you can observe yourself. It speaks of inner closure, of humiliation, of the desire to reach an end rather than remain exposed to the light. On my skin, it starts slightly spicy, Carolina Reaper on some old chocolate left to molder on an old living room cabinet. After a while, it mellows, the chili pepper giving way to a delicious torta amandina (a typical Romanian chocolate cake). Too bad I can't eat a slice; all I can feel is dirt penetrating my mouth, potato peel becoming the cake's topping. It's an absolute masterpiece, the quality is sublime, and it's a truly complex fragrance, as if chocolate had many facets that always lead to internal disappointment, to time becoming a millstone. My biggest compliments to Ataraxia, may you continue to shine in the darkness🩶🖤

I'm obsessed with this one, truly like nothing else! Opens with a blast of salted edamame, dark chocolate & chilli peppers. As it dries down, the spice tames & this really does start smelling like chocolate cake in a dusty old house with pollen & earth in the background. Truly a work of art, and lasts ages on skin! Update: This has easily become one of the loudest fragrances I've ever tried. 1 spray is more than enough to fill a room, & it's INTENSE. It's honestly a shame that Ataraxia got greedy, because as a brand they truly fumbled one of the most groundbreaking collaborations the fragrance industry has ever seen. Toskovat's perfumery is like no other, and it's a shame that we may never see the collaboration's true potential. Allegedly there were 7 total formulas worked on, and only 3 are currently confirmed to be re-released

@cherryp13 I got the same from it when I first sprayed it. I actually got hit with the strong smell of Wasabi, but after having let it sit for quite some time it’s really mellowed out and it’s a nice dusty chocolate smell. Not amazing by any means, but definitely not gag worthy 😂

This is cocaine leaking chocolate. Stale beer on the table if you’re looking for it or hungover & susceptible. I won’t disregard the old house/old book tags, but I’m pretty sure that’s just what cocaine cut with cocoa powder is, 1970s brownies. If you’ve never blown your mind spray this a couple times and then box it up. Open it up the following morning and you have been baptized. China White & Tuscan Leather are right there but the box this comes in IS what it is. Soft sweet synthetic floral adhesive.
