Kawa Karda

A fizzy, fresh, uplifting, and memorable masterpiece I can't love this scent enough, it immediately put me in a good mood... Definitely unisex, like its sibling "Cocoa Kimiya | Atelier des Ors" which unfortunately did not hit the mark for me. "Kawa Karda | Atelier des Ors" opens with a sparkling cardamom, almost effervescent like the first statement says. It grabbed my attention immediately. Then comes a coffee but this is not your typical coffee. It's fresh, slightly citrusy. It's refreshing but dark, feels like a sophisticated fizzy coffee cocktail with the right amount of cardamom and citrus. I could see this becoming my signature scent. I would love people to associate me with this scent. It's almost worth the price.

A perfectly pulled ristretto with a cardamom infused CO2 rich crema on the top (no idea how that would happen but let’s pretend) served with a large piece of curled lemon rind to cut the bitterness. Under that you get earthy smells, dark chocolate, and equally dark florals. This isn’t a sweet gourmand at all, it’s dark and rich and bitter and may be too much for some people to want to wear but walking into a kitchen that smells like this would be swoon inducing for anyone that likes coffee. The older I get the more importance coffee has in my life so this perfume gives real pleasure. Lasts 8 hours on skin, the dry down is much milder and quite floral.

Wow. What a striking interpretation of Arabic coffee ritual, the dallah cup, this is. Kawa Karda feels swoon worthy: rich, smooth, aromatic, woody, spicy and utterly modern. I say “realistic” because the coffee here isn’t simply a gourmand twist; it has veracity, depth and finesse. The opening brings cardamom’s green spice brightness, followed by the dark roast of coffee with earthy, slightly woody undertones. The creation is beautifully balanced, not syrupy or overly sweet. Perfumer Marie Salamagne has nailed it. It is a refined treat for anyone who really loves coffee & cardamom in fragrance.

Fascinating fragrance. Opening is dark coffee spice, but it's a fast fascinating fragrance journey. Cardamom stays but coffee has its moment to shine. It's dark, but energizing and cool somehow. Almost in a mentholated or medicinal way. Then an orange citrus touch flits at the edges, very fresh, a zest - all of these smoothly transitioning and blended masterfully. Need to test more, but this is captivating and mysterious. More masculine but the dry down is unisex. Wears close to skin but has substance. Quite something.

Lukewarm coffee and cardamom on the menu. No need to elaborate on these two notes brought together for my greatest pleasure — it’s simple yet beautiful. Addictive. Spices and coffee always make a wonderful pairing. I feel a hint of lemon in this drink, and it’s utterly pleasant

just a simple fragrance, if you are a coffee lover and you have some experience with fragrance this is for you. This is just coffee and cardamom, make it sweet and spicy. Longevity is ok and have above moderate projection.

Just love it. The cardamom and Arabic coffee.Not fan of Cocoa Kimiya thoug.

Reminded me of my days in middle east - starting the day with arabic coffee: coffee with cardamom. I love the fact that this perfume put me on a flight and took me to my life 5 years back. Having this coffee served in every occasion - how could it smell so realistic?! Love the greenish sweet touch on top of coffee and cardamom. Might be a good layering perfume especially with oud for total middle eastern feel. I enjoy it

To me, this wasn’t so much coffee, as it was ingredients that make up a middle eastern coffee...I basically got: bitter, dry, green coffee beans roasting in a caste iron skillet over an open fire...cardamom pods are added in the roasting process, giving an aromatic flare...smokey, dry, bitter...much better than the rating implies

This is a synthetic, intoxicating green-spicy fragrance.

This is a very interesting scent. It is a cardamom bomb with a very dark coffee note. However, this is not an easy perfume. It has different stages and it can feel like a really sharp, harsh, metallic scent. In the first few minutes It burns the nostrils. I have to admit that the drydown gets much better and you can smell something like burning coffee, like when black coffee is spilled on a hot stove and it burns. That part is kind of intriguing. From a distance it feels like there is a pot boiling spiced coffee and the steam is filling the entire place. I like the very late drydown, although is not really natural smelling. But why the initial harsh stages? I don't know how to endure the initial harshness, it's too synthetic...but I kind of like the drydown....I am on the fence with this one.

Wow! The opening is gorgeous dark coffee. A dark and dry coffee note but theres something creamy here too, like coffee froth, almost. Very gourmand at first, even thought i get a hint of dark chocolate for a few minutes here but it fades. The cardamom is present throughout. After some time, to my surprise, it almost smells like there is a citrus note (orange) taking over slowly, almost completely overpowering the coffee. It settles down again rather quickly, leaving only a hint of coffe, spice and faint orange like scent behind. Im a little dissapointed, the opening was very enjoyable but the base is very light and underwhelming. 6/10

Guyssssss, this is an elegantly crafted fragrance that beautifully balances warmth and sophistication. Its blend of aromatic spices and smooth woods creates a comforting yet luxurious aura. If you are expecting this to be your standard gourmand, sugar-caramelly sweet mass-marketed coffee scent, you will be disappointed. This is wholly another level, altogether. This is extremely astute and refined. arid. dusty. atmospheric. Arabic coffee brewed on an open fire carried across the sand on a hot wind. Its gorgeous stuff.

It’s nice. Tried it. It’s perfumed coffee cardamom. But green cardamom not dry cardamom like LNDLH. It is kind of sweet but not overly so. performance is ok. above average but not beastly not worth more than $120-$130 imo and it is strictly “try first”

I was so incredibly excited to try Kawa Karda. I had imagined a warm and decadent cardamom spiced Arabic coffee. It’s not. I’m so sad. This is very ‘perfumey’ and sharp - 3/10

Lovely but WAY overpriced for a coffee and cardamom scent. What are these secret "rare raw materials"?

Smells exactly like cake with coffee syrup to me. Not bad but def not 300+€ worth
