Pomelo Riviera

Is the performance a bit rough? Yes. Did I still buy a bottle despite the high price tag? Yes. This is an absolutely beautiful scent, starting with a slightly salty blast of grapefruit and white flowers. The salt comes out more in the dry-down, along with a slightly vegetal neroli, and an absolutely lovely rose peeks out. Citrus doesn't last that long, I understand that, but I wish it was replaced by some other solid, long lasting scents. For me, the grapefruit is there for around an hour, and the flowery salty dry-down tapers down to a skin scent in a few hours, maybe 4 hours if we're lucky. I think this would be a great EDP if they upped the rose here just a bit, and tried to get more performance out of all the flowers. As it stands, it's a very expensive cologne type scent, I was lucky to find 100ml for around 160. I suspect this may be replaced one day by a better lasting summer scent, I just haven't found anything this beautiful. That being said, I will be wearing this a ton this summer as I just can't get over it!

my search for a replacement for the discontinued Sol di Positano by Tom Ford continues -- with the purchase of this new summer love. Pomelo Riviera. LOVE 💙 💛 🧡 The bottle and presentation is Gorgeous! Beautiful blue fade glass w/ gold flakes inside, the white cap with a seahorse on the top, in a gold embossed white box. This is a FABULOUS summer sun beach scent! ☀️ Lots of Grapefruit (pomelo). Has a fresh but spicy tart rind that morphs into the pomelo fruit sweetened with jasmine and orange blossom. Citrusy freshness with orange blossom and hints of jasmine. The dry down pulls just a hint salt and the citrus notes are more noticed again. Well is it similar to Sol di Positano? NO. Lots of grapefruit. It is somewhat in the same vein, but different. Different enough to have it in my collection. Does not smell like Jour d'Hermes, but it has a similar tart grapefruit.

Been looking for the perfect refreshing fragrance to carry me through the hot as hell summers where I live, and this is it. Almost ethereal in its lightness, with the most photorealistic and effervescent citrus opening-- like ripping off the peel of a cold pomelo right under your nose. Are there other longer lasting citruses at a less luxurious price? Definitely. But every other citrus I've tried in the +110 F of my home climate has either dissipated into nothing in 5 minutes, or relied on heavier base notes to carry the fragrance through a longer lasting dry down. In this heat, I much prefer that this leans salty before dissipating completely. Not a revolutionary scent profile, and not a beast for sure, but it's top of its class and makes me feel like a fizzy glass of ice cold pomelo Perrier

This fragrance is a fresh crystalline and transparent grapefruit citrus based scent with a salty sea breeze aspect. It is supposed to evoke the sea air of southern France punctuated by the tangy and fizzy zest of pomelo. The perfect perfume for all fans of sunbathing on the French Riviera who love strolling on the famous “Promenade des Anglais”.🌊☀️🍊🍧 This is a really beautiful summer fragrance but unfortunately performance is not as great as I expected.😤 I had no more than 4 hours of longevity on my skin even when I bundle spray and the scent stays close to the skin after 2 hours. Too bad because this perfume would have been a real masterpiece if the performance was on point. I hope you had better performance than me since it all depends on skin chemistry and climate.😊

About 2 years ago I got a sample set from Atelier Des Ors and while I didn't like the other four fragrances, I loved this one. Since then, I tried many citrusy/salty orange blossom fragrances but NOTHING comes close to this one. It starts with a beautiful, realistic grapefruit that LASTS and never gets overpowered by the other notes. The orange blossom is also very realistic and the jasmine is subtle, neither of them ever turn dirty or sweaty. The salty note smells like a sea breeze. All of these are blended together to perfection. It's expensive, but I did order a FB after finding it on a discount site for 150EUR so that I can still enjoy it this summer <3

So lovely but so darn intimate in projection, especially for the price. The scent profile is a wonderful fresh citrus with a hint of white florals, but I would have loved it to have been a little louder. But this is a close to skin scent. Yes it is very well done and smells incredible and inoffensive but it is hard to justify it’s luxury cost. I found this also to be true with Nuda Veritas which is also a gorgeous scent profile. Although Pomelo Riviera did bare a little more weight, they were both gone too soon.

I have a love/hate relationship with this one. Makes me so sad that such a beautiful, refined and classy smell has such a poor performance. It smells of fresh airy grapefruit, it makes you travel to the french riviera on a sunny day with a white shirt and sunglasses. Smells very classy and refined. But it fades away quickly :-( Such a shame, cause it costs 200€ and the gold glitter is beautiful.

This is Summer to me. I was in doubt if I should get this or Rose Omeyyade (I've been looking for a rose perfume I love and that lasts for ages) so I went for the latter. Both turned out to last 8hr+ on me, so I was delighted when I was gifted this also. Absolutely perfect for Spring/Summer, definitely citrusy (but not too much or too sharp), salty, cedary on me. I adore it.

more than pomelo i get neroli, very beast mode sharp yuzu and neroli to my nose. very similar to other neroli masterpiece like neroli portofino, haramain neroli canvas and nishane colonize. love the bottle 10 for quality, 5 for uniqueness. its a known DNA but done to perfection

WOW, this is Amazing. If you are a fan of pomelo in scents, you need to try this one. I am putting it on my "to buy" list. A great Creation in line with Atelier Cologne Pomelo PAradise and Heeley Note de Yuzu. Yummy!

Slightly sweet perfect summer scent! It was a love at first smell. On my skin it lasted for almost 24 hours, though faint. Not loud, fresh and light!

Citrus day for me today! This is gorgeous. I've tried many a grapefruit frags, usually I get disappointed by the bitterness. Here it's not bitter but it is green or "vegetal" as some have described. I also think the salt note adds a certain unique vibe to it, maybe even a sea salt / beachy feel. I don't mind that, it smells natural, just a touch sweet, plenty tart like a great pomelo. In fact this unique twist is present in Jour Hermes, although in that one it feels a bit more synthetic. Seems to last but I'll have to get back on that one. Great scent and quality overall, great one for the summer if it does last might even be worth the (second hand, eBay) price tag. Lasts well, but the drydown is mostly salty and green, a little soapy.

This is a really strong like for me. The opening is spot on to the top notes listed. Citrus bomb. When it dries down, I get more green notes and I'm reminded of the bougiest soap you can ever think of. If you're looking to add a summer scent from Atelier Des Ors, I would pick Nuda Veritas over this one. (No, these don't smell the same). But still worth owning both 🤭

Quite an uplifting freshie, with a slight tropical aura. Feels youthful, a lil feminine, and refreshing. The grapefruit is a sweeter citrus and the general profile is clean. Pretty linear imo, but not bad. As any freshie, it doesnt last a super long time, but at least this one is pleasant, and not extremely boring. I like it

Wonderful scent, could be a signature blue-fragrance. The vibe it gives you as a fragrance on a hot summer day is unmatched. unfortunately, it has very bad performance on my skin. If it wasn’t for the performance this would have been top tier. It lasts maximum 2 hours with little to no projection.

Nice. Leaning masculine to my nose because of the fresh spicy notes. It's predominantly the 'breezy summer in the Mediterranean' style of perfume. Sophisticated and natural smelling. Green citrus with a bit of salt and a bit of bitterness. I have smelled something similar before.

Yeah, this one’s nice — a realistic grapefruit, not like that rough Jo Malone type, but more like one you’re actually peeling, warm and very true to life. So there’s freshness here — and something to ponder.

Pomelo (similar to Pink Grapefruit) with the White Pith + Bergamot citrus + White Tuberose + White Jasmine + a Saltiness accord + touch of Vetiver dry grassroot + touch of dry Cedarwood for the base Refreshing white floral feminine dna. Nothing really new here, but the white florals are mature smelling and gorgeous! Unfortunately, these notes done are becoming a bit dated. Enjoying the Pomelo note as im a fan of anything Grapefruit smelling for rejuvenating spring/summer mornings. Some say it smells similar to Japanese Yuzu fruit. During the Mid Drydown the citrus starts to fade. Some below me it starts to smell 'celery/vegetal', i can see that now, but that's just your olfactory playing tricks on you. Vibe is European vacation with hat, sunglasses and open white shirt. I like this, but the Tuberose is just too cloying to keep smelling over & over for me for it to be a love. It's a nice casual offering for those that enjoy these florals. Test first to see if this dna genre is for your personality. 3/5 Woofs!

This is a pretty nice grapefruit/pomelo perfume but a terrible choice at the retail price point. The opening is really wonderful, natural and not on the bitter side, like others have mentioned. Unfortunately Pomelo Riviera fades too fast—normally not an issue—but is a problem when you consider the cost. Within 30 minutes it’s a skin scent and within two hours Pomelo Riviera all but vanished. It does indeed remind me of Jour d’Hermès but less like Heeley’s Note de Yuzu, the latter having really good performance for a citrus perfume. My advice: save your money and go with the Hermès, or spend a little more for the unique Note de Yuzu.

Freshly peeled aquatic citrus zest. Refreshing and light like a splash cologne, but I want more from fragrances now.

I’ve tried several fragrances from this brand and, unfortunately, I just can’t seem to enjoy their style. “Pomelo Riviera” was especially disappointing to me. The opening is extremely sharp and acidic, and the tuberose note quickly turns the fragrance into something overly cloying and, personally, quite nauseating. Of course, this is only my personal opinion and subjective perception. I bought a full 100ml bottle and ended up giving it away immediately after trying it.

Nope. Sorry. It isn’t a pleasant perfume. Starts with a bright blast of white grapefruit that slowly morphs into something greenish-woody still retaining a vague citrus note but I notice a sort of rubber-tire scent, it’s subtle but noticeable. To be sincere, I’m very upset about this perfume. I think Atelier des Ors is a purely commercial name masked as a niche house. A way better option is Pomelo paradis from Atelier Cologne or even Pamplemousse Vetiver of Zara.

This is the first Atelier Des Ors perfume i do not like.First spray- alcoholic tart grapefruit.Lasts max 5min. And then comes just overload of jasmine with little hint of citrus and rose. The combination of white floras with some kind of strange citrus note on my skin does not work for me at all. Just gives me headache.

I dont like it. As described below, it's very vegetal smelling, celery, cucumber maybe. Not my thing. Gave my decant away. If you like niche vegetal frags, it's probably great, but it's not for me.

Had my first full day's wear of this today, preceded by a half day earlier this week. It smells quite similar to Gritti's Pomelo Sorrento, but I think Gritti did it better--although the performance on this one is better. Something about Pomelo Riviera has a room spray quality to it, but not necessarily in a bad way. I think it's a charismatic, unisex (leaning feminine) citrus that is very easy to like. It's definitely pure sunshine bottled! I had it last all day, projecting for about 4 hours and a skin scent until the 10-11 hour mark when I took a shower. The half day I wore it to a baseball game, and it lasted through the sun and sweating. Great performance for this type of perfume. I blind bought it and am overall pleased with it. I do think it feels a bit redundant to have this and Pomelo Sorrento, but dang it, I'm building a crazy citrus collection I guess! This can be generally had for less than Pomelo Sorrento, so I would maybe steer most towards this one if only getting one. The bottle is incredible. Super high quality. Something no other reviews have commented on is that wherever you spray will have some some small gold flakes. Really cool touch, considering those flakes on your skin are 24k gold. Yeah, it's a gimmick, but how many other fragrances do you have doing that? Probably about zero, other than Atelier des Ors!

It’s fresh and salty, a blast of happiness from the beginning until the dry down. 🌊⛱🐚 This is my second perfume from the house. No need to say how much I adore the whole presentation, the gold flakes are just mesmerizing. I love how they made this line in a blue bottle with a white cap, see how gorgeous it is. 🤩💎 I don’t get the low rating here but again some high rating perfumes on Fragrantica failed me sometimes too. But for this one, I Love it. This is everything I need in a summer perfume. 💛💚💙

Brief grapefruit bitters in the opening, then bland creamy florals. Smells expensive indeed - even the salty part is nothing short of fleur de sel from the skin of a supermodel. That's what I get - conditioned human skin, the quiet glow of a top notch body cream, orange trees in the distant background. But it lacks something... a twist, a certain trouble, a contradiction... as well as projection. I would rather go for Eau de Pamplemousse Rose, or any Hermes Cologne, or Jardin for that matter: so much more exciting on each level.

This scent is like 50% yum and 50% yuck on my skin. Citrus/salt aspect is great but I'm assuming it is the jasmine that is going indolic (poopy/barnyard variety) and it persists as long as the fragrance lasts on my skin...less than 4 hours. The indolic aspect reminds me of Le Jardin de Monsieur Li Hermès another unisex jasmine that also didn't work with my body chemistry.

Fresh, slightly sweet & fruity but light and airy ! I loved every note here and blind bought it. The bottle is beautiful the scent is beachy but at the same time an everyday freshie. YOU WILL LOVE THIS IF YOU ARE INTO TF NEROLI PORTOFINO. I would say this is more on the feminine side but a man could wear it too.

Not at all what I was expected. Upon first spray I get a bright beautiful citrus but that fades quickly within a few minutes. Then starts to get more vegetal. I almost get celery which I find overwhelming. Not a great first impression. Need to get a few more wearings.

Wow, I looove neroli and this is the first time i can really smell neroli in a perfume. It is sooo refreshing, perfect for summer! I saw some comments about projection, i agree, i would like if it was louder, i think i would need to spray 5,6 times this one.

Very pretty. I mostly get a salty neroli vibe. Very realistic pomelo in the opening but it quickly changes to the neroli with pomelo far in the background. If you want a realistic pomelo that lasts forever, check out Citron Pomelo by Note Fragrances.

The sparkling grapefruit disappears within about 3 minutes. Then it's mostly orange blossoms and salt. There is no seaweed note but somehow it smells a little fishy. Not for me.

This opens beautifully, a neroli with citrus and greens. However, it does dry down to the vegetal note everyone is commenting on. I wouldn't buy it.

Lovely and tasty citrus. Opening is sublime. I’d be concerned about longevity, but no doubt about the smell. If I find it on a good deal, why not?
