Saint

I won this fragrance from a Youtube reviewer, The Perfume Guy, formerly known as smelling great fragrance reviews. He was going through the house's collection with a friend and offered three lucky subscribers the chance to win a bottle of their choice from the collection and I was selected as one of the three winners. I chose Saint from the collection because of the reaction Sebastian and his guest in the video had when they both smelled Saint for the first time. The note breakdown makes this one the most appealing to me and as a Christian follower of Christ, I love the name of it. I'm so thrilled to add this fragrance to my collection. I haven't opened it yet or smelled it yet but I will post an update when I do and give it a full review. UPDATE --- So, I gave it a first full wearing today, Jan.1st, 2022 which is the day after I wrote what's above. This is a beautiful fragrance. Very smooth and very well blended. Very high quality but so well blended that picking up the individual notes was difficult. Maybe once I spend some more time with it I'll be able to pick them out but today, it was just so seamlessly blended that I couldn't isolate and distinguish them. This is a sweet amber fragrance with some woodiness and leather in the background. Not animalic to my nose at all. Projection was enormous for the first couple of hours. My girlfriend and her mother told me that they smelled me immediately when I entered the house and I was well over 6 feet away from them at the time. Longevity is pretty good, too. I'm at the 8 hour mark and still picking it up pretty heavily. Sillage is amazing for the first few hours as well. I disagree with the review below about the sweetness being cloying. It is very sweet but very smooth. I just wouldn't go crazy with the sprayer. The projection was enormous as stated above, so if you go too heavy, any fragrance can become cloying. I would stick with early spring, late fall and winter with this one, though, as the sweetness could potentially be too much in the higher heat of late spring, summer and early autumn. Overall, I'm very pleased with my choice. I'm quite curious now about some of the other offerings from the house. They did send me a sample of Moon Sigh from their collection along with my full bottle of Saint, so I'll have the opportunity to try that one out but there are many more fragrances from the house that sound intriguing to me, particularly Bohemian Woods, Closer and Beton Brut. So thrilled to have won this giveaway and to add this wonderful fragrance to my ever growing collection. Very thankful to The Perfume Guy for putting the spotlight on lesser known niche and indie houses, too.

What a stunning scent. Ambery, resin, and incense are coming through strongly. The vanilla is there only as a base note in the background. It is hard to pick out individual notes because it's such a well-blended fragrance. There is a sweetness there too but almost like burnt sugar. The marketing brochure for this fragrance has a fiery explosion on the cover which suits it perfectly. There is something explosive, flammable, and nitrogen-loaded about this scent. It is also quite powerful in sillage, projection, and longevity. It's a bit too strong for my taste, but I'll surely come back to sniff and appreciate it now and again!

I really liked Saint at first, it smelled like Shalimar's beautiful citrus-amber accord, but without the smoky undertone. But later that cloying, synthetic leather emerges. The tire-like leather. Awful.

a super-expensive generic amber-citrus better done by some mainstream creations. Absolutely uninteresting artistically and technically a shame

got a sample of this because i heard it was similar to fulton&roarke's sterling which i Love but refuse to pay $200 for. upon spraying, it is very very sweet with almost no tobacco peeking through. a kind of cloying false vanilla with a tiny hint of tire smell in the back, or new plastic. going to try pairing this with something else to tone it down, otherwise i will not be wearing it and definitely will not be going for a full bottle
