Mint & Tonic is a luxurious, sophisticated, soft, cool, aristocratic, very high-quality, and very pure fragrance. The fragrance captivates the senses, making it ideal for daily morning use in the summer. One of the luxurious niche perfumes and the undisputed king of summer. The fragrance opens with a very soft opening, a mixture of soft and cool mint mixed with lime and a touch of grapefruit. The pure aromatic scents of light ginger and royal geranium gradually settle on a woody, musky base. The dominant scent of the fragrance is lime and mint, exactly as if you are drinking a cold mojito made from the finest ingredients on the beach on a hot summer morning. The packaging is dominated by a royal character, one of the best I have seen in the world of niche perfumes. The perfume bottle is very luxurious, with a luxurious metal cap that indicates the antiquity of the luxurious Atkinsons perfume house. Performance is not the best, in fact below average, lasting for several hours but close to the skin. The fragrance retails for $190 for a 100 ml bottle on the official Atkinsons luxury fragrance website. Conclusion: * If you are looking for performance, this fragrance is not for you. * If you are looking for purity and quality, this fragrance is for you.

Mint & Tonic is a very fresh, mint and lime summer scent, I'd predominantly use for summer day wear, but could stretch to evenings and warmer spring days. The performance is not too bad considering the notes used in the scent, but do not expect beast mode 12+ hours etc. If you enjoy mint in fragrances and are partial to smelling a little like a mojito mixed with a gin & tonic, this is definitely for you. I love it ❤

This opening is 🔥 but don't get your hopes up, because the fun ends soon. After that it settles into a weaker vetiver and musk. In the same realm as Floris Limes which is awesome, but has major performance problems. It smells amazing, carrying a decant is a must. Scent 7.9/10 Performance 2/10

For some time now I've been trying to find a sample of GNTONIC by M. Micallef, a scent that on paper should be good for summer and fulfil my desire for fragrances that offer a gin and tonic vibe. Unfortunately, I've not been able to find a sample, so I thought it worth trying Mint & Tonic instead, as I've heard that they are similar. I am, however, a little dubious about that, because GNTONIC explicitly aims for a gin-and-tonic vibe, whereas Mint & Tonic doesn’t seem to make such claims. Mint is one of those notes I’m often wary of because of the “toothpaste” risk. Thankfully, there are no such concerns with Mint & Tonic. Here, the opening is a calming, fresh, natural-smelling garden mint supported by hints of lime. I do find some similarity with Guerlain' Homme Eau de Parfum but Mint & Tonic is smoother and less sharp in the opening. With the Guerlain, it is the lime that sits at the forefront, with the mint playing more of a supporting role. As Mint & Tonic begins to open up, I get touches of spicy ginger, grapefruit, and orange, but none of the listed geranium. Further along, the vetiver and cedar notes become more apparent, especially after a couple of hours, although the soft mint remains present throughout. On the day I tested my sample, it wasn’t especially warm, so it’s difficult to say with certainty how well this would perform in high heat, but I suspect it would work very well. Unfortunately, on my skin I only got around four to five hours from it. Last year, Guerlain Homme EdP was one of my standard go-to fragrances on summer days, and I continue to rate it highly, so it is considerable praise when I say that I like Mint & Tonic just as much. The Guerlain is perhaps less subtle in its beauty, but I do find it lasts longer. I think that when I eventually finish the Guerlain, I could be tempted to purchase a full bottle of Mint & Tonic, although in my mind the two are too interchangeable to justify owning both at the same time. Tested: 1 ml decant Seasons / occasions: Hot summer days. Key thoughts: Lovely calming, nature mint opening that persists. Overall rating: 8/10 Buy full bottle: Possibly, once I finish my bottle of Guerlain Homme EdP, that in my mind plays a similar role.

Tried this today after being accosted by a sales assistant who picked the wrong guy to talk fragrances with! I tested her kung fu and it was pretty poor, she was very nice though and didn't pretend to be knowledgeable after she realised she was dealing with a fragrant OG!!! ;) I found it slightly underwhelming in truth. I'm a big fan of this brand for some reason I say that because not one fragrance wows me but there's some good solid stuff in there. Burlington Arcade was the highlight of recent releases from this house, Mint & tonic does open with a refreshing lime citrus, settling to a cleaner, aquatic type fragrance with a sharp hint of ginger. I was expecting something of the G&T or mojito from the name but instead a modern, clean affair which only has a hint of mint and no juniper which the tonic suggests. It's a clean, cool citrus musk of good quality, with some vetiver and cedar in the base but that's about it! Performance was average to poor on me. Update 11/11/2025 Isn't it funny that I posted the first review on this some years ago and I'm returning to it with very little further insight hahah, I have to say, although I've essentially just read out the notes in my review above it does still stand that the opening is a sharp citrus of lime and grapefruit and that blast of ginger but the real interest here is the mint note because although present and judging by the name a big component in the perfume, it's not excessively minty to me. It's a smooth, rounded smelling mint perfectly in tune with the dry vetiver/cedar base notes and the diffusive musky nature overall. The vetiver note goes hard for about ten minutes after it's settled then dies back giving a sort of earthy melancholy to what is quite an upbeat fragrance. It is a bit weak, meek and mild but I think it's a harmless, splash/cologne type fragrance which actually smells pretty nice and if you don't think it should command a silly niche pricetag, then I can sympathise with those thoughts.

Have worn this in high heat, actually surprised me how well this works in the hot weather. A lot of the freshness does disappear in the dry down and becomes more of a darker green mint but it still manages to work well in high heat even if the performance isn't great I did overspray this, and yes it did stain my shirt but I can say for a fact that because it stained my shirt it stayed on my clothes too and the scent was there until I washed my shirt. Which means this has a pretty decent oil concentration in it, the longevity isn't necessarily the issue but the projection is. And you will occasionally catch wafts of it in the air and wind as you're wearing this outdoors in the hot weather and on the beach as I was walking I kept getting wafts of it too even after I thought the scent had disappeared I was wrong

Picked up a four pack of travel size fragrances because I like 3 of 4 of them and these are easy to wear and relatively quite friendly. I enjoy the mint and tonic , but agree that the performance is less than desirable at this price point, but a lot better than many popular mainstream fragrances (albeit half the price of this one). The lime is initially very strong, but recedes in the first few minutes to let the mint, ginger, and "tonic" element develop. The result to me is a more perky, lighter, and fuzzy aromatic. There's a slight warmth underneath, and the spice element from the ginger is well balanced, and not overdone. Perfect for a sunny cool day.

A pretty straightforward mint, lime, grapefruit scent. It has added touches of mandarin orange, ginger, cedar and musk. Realistic smell, pleasant and easy going, feels like you have all these citruses and herbs in front of you. Very fresh, green, bright and minty, not much else to say. Not very unique DNA again, I personally have similar scents to this from Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria line, so I don’t need Mint&Tonic. Unsurprisingly, quite weak performance, lasts about 2-3 hours with minimal sillage. For the performance, not the quality of the juice, Mint&Tonic it is slightly overpriced in my opinion.

I think the smell itself is perfect, the performance just needs to last longer, this is one of those fragrances you'd spray over your full body after a shower and then spray your entire clothes with it. And you'd probably have to try some hacks like some baby oil to make it last longer. Just keep in mind the colour can stain white clothes and you will have to wear it on clothes you don't have much choice if you want to actually smell it so maybe just wear black clothes

I'm not the best when it comes to fragrance reviews but I'll drop my fair share of thoughts on this one. When I first smelled it at the perfume shop, it felt like a nose opening enlightening perfume I had to get my hands on it. It opens up very very nicely with all the light, fresh, citrusy green notes but once it dries down it just becomes dull imo. Nice fragrance but overpriced.

it is minty, slightly fresh and sweet. Nothing to argue about. Judging it without the price I would say, it is a well made and very likable summer scent. With pricing in mind I would stay away from it because you can get this DNA for way cheaper.

Perfect scent for summer, the mint with lime is very distinguishable in this one. Longevity is not "perfect," but considering the notes, it's quite alright. Light and easy to wear, you can't go wrong with it.

VERY fresh and natural mint, genuinely one of the most compelling mints in parfumerie. But for its price the longevity is very short, I wish it had more strong base notes

It smells like a gin tonic with mint leaves with some lemon squeezed in. Very refreshing. I would consider this unisex

Mint & Tonic is a sparkling, refreshing scent that performs poorly. The opening is breathtaking, sparkling, mint, ginger and citruses. It reminds me a summer drink, like a refreshment or a cocktail. This beautiful opening lasts for 10 minutes, then it goes very weak like and projects softly for 30 minutes, after that it becomes a skin scent and after 2 hours it's barely detectable. It's a summer scent, very versatile, mostly for the day. It needs a lot of heat to project properly. Overall, this is just an amazing opening but nothing more. I can't justify the 140€ price for something that doesn't last. I would rather go for something like Guerlain Homme edp which has this cocktail vibe, it's opening isn't so breathtaking but lasts a lot of time and costs 4 times less.

The biggest compliment that I can give Mint Tonic is that it totally, utterly does smell like its namesake. In true, respectable mid-market niche fashion. You are putting a refreshingly bitter and crackly tonic water with a sprig of mint and a couple ice cubes right up to your lips. Very small inflection of rose and sprite in the drydown. Satisfyingly simple. The problem is, I’m smelling it next to a rival in a similar price bracket You or Someone Like You and it gets beat out. Feels very dull in comparison. This feels more like a worksafe scent for guys who don’t want to be noticed. 7.6/10

I thought the opening of this was great,smelled like opening a cold bottle of Sprite..extremely refreshing,unfortunately it dies down in a few mins and I’m left with a skin scent that has no personality,like an unscented deodorant spray.

Amazing opening, dissapointing drydown.

I bought a sample of this perfume to test since I’m searching for a good mint fragrance. It opens up with hint of mint, no citrus on my skin, then dries down to a soapy clean aquatic scent with geranium strong, zero ginger, and quickly becomes a musky fresh scent. Nice but not what I want. Mint is not the main note the herbal geranium scent is strongest. This is a skin scent on me with no scent trail that faded fast within an hour. I’m not into herbal scents so I changed scents once this faded after 2 hours. No idea why they called this Mint & Tonic because it isn’t boozy scent or minty in any way.

The opening of this scent is really beautiful, you get a sparkling mint and lime note that really feels uplifting and energizing. I wish I could capture those notes around me for a little more time. The drydown is pleasant but somewhat generic, and then it goes skin scent for probably 2-3 hours before disappearing. Perfect scent but very short lived. I still think it would great for going to the gym or to relax after a long day of work, or for any situation you want to feel clean and energized without offending others.

It’s a shower type scent. Great to spray on after and feel fresh but does not last at all. Tbh I feel like Atkinsons is a no from me. Shame as they create very interesting and unique scents but literally NONE last. I have tried multiple and I give up

The people who say that this is a clone of M. Micallef's GNTONIC (2023)...HOW is this the "clone fragrance" when Mint & Tonic (2018) came out first? It really shows that it's all about names and popularity with many ppl regarding fragrances.
