Rose in Wonderland

In my quest to find the perfect rose perfume, I explored many beautiful interpretations of the flower, including Eau Rose Eau de Parfum, Infusion de Rose, Rosa Moceniga, and À la Rose. While each offered its own charm, none captured exactly what I had been searching for until I discovered Rose in Wonderland. This is the rose of my dreams: it feels sparkling, dewy, and crisp, with a natural green freshness that keeps it elegant and restrained. It has the same polished, "well-bred" quality that draws you to fragrances like À la Rose and Infusion de Rose, but with a character that is even more ethereal and aristocratic. It avoids the syrupy sweetness that often dominates modern rose fragrances, instead presenting the flower in a fresh, luminous, and refined manner. The rose feels weightless yet distinctive, as if touched by morning dew and carried on a gentle breeze. There is an aristocratic quality to this fragrance that sets it apart. Wearing it evokes the image of a graceful Victorian-era lady strolling through a blooming garden, poised and impeccably dressed. Sophisticated without being aloof and romantic without being overly sweet, Rose in Wonderland is the closest I have come to finding my ideal rose perfume.

Rose in Wonderland is a fantastic name for a feminine fragrance. Makes me dream about a better world... The juice itself is a very realistic, syrupy sweet, dark rose. This is how I imagine it, a deep, rich burgundy rose, in full bloom towards the end of the summer. The currant bud and geranium really shine in here, it offers the rose richness and nuance, while the amber from the base makes it feel warm and cozy. It has some layers and some substance, it’s definitely not just a simple rose scented water! I don’t think I need this because I am not huge on rose fragrances and because I already own several rose centred fragrances amongst which Atomic Rose, my all time favourite rose fragrance with an amazing performance. While Rose in Wonderland is a beautiful creation around rose with some supporting notes, the performance is less impressive compared to Atomic Rose. Nonetheless, utterly feminine and beautiful scent. Like an English rose... I find this scent very comparable with Nina Ricci L’Extase EDP, which if you can get it, it’s a fraction of the price of Rose in Wonderland.

This is what I remember my mom smelling like when she went to work when I was a child, very elegant and sophisticated and classy. True to its name, the rose is definitely the star here with just the right touch of green notes. When I got this bottle, I actually ordered another one and gave it to her. I reckoned it would give her the same nostalgia as it did me. Whenever I wear this, I feel like one of those rich women pictured in magazines, with the lovely hair, the trendy bag and glasses, and the gorgeous dress out to brunch on a Sunday morning. Definitely a more formal fragrance than something you would wear if you had a shirt and sneakers on. Love at first smell.

I don't understand the negative reviews about it being simple. Not being complicated does not equal being linear or bad. Making a high-quality rose scent is not an easy task, I suppose, considering how precious and valuable real rose oil is. Comparing it to rose water is unjust. This is rose oil. To me, this is the spring/summer version of Frederic Malle's Une Rose (Rose Tonnerre): Rose Tonnerre is the nighttime vampire version; this is when you dare come out of your coffin in spring 😄 If you love Rose Tonnerre and, overall, a REALISTIC rose without muskiness, added fruitiness, sweetness etc, you will fall in love with this.

Beautiful, sweet and delicate rose. I truly find this one outstanding and the most feminine amongst all the rose perfumes out there. A rose perfume is like poetry about love. You know that millions of love poems exist but then you read one that somehow hits different, that tells you something about that mundane topic, like you never heard before. For me Rose in Wonderland is like this. It is not a complicated one, but a fairytale about a rose that is very well balanced and done perfectly. I agree that its a bit similar to Á la Rose by MFK.
