Mr Maritime

First of all, before I get into anything, WOW this is a unique freshie, I never would've thought Aromatics (in the form of Rhubarb in this), would've went so well with Mango, this is easily in My top 3 summer/fresh fragrances of all time as of reviewing this. It opens up with a fresh citrus and the fruitiness of the Mango is on full display while being supported by a faint watercress which is quite pleasant, as it dries down, the Mango barely dies down, and the Rhubarb comes in for one of the most refreshing scent profiles I've experienced thus far, it's hard to explain but this fragrance is fresh, uplifting, airy, and smooth all simultaneously, and unlike countless other fragrances I've smelt *cough cough Mango Skin*, the Mango in this scent lasts throughout 90% of the lifetime and not just the opening. In terms of projection it's a loud to medium projection on my skin for atleast 2 hours and then settles down to a medium projecting scent for the remaining lifetime, of which it lasts around 8-[ hours on my skin which is amazing, this also leans heavily masculine to me personally but I wouldn't be opposed to a woman rocking this. Overall I think this is definitely worth a try (as I'm against blind buying), but if you do get a full bottle of this, for the quality of this freshie, it's an absolute bargain, another great release from Omar/Atrium. Final Verdict 9.8/10

What a great summer fragrance! This one starts out very citrusy with a burst of green mango, bergamot & rhubarb. Fresh & sweet without every being sugary or headache inducing. This is a more palatable mango, not a super ripe or overly sweet mango like you find in something like God of Fire but a slightly tart mango that you can almost taste, never too loud or overbearing and it is perfectly blended with the rhubarb. Aquatic notes sit just behind these opening scents giving it a bright, summer ready feel. However it's the dry down where this one truly shines... Is it mango? Yes. Is it rhubarb? Yes. Is it aquatic? Yes. But the star of the show, at least for me is the tonka bean. Yes, this is how tonka should be done, rich and creamy but not too in your face like you find in other fragrances such as AHS Eau Extreme and much more suited to warm summer weather. The way it is presented and plays along with the sandalwood give this fragrance an amazing wearing experience to what could easily have been a very linear and unremarkable fragrance. Great perfumery on this one! Overall 9/10, spring & summer scent, full bottle worthy. 8-10 hours longevity with a medium-loud projection.

This is a true work of art with all of the qualities I look for in a niche fragrance: a non-alcoholic opening, a smooth yet complete transition from top notes to bottom notes, and a unique/creative scent profile. I do wish the Mr. Maritime bottle was white or cloudy instead of clear. In my opinion, the clear bottle lacks a certain "je ne sais quoi." The mango and rhubarb are major players here, but all of the top and mid notes work together to create a sweet and sour (tropical?), fruity, aquatic, fragrance. Once the fruit fades you are left with a classic woody base supported with amber. Truly a work of art. The performance on my skin is unfortunately weak, the beauty is in the scent profile. Atrium's atomizers are a bit strange to me. Not sure if it is custom-made or if they get it from a general supplier but it feels like the vaporizer has trouble spraying uniformly. Not sure how to describe this issue, it's almost like a water sprinkler on a bottle; throttling the release of the liquid. Instead of getting squirts or sprays, I get an unusual mixture of both. Does anyone else have this issue? Is this by design? My Mr. Fragrant bottle is the same way.

I just received my bottle today, USA, and it really meets all my expectations, at least for an initial observation. Truly, the mango is the star of the show. Its presence remains well into the dry down. For me it is more fruity than aquatic but it really is a great summer fragrance. The fruits are light, the whole fragrance is light. Sweet but not too sweet. "Fresh" really sums this fragrance up in one word. Although it is summer here, I wore this in a comfortable climate controlled setting. Not a projection beast but it did remain with me through out the work day. I suspect that had I been outside it would have pushed out more in the heat. Lastly, I'm not a fan of comparing fragrances to other fragrances but in this case there is no need to, I feel that this is a stand alone fragrance. Looking forward to more from Atrium. I have their three releases so far and this one is my favorite.

I'm a huge fan of this so far. I was just so intrigued by the note breakdown, and was like "mango? rhubarb? I HAVE to get this!!!" and it has turned out quite well in the first day. It smells great in climate controlled, but seems to push out with more projection in the heat. I really enjoy it, it may be new for me, but I keep catching myself going for sniffs of it. The mango and rhubarb is just really well done with the entire drydown. I'll have some fun with it and then save it if it's only going to be released once :) I try and keep myself from getting backup bottles of stuff and spending way more than I already do on fragrances lol but I do plan to get Omar's other two releases, they sound like they are good.

An exquisite spring and summer scent. Reminds me of Curaçao Bay by Jacques Fath, with green mango instead of quite as much coconut, and also of Creed’s Erolfa. Percival is another one that comes to mind, but Mr. Maritime is of course more aquatic, more reminiscent of beach and suntan lotion and summer. Fresh, natural, well blended. A great value given that this smells expensive, more niche than designer. After just a day wearing it (its performance is good, too) it has quickly become one of my 3-4 favorite summer scents. I still love Elysium and Sedley (how could one not?) but I’m very impressed with this. Absolutely worth trying. Congrats to Omar for producing this. Clearly a labor of love.

People call this unique, and I guess it doesn't remind me of a particular perfume I've smelled before, but it's nothing groundbreaking. That said, it smells very nice. Mango and rhubarb are the stars here, making it very fruity, bright, and give it a sort of sharp sweetness. I would call it more "tropical" than "aquatic," both genres I love (Pacific Rock Moss and Virgin Island Water are two of my favorite fragrances; this smells like neither). I would buy a backup bottle, but I don't know if it makes sense to.

I agree with everyone talking about the refreshing mango note, but I really want to highlight how well-blended the tonka bean is in the drydown. At first spray, I was not won over and felt like it came off a bit alcoholic and harsh, but after thirty minutes or so I was left with a really pleasant and unique fruity summer scent. The mango combined with the tonka bean makes this frag so smooth, and I'm glad I preordered it. I can only imagine how much more I'll enjoy this the more I use it. Love it.

The sweet mango combined with the tart rhubarb make this a warm weather winner. It stands apart from other summer fragrances that overly rely on citrus. Now, would I call it maritime? No. To me, it is very tropical and slightly gourmand as I can almost taste the mango. It is unisex as my partner says she loves wearing it too. Mr. Maritime is distinctive and can be worn casually and to the office. I would call this an excellent offering with good performance and projection.

Mango powerhouse! This is a beastly fresh tropical fragrance. I am picking up another bottle of this I absolutely love the mango citrus mixture going on. I advise caution when spraying this because it can get cloying in hot and humid weather. This has to be Omar's most powerful fragrance yet. I have all 3 releases so far and enjoy them all. Get a bottle of this while you can!

This is the best of the line so far. It opens up with a juicy and prominent mango note. This silage and projection is very good for a summer scent. The fruitiness lasts throughout the wear, but the marine and creamy notes start to come through after a couple of hours. Great scent and fantastic for the summer.

I had to get me a backup bottle since it’s a limited release. I picked up a few samples but this one automatically stood out to me. Long lasting with some depth. Fits right in my collection as I don’t own anything like it. Overall, Omar did a great job on this one. 10/10

I'm very surprised to be honest. I was worried because I've never smelt mango in a fragrance before, but this is balanced, fresh, absolutely amazing. This is definitely going to be my secret weapon for the summer. Nobody else is gonna smell like this. Hmu to get 10% off

The mango and rhubarb coming in strong off the top was something unique and interesting to me for sure - I wasn't quite ready for it and didn't love it right away, but it's grown on me after a few wears. Nice and fresh with a touch of sweetness, it dries down to a more basic amber/woods... somehow a hint of that mango sticks around for a long time. I didn't really pick up distinct marine notes. Well blended and natural smelling. Performance is pretty good for me with longevity at 7-8 hours, but relatively weak projection... it sits close mostly. I expected this thing to be a bit more beastly at extrait de parfum strength. Bottle could be nicer it's just a clear bottle with a white sticker; it'd be cooler to have a painted bottle like the black ones. Atomizer is pretty bad for a fragrance this good - might wanna look into that one, Omar. Very solid fragrance overall though, nice work!

I think this is a great unique scent that could work well for most people. I love the dry-down but I wish the opening was more sweet. I get a lot of minty, sage, mango in the opening so it smells a bit sharp and not as smooth as it could be. I think a bit juicier mango with more aquatic notes would make this a masterpiece. It has moderate sillage with great longevity especially for a summer scent. Worth a try

In the begging I noticed the marine notes, slowly mature to bitter mango. Later on dry down leads similar to TDH H24 Parfum & Kaff by Tiziana Terenze. 😞😐. Super unique dry down when comes to base notes. I do smell that rich Amber smell. I'd rate this 6/10 since it reminds me above 2. Thanks Omar (SchoolofScent) for this amazing product.

Omar did well! This reminds me significantly of SHL god of fire with the main differences being that Mr maritime is an aquatic slightly tart mango and god of fire is a tropical sweet juicy mango with a woody base. An amazing summer fragrance which I prefer over god of fire as I find god of fire too sweet.

This in my view is Cocktails & Catamarans rebottled for the uk/European marker, lovely summer fragrance, especially with the Mango opening, so if you can't get hold of Cocktails & Catamarans(Original) get this

I'm not getting any of the mango, bergamot or anything remotely fruity/tropical. It smells like a very soapy clean woddy/floral fragrance? Moreso like a general office fragrance than a dedicated summer fragrance. The dry down is nice less soapy and more woody floral, but really disappointing and not what I expected. Sample before you buy

I am disappointed... I wanted to like this so much... mango seems like such an interesting note, one not used very often in perfumery. I can’t tell you the blend is all too great, the longevity is good... especially if you spray it on your shirt, and you do get that mango smell, but the blend... my problem is the blend, I don’t think it’s a great blend, I would’ve added more vanilla and toned down the mango a bit... it has potential, but it feels unfinished, just a bit too harsh and abrasive. I’m really disappointed, I never got the decant to try it out, not that that would’ve done anything, as I live in another country where atrium doesn’t deliver and I had to have a third party bring it to me. I love the idea of a limited run niche perfume, but it’s just not there... I would stick to maybe 2 well done perfumes a year, and not overreach too much... this could’ve been a great perfume, but it’s not really there. I would’ve much rather spent my $100+ on a replacement to my Chanel Allure Homme Sport. Sorry Omar.. love your channel, didn’t love your perfume.

I have to come back to this after a previous review. This is NOT worth the money, there are few bad reviews from me, but I dislike this perfume. I previously said that this smells like a Victoria’s Secret Mango hand lotion that I’ve smelled from my sister, and this still holds true... you don’t get many mango notes in perfumery, which sounds cool, but this, to me, is not a well executed perfume. It annoys me especially because of how hard it was for me to get, and how disappointed I was. If you can get a sample, do that, but the full bottle is definitely not worth the money.

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. As another reviewer said get a sample first. I did and am very thankful I didn’t buy a whole bottle. Out of all my fragrances and everything else I’ve put my nose on this is by far and I mean far the worst. It’s so bad my girlfriend told me to throw it out as soon as she smelled it with a screwed up look on her face. Any cheap $5 fragrance is better than this abomination

This is Atriums 3rd release. Straight of the top its fresh and citrus. The initial scent is a "whack" of freshness and mango, then once it settles the "whack" reduces and i am left with a solid fresh citrus aroma. It lasts a long time on my skin (around 6-8 hours but it does deplete). When i wore this aftershave i found out that the females around me gave this a solid 9 / 10 all the time. It would appear that females find this more attracticive and interesting that Mr Romantic (Atriums 2nd release). This is a spring / summer fragrance, very good in the office or daytime out and about, definately not a winter or autumn fragrance (maybe Atriums next release will cover autunm or winter). Overall a good solid aftershave, would i purchase it again when i use it all? Yes i would. A definate safe spring summer aftershave.

I think with fragrances like this from well known creators in the fragrance community, the ratings never truely tell an accurate story. It seems like people either downvote or upvote based on him being a youtuber, instead of the quality of the fragrance. I recommend actually ordering a sample of them and not just blind buying.

Honestly, this is a mango twist on Chanel AHS edition Blanche (instead of lemon) mixed with AHS & then made even a little less designer-y/synthetic smelling This is basically a mango edition blanche but with better performance. Is it exactly that? No but based on that you can figure out how you’d feel about this

Yeah you get a nice tart mango and rhubarb opening that’s honestly addictive, dries down to a ambery clean clothes type of scent. Honestly if i didn’t have a decent collection this would be a staple but I am looking to pass this on lmk if you’re interested.
