Gold Sunset

The initial impression was jarring. The pepper and cardamon note stood out the most for me. As it dried down, I really got the spice and incense notes with the water notes mixed in made me think an evening in a park near a church. Not sure I've ever done that, but it was like sitting near a lake with some midnight mass going on behind me. Finally the dry down with the green earthy vanilla base that SAT on my skin for hours. This was an interesting fragrance, really does make me think of sunsets in the summer, although I think this scent could be worn in any season. I won't spend the money for a full bottle, but a very unique experience that I will revisit to see if I change my mind. To note, this was very oily for me, left a film on my skin. So keep that in mind when applying and the clothes you wear.

Looking at these notes I thought this could be the tuberose perfume I'm looking for, but after testing it - it's like all of the notes that I wish were in the forefront are in the background, and all the notes I wish were in the background are in the forefront. So basically I mostly get: cardamom, pink pepper, incense, papyrus. I wish I was feeling more of the ginger, tuberose, vanilla, sandalwood. So overall this comes off less sweet and floral than I'd like, pushing this closer to a dry fragrance in unisex territory. The quality smells really nice. This house uses fine ingredients. So I just wish I could find more compositions that really speak to me. I own Velvet Morganite and love it. Would like to find more from them if I can. I will keep testing.

Have you ever gone to the beach at night? The sand is fresh, caresses your feet, and is comforting at the same time... Gold Sunset is like this: spicy and fresh at the start and warm and sensual in the heart: you can particularly feel the tuberose, labdanum and light aquatic notes, with a creamy and sweet drydown. I'm not a tuberose lover in this sense, but for those who are, it's certainly a very pleasant perfume to wear. Always high durability and sillage,in my opinion exceptional in the warmer seasons.

Something about this feels familiar. I can not quite put my nose on it. But it opens with bright citrus and cardamom. There is a kind of watery and fruity quality that makes it interesting with a hint of powdery tuberose lingering in the back. It doesnt quite remind me of Carnal Flower as it isnt as dense or milky. But I can appreciate the restraint in the use of tuberose and commend them for that.

Few brands choose names as accurately as Attar Al Has. Golden Sunset truly captures the feeling of warm golden light at dusk. Bergamot, aquatic notes and tuberose work in perfect harmony, with none of them trying to dominate. If I wanted a tropical fragrance, this is exactly the kind I'd choose.
