Tubereuse Rosee

not amazing,as someone else said, the combo of tuberose, rose and ylang smells like gardenia with a little sandalwood; this is not a musk bomb as people mention, not sure what they are smelling. Bought this from a perfume store; so, not counterfeit. She got them from the perfume house. This is basically, a green, sweet yet dry tuberose. People who smell great in neroli and tuberose probably will love it. My skin seems to eat it. I do better with dark, heavy frags. In the summer, the tuberose was more prominent. It is very pretty.

This one does what it says on the tin. Tuberose and rose in what I find to be almost equal measure, backed up by a base of ylang-ylang, sandalwood and musk. I think that the ylang-ylang in particular takes me back to the early 90's scent-wise, it was a ubiquitous fragrance component during that era, particularly in combination with sandalwood. Soft, sensual, silky. Very enjoyable, this. 2013? I would never have guessed. Recommended, but the bottle does not suit the style of this fragrance at all!

The top notes smell like synthetic gardenia, a little sharp and harsh, but the scent softens considerably as it enters the heart phase- it stayed with me for more than 12 hours today, soft but persistent- the more it develops, the better I like it- I'm not picking up on the rose at all, just white flower bliss~ It's like a softer version of Kim Kardashian-

Ok. There's no mention of civet in here. But I can't figure this out... when I first spray this on, I get a distinct smell of cat urine. It's unmistakable. Cat urine. For the first 5 minutes. Then it fades away to a lovely creamy scent of tuberose. It's almost like that urine scent enhances the tuberose but it comes out on its own in the top notes and it makes me want to scrub it off. I can't say this is something I like. I work in a vet's office so I'm no stranger to cat urine odor. I don't want a perfume that reminds me of cleaning litter boxes. But it is a total shame because when you get to the middle notes this is pretty lovely and one of the better tuberose scents on the market.

I was about to give up hope of liking anything from this line until I tried this beauty. This is one of the freshest, most realistic "live flower" tuberose scents I have ever smelled. It smells fresh and soft, almost a bit citrusy, but I think those notes come from the ylang, which is gorgeous with the tuberose. The spices, wood and rose reveal themselves softly and slowly after an hour or so on skin. The musk and amber keep the scent reasonably strong with moderate sillage. The sandalwood is really lovely, not too strong, a perfect balance for the tuberose. The tuberose is the soprano and the sandalwood the bass voice. Together with the other notes they perform in perfect harmony, a concerto with tuberose as the star. This is FB worthy in my opinion. I must add, that every time I wear this, I fall in love with it all over again. To my nose, it's what Fracas could be if it were more natural and fresher smelling.

I read reviews about Tubereuse Rosee and bought it blind. I know it is not wise. But the reviews said tuberose and rose. How bad that can be? But...a disappointment...on my skin the scent is not tuberose and rose but clean musk. Musk overpowers every other note. Tuberose is there but faint. Rose is even fainter. The smell is clean lightly floral musk. Reminds me of the smell of the swimming suit after getting off the pool...clean, a bit of chlorine. This effect has to be brought up by my skin. The first time I tried the scent it changed after some time gaining some warmth (sandalwood?) and faint vanilla scent. The second time I did not notice that so clearly. Well, I will give this perfume to my mom and hope her skin will bring up the flowers as in the reviews. Before giving this perfume away I think I will give it one more chance after summer...I will return to this review then.

More of a gardenia than tuberose. This is white floral, soft ylang, and roses. It has roses, tuberose, gardenia, musk, ylang, sandalwood, & blueberries as you will sense the sweetness right after 10 minutes in. It begins quite superb with an amazing doses of white floral, but later goes quite synthetic when the berries get in as the white floral kind of vanish and the berries conquers. well.. MEH!

The main note I smell is gardenia for the first 5-10 minutes. Then it calms down and the sandalwood and musk make their appearance. I like it, but not more than I like EB Floras Regal Tuberose. Overall, this is a nice fragrance, but very similar to others on the market and not enough of a wow factor to make it stand out.
