Land of Tulips

Land of Tulips reminds me of a trip I took to Vienna, and we visited Schönbrunn Palace and walked around in the gardens. That's exactly what this perfume smells like. Like walking through a castle garden. Beautiful.

A watercolor florally, light and dewy. There is also a fleeting first impression of powdery violet.

Very weak and intimate sillage. Smells as powdery as a standard violet perfume, and actually has molecular facets that smell similar to what is used to make violet scent. I get a very earthy mineral smell, similar to how violet smells and the musk adds a slight baby powderyness. The floral notes also smell like fleshy plump juicy petals. There's a hint of damp forest floor in the fall and crisp woods. The overall vibe is comforting and powdery. It would be a nice night scent especially if you find too strong of fragrance bothersome at bedtime. I can't speak on how much it smells like a tulip other than both the flower and perfume barely have any scent at all, which is par and part of why I have no memory of what a tulip is actually suppose to smell like, despite it formerly being my favorite flower at a point in time. I can say that the smell of freesia is there if you search for it, but becomes increasing apparent as the wear goes on until its presence is very obvious hours into the wear. A skin scent from beginning to end. This is one of the weakest perfume I've ever encountered.

It's wonderful to discover new things through scents, to broaden your views. This fragrance is called “Land of Tulips” and I immediately asked myself why. Well, Kazakhstan is the land where tulips first appeared, about ten million years ago. Their name comes from the Tolip, a headdress that seems to look like this wonderful flower. I love the tulip, it gives me serenity, for me it is one of the most beautiful representations of nature. This fragrance is extremely delicate and elegant floral, clean, almost soapy at the start, which leaves room for a very delicate, spring floral bouquet, without ever losing its identity. I really liked it as a fragrance, I find it gentle and refined, a hint of wonderfully colored spring, perhaps pastel colours. “Tulip Field” painted by Vincent Van Gogh.

I am so surprised this does not have a violet note. It is so elegant and powdery. If you've ever smelled the Guerlain Meteorites powder pearls it smells just like that, but with a more watery, dewy floral lean. Such a soft, dignified, almost virginal scent, it smells exactly like spring.
