Love

I just bought this perfume oil and really love it. I remember buying the Auric Blends' perfume roller balls from a health food store years ago, and then they stopped carrying them, but I recently found them again online. The Love oil is really pretty. It reminds me of a freshly washed baby. I feel like I'm in a super clean bubble when I wear it. I don't get a lot of projection because it's an oil, but it's there if you know what I mean? This perfume oil is completely non-offensive, and I feel it's a safe blind buy at around $10.00 dollars. I know I'm going to reach for this one a lot. Probably more than my more expensive perfumes. This is what I have on right now, and I almost feel like I'm carrying around a secret. The oil seems precious to me somehow. Maybe because it's not obtrusive and I don't smell it on other people. I feel like I have a little treasure - something like love itself.

I am in shock at how good this is. I bought what I am assuming is the original formulation with the dream catcher packaging. The amber is definitely front and center here. It’s a warm, honeyed, rich amber. I layered this with Kenneth Cole for her straight out of the shower and it’s just perfect for a cozy fall night. I can envision that this oil would be outstanding to layer with a multitude of perfumes. Love is named accurately as someone else mentioned. There’s something very sensual and carnal about this scent. There’s something sentimental too that I am picking up, something from my childhood that I can’t pinpoint. This lasts an insane amount of time. I could smell it for 10+ hours. The projection is interesting . It’s intimate but it lingers to seduce your senses periodically throughout the wear time. I’m curious to try more Auric Blends.

This was my favorite for a super long time, though the formula has recently changed. I’m hoping it’s a temporary thing, as so many products have gone through changes during the pandemic. It’s a white amber based musk with clean linen and 70’s beach vibes. There are a lot of companies that attempt the same, but nothing compares to Love by Auric Blends, as it was last year, I should say. I did buy solids recently that were made with the old version, but the solids are much milder in strength (might work for people with allergies). The roller projects really well, lasts all day, and the cost is a fraction of what other brands ask. I’m going to a local store that has some from last year to stock up soon. I’ll try to order again in the future and will update if I find that the formula is back on track :)

The more I'm getting into oils lately, the more I am reaching for them over my really expensive niche fragrances. First of all, scents like Love are just so easy and comforting to wear. There's a reason why these scents from companies like Auric Blends have stood the test of time. Love is very aptly named...it smells like cuddling a newborn baby. To me, it literally is reminiscent of that warm, soft, cuddly, ever-so-slightly sweet smell that emanates from a newborn baby's head. Whenever I catch whiffs of it it just makes my heart lift a little bit. Love is a big-time love!

This is one of my all time favorites! It’s a lovely musk with white amber, powder, light florals and light woody notes. I discovered it at the Garden of Eden boutique in Minnesota back in 2016. The description above isn’t accurate, it’s been around longer than that! I was wearing it on a trip to Wyoming in 2018 and at a restaurant a waitress stopped me and asked if I was wearing Love! She said she’s been wearing it for 20 years and has never met anyone but me who has also worn it. It’s a very special perfume!

I love this one so much. It’s my “don’t overthink it” scent. It’s a lovely soft floral, slightly powdery scent. I feel like every woman should have this scent in their collection. You can’t expect projection from this rollerball but it lasts on the skin for a few hours. It’s so soft and feminine. It’s not attention seeking but it’s something that would make people get close to you and inhale you. Love is a scent I will never get tired of.

I love this fragrance! I have been buying it for over 15 years. It has a comforting, baby, bubbly skin scent smell. A very gentle and feminine musk. This scent is nostalgic, soothing, and comforting-like a warm bubble bath or being wrapped up in a fresh, soft blanket.

Glossier, You dupe. It's a clean laundry musk that leans masculine and has a pear note (or something else aquatic). I plan on layering it under other perfumes. It has an addictive quality to it as well, like you'll want to bury your face in it.

I bought a roll-on of this at a grocery store 20+ years ago. It's been a staple ever since. Absolutely lovely. Seductive, warm, comfy, and easy to wear. It's just beautiful. I feel most like myself when I wear this.

What missing person from phlur should have been. Love is a delicate baby-powder scent that lingers beautifully on the skin.

This is a very soft fuzzy white musk. It smells clean and feminine to me. This is a perfume oil, so it doesn't project off the skin very far, but it will give you a nice intimate scent bubble. It's not incredibly unique, but its a pretty scent. I don't necessarily "love" it, but I do like it. I think the name love may make someone imagine something different, because we tend to think of love as romantic love which may lead us to imagine a scent that is more sexy or that would attract someone, but I think this scent evokes warm feelings of comfort (like a warm blanket) so perhaps this scent is the feeling of already being in love and loved. Haha it's really not that deep, but a nice scent overall.

When you first apply it you can detect a hint of floral and a touch of some kind of spice, but it fades immediately to a white amber musk type of a scent. I can see the comparisons to Nemat White Amber; I think they both have that ambroxen/ salty/metallic-like thing going on. I don’t smell any Egyptian Goddess/ Egyptian Musk in this. However this has been around since the 90s, not 2019 as listed here.

I recently picked this up at a local shop. It's a very easy to wear somewhat sweet musk with some amber undertones. In general I'm not a big musk lover, but this one is really pretty and very comforting. It's also very inexpensive and worth a blind buy if you like clean musks. I know this is marketed to men and women, but I'm not sure I'd like to smell this on a guy....just my personal preference.

This reminds me a LOT of the original version of Glossier's You - back when it was really good. I love it but it's so muted that I had to really over-apply it to get the effect. I cannot get over the beautiful softness and warmth of this. Since it's so affordable, I plan to stock up and just slather it on so that it actually emanates more.

Smells like baby oil, then fades to baby powder

Blegh. Straight baby powder. Smells exactly like white musk by the body shop to me. Nothing like Glossier You!

This is lovely. It starts off straight baby powder (which I don’t like) but settles in to a really nice, deep, woody freshness. I put this on this morning and went to the pool. Before getting in the pool I went in the bathroom and changed, was in the pool for 2 hrs, then went back in the same bathroom to change again, and the smell in that bathroom was devine! It was deep and woody with a light musk; I was grateful to be able to smell it as an outsider, with the scent I’d been wearing washed away. This was magic! I will say, this is certainly in the same category as Glossier You, but it’s not a similar scent. ETA: turns out I was wrong about not liking powder, I LOVE powder.

The original formula was my signature scent in High School and college. The reformulation smells awful compared to what it once was. I can see the OG smelling similar to Glossier You, but Nemat Amber is the closest dupe I’ve discovered so far. I would pay a good amount of money to purchase the old one again. Soft, sensual, musky and floral. Feminine perfection. The new one is completely different, like baby powder mixed with cheap incense. I should have stocked up on the good stuff when I had the chance.

Love is gorgeous for any time of day. The fragrance description: A soft musk with notes of White Amber, Woods, and a touch of Auric Blends Egyptian Goddess.. and that’s exactly how it smells. The amber and woodsy notes are blended well with the fragrance notes of Egyptian Goddess. It’s warm and seductive at the same time. I adore this fragrance!!!

The drydown is almost identical to Glossier You. I think Love is much nicer at the beginning, as Glossier has quite a fusty peppery beginning which takes a while to settle, whilst Love goes straight on with a fresh warmth.

I just tried a sample of this today. It is nothing like Kuumba Made Persian Gardens or Nemat Amber. It is a dupe for Kuumba Made Egyptian Musk, but less potent.
