Aqua for Her

I hunted down a bottle on eBay, as I love Blue Escape and was dying to try Aqua. Honestly, I can't distinguish between the two. Perhaps, when I try one on my right arm and the other on the left simultaneously, I may be able to perceive a slight difference, but I have my doubts. If the description of Aqua didn't specify it was a flanker, I would honestly believe that it was simply a different bottle and name for a foreign release of Blue Escape. (To be honest, I'm not totally convinced that this isn't the case, as it wouldn't be the first time that differently named Avon releases of the same perfume were redundantly listed with slightly different notes and descriptions on Fragrantica.) In other words, if you're having trouble finding Aqua, don't bother continuing your quest, and definitely don't pay more to order it off eBay, if you have easy access to Blue Escape. They are both salty ocean goodness in a bottle.

Within seconds of spraying Aqua, an unpleasant alcohol smell emerges. Though, very fortunately, it vanishes just as quickly as it had arrived. This somewhat abrupt beginning is followed by something almost berry-like. But that is also gone within moments. Leaving behind a deep, rich, salty note. And this is what Aqua is at its most prominent. Rich and salty. Is it sea air? Not quite. There's a vivid element of pretense to it. On my skin, it conjures images of sea and seaweed gathered up in glass jars. All of the minerals, and grains of sand, accumulated at the bottom. It's an impression of the sea, of course it is, but it's an obvious one. Light and airy lotus is listed as a heart note here, but this manifests very deeply on me. Those skies are assuredly darker. Perhaps, it's a stormy day, with the faintest of sweetness. Though, I can't escape the feeling that this is like remembering the sea, rather than experiencing the sea itself. Worth a try. And, although it doesn't leave a lasting impression, I've still managed to work my way through a bottle.

like all Avon perfumes start with sting powerful alcohol smell. I did not get the vibe of sea nor aqua it is cheap fresh fruity summer fragrance but that is it nothing more

Very fresh as a sea breeze but staying power is literally minutes not hours. Nothing to die for, very simple and unpretentious.

Hm ok.. it isn't that fruity in my opinion is more floral.. I can easilly smell salt but there isnt salt in ingredients... Good perfume for morning, light not long lasting disappears in few minutes... Not my type.

Whilst I've never appreciated aquatic fragrances (apart from New West in the 1980s), ,and never liked Cool Water, I think I like his Avon this one. Aquatic fragrances never seem to suit my mood strangely. Then again i hate the hot weather. I think the difference my be the Lotus, I think it lifts it for me. I'm going to get all my aquatic type perfumes out including EA Mediterranean to see if they work for me in cooler weather rather than the summer. Aquatic fragrances just get lost on me, I keep buying them thinking maybe this one will work.

Fruity, fresh, aquatic, sweet and floral; Aqua is on the same line with Davidoff Cool Water fragrances. This is an ideal light perfume for summer.

Initial blast was a beautiful aquatic scent, which disappeared very fast indeed and then just became melon. Unfortunatly I don't like melon :(

Does anyone have this? I can't find it anywhere.
