Far Away Infinity

Far Away Infinity gives the impression of a fruity candied jasmine, what with all the vanilla, jasmine, gardenia, and orange blossom. It's an absolutely sweet and fetching scent, reminding me, almost, of tropical fruity bubble gum, but still on just this side of "perfume-y"/floral versus leaning gourmand. It's sweet, playful, and fun and very, very pretty. So far, I've tried the OG Far Away and Far Away Gold (which very much resemble each other, though I definitely prefer the thicker richness of FA Gold over the original), but Far Away Infinity is 100% my favorite. LOVE it!!! Edit: I was initially going to store FA Infinity with my jasmine scents but, after wearing it to bed last night, it dawned on me that it's more of a gardenia scent. Oftentimes, gardenia smells like candy, to me. Also, in trying to figure out what on earth it's reminiscent of -- that I own -- I sniffed some jasmines, orange blossoms, some tuberoses and gardenias, and then spritzed on Britney Spears Curious, a light magnolia/pear scent. FA Infinity doesn't have the same notes as Curious, for sure -- so doesn't really smell *like* it -- but it definitely shares that combo of candied vanilla flowers and, somehow, the intensity of it is the same. It also made me want to pull out my Byredo Sundazed sample to experience that lovely (cotton) candied neroli and citruses though, again, it will in no way smell "the same"... When my bottle of Elie Saab Le Parfum in White came, I realized how much it smells like Far Away Infinity!

Jasmine - Vanilla warm oriental clasiness. This is my favourite take on the Far Away line. Gorgeous, sofisticated, elegant, vibrant, powerful, sweet floriental. The fragrance a sexy & classy woman wears. Not so sharp as the original, I find it more easy to pull off but mind you this is still powerful. More suited for winter and autum, but still wearable on spring and even summer (though I would defintely save it for night time). Aproppiate for work at an office, but I find it too sofisticated for an every day use.. I would save it for meeting with special clients, job interviews, etc. Sexy enough for a romantic date, classy enough for a fancy restaurant. Not a fragrance for a teeen. This suits best a woman, makes you feel a woman, no matter if you just turned 25 or if you are 60.. you will surely feel more womanly, femenine, classy and powerful. What ́s more, I would even wear this to a wedding ! It ́s that good to me! I do have others that perform better, but if you don ́t I ́d say you ́re good to go with this one already... Bottle: looks pretty and feels luxurious, it ́s a 10 for me. Sillage: stunning! Monster sillage during the first cuople of hours, then continues at least at arms lengh. Longevity: 10 hours I ́d say.. this is an Eau de Toilette, you can ́t get better for the price !! This lasts and projects way better than other Jasmine designer fragrances, such as J ́adore by Dior. Highly recommended, will definitely repurchase when I run out of this gem !

This is my favorite fragrance from the Far Away collection. I wasn’t surprised to see that the perfumer was Honorine Blanc, as she balances gourmand and floral notes beautifully. The opening is soft and comforting, with gardenia and marigold creating a sweet, soapy effect. Then comes my favorite part of the fragrance: orange blossom and jasmine begin to shine over a light vanilla base, giving the composition a creamy and luminous character. It reminds me of fragrances such as Prada Paradoxe and Issey Miyake Lumiere D’Issey, but with a creamier take on orange blossom and a more prominent vanilla base. To be honest, I prefer Far Away Infinity because of its creamier floral character, the way the orange blossom never overwhelms the other notes, and the overall balance of the composition. I would even say it is better constructed than many fragrances in the same style. Its balanced nature also makes it suitable for year-round wear, although I enjoy it most in spring. I only wish Avon had kept the original bottle design. The older bottles looked much more classic and elegant. When the tassels disappeared from the caps, I had a feeling the bottle redesign would be next. As much as I love the scent, I use my current bottle sparingly because I have no desire to buy the new version. Its projection and longevity are also better than those of many far more expensive fragrances.

Well, you've read my previous review. I thought it was all that needed to be said. But no... How many times a year am I reminded that fragrance can 'grow' on a person? What catches me more by surprise, however, is when a good fragrance morphs into a great one, the change being either perception or weather! And in this case, probably a bit of both. Yes, I gave Far Away Infinity a wearing more than once, and each time it came off as sugar-cube sweet and therefore somewhat imbalanced on my skin. BUT. Now the weather is cooler and the days more arid. Presto - somehow I'm also smelling a lot more of the dry down, whether courtesy of spraying more or not spraying where the hand sani 'erases' what's applied, I don't know. WOW is there a difference. Still very sweet, very jasmine, but lightly balsamic. In addition on dry down my happy nose now smells: Powder, Vanilla, and slightly tangy Marigold!!! Bless, you Avon. You've done it again. Not only is this a good modern flanker of Far Away as previously noted, this is a good perfume, PERIOD. Not to mention I got a complement directly after spraying. ;) Now, hours later it's a soft, cozy, powdery dream. And an expensive smelling one at that. Five Stars <3

This is beautiful. It's been a while since I did a review, but since this is new, I know how much I depend on reviews so I wanted to put something out there. It was a blind buy based on the fact that I love Exotic and Gold, and it was successful. For around $10, this is a powerhouse! One spray is going strong nearly 5 hours later! It is the white florals that dominate this, but there is a presence of the citrus, sandalwood, and vanilla that really bring this together into something that is classy and mature. It's hot, and this smells great! I also imagine it would be great in the winter or in the spring. It's quite the classy summery scent that would work super well with a sundress and sandals, but it can be cozy as well. I can honestly see the comparisons to both Alien and Olympea. It's not a dupe for either, but it has a similar vibe to both and is comparable in quality IMHO. I think this is a very good summer scent! I still think I want to get Gold and Exotic, however, since they are very different scents from this.

LuLuGoes describes Avon Far Away Infinity very succinctly - thank you LuLu! It's definitely not a tangy marigold scent. I smell NO marigold at all, to be precise. Many of Avon's recent releases seem to be jasmine centered, and this would appear to be another. And a well done one, at that. Surprisingly, I find the sugared aspect a little too-too, even while the sillage and longevity (on me) are very nice indeed. Yes, there's a definite relation to Far Away original's DNA here; it's not imagined. Both are bold, beautiful, and perform well. I was testing Far Away original the same day and if anything Infinity seemed a little stronger! May be my chemistry, but I believe the strength is nothing to complain about for the price! Bottom Line - I love powder more than sugared jasmine petals, so I bought a full bottle of Far Away instead of Infinity. This is not a criticism, as I seldom admire flankers at all, and Infinity is lovely. :D Goodonya, Avon! UPDATE - See review above. Can hardly believe it!

OMG! I'm in love with this perfume. The scent smells much expensive than its price! I can't stop smelling my wrist after used. I can smell a hint of honey jasmine and sweet vanilla, and it's not cloying. The lasting is moderate and also its sillage, but I don't mind reapplying during the day. I think this is suitable for daytime. It's kind of a good office scent. You can blind buy it, and I am sure you'll like it. By the way, I've never tried Olympea before, but Faraway Infinity 2016 smells like Valentino Assoluto to me. One of my co-workers used to ask me if I wore Valentino Assoluto on that day, and I just didn't want to make them feel awkward because they are superfan of Valentino, Chanel, Hermes, Tom Ford and etc. So, I answered "Yes, it is Valentino, you are right!" If only they knew it's Avon Lol

Blind buy, but based on the fragrance notes I decided to pick up on this lovely perfume. I adore Jasmine and when done right, it always smells beautiful without feeling too strong to the point of having a headache (I have one pure jasmine scent perfume and I can hardly wear that). I don't normally wear or use Avon perfumes but they have upped their perfume game a lot in the recent years and with perfume priced to affordable, I'm happy to purchase this one. It is not an old woman scent - it's very elegant and feminine and has lovely jasmine and vanilla. Smells a bit sparkly on my skin as well (the bergamot I'm assuming). I can imagine continuing to use this in future. It's an all year round scent, more for summer I think than winter but will have to see how it fares when winter comes around. :)

I love Far Away, Far Away Gold and especially Infinity, which is lighter and more adequate to super hot climates (today is 100 F). They are different scents with FA and FAG closer in structure, with great longevity and sillage, FA is a "screamer" because it has great sillage and is a tuberose, ylang, coconut scent. Infinity is soft, but on me has great longevity , as a soft cloud, that is felt by everyone near but very lighly. Different propositions but excellent scents for very good price. Exotic, which was loved by many , because of the hot climate does not sit well on me, exotic and heavy notes have a way of "turning" (becoming rancid) on climates like the one I live, not only Avon FAE but many others, including Dior HP and other powerhouses.

'Paris in the springtime in a bottle.' Well here we go again. Another scent that made me nauseous at first spray a couple of years ago, and now BOOM love it. Don't get me wrong, I just can't stand sweet scents they just tend to give me headaches. However, even then I knew this was still a very well-made quality blended perfume it just wasn't 'my type' per se. But now I see all the hype around this beauty. Long lasting plus silage at arm's length with a powdery sweet and smooth dry down. The dry down is similar to original Far away but even nicer and more well-rounded. l really enjoy this on its own but LOVE this layered under the Far Away Gold another flanker of this legendary Far Away line by Avon. Just gorgeous.

This is why I will never make perfume. I put this on last night and thought it smelled familiar. I thought can it BE!? And sure enough, to my nose, this is very v e r y close to B&BW Charmed Life. Of course there's a bit of difference, but not enough for me tell if someone was wearing this or Charmed Life. I love this perfume! But Charmed Life lasts much longer, and is quite a bit stronger for a good bit! I also find this similar to Rihanna's Nude. To me, Nude is the more refined one. It's for any age and lovely on all. Charmed Life is the younger of the three. And Far Away Infinity is for the beach! All three of these might be related or at the very least, they're all best friends that kinda smell alike!

WOW! This could easily pass for a designer perfume! It actually smells like it could be a flanker of olympea. It doesn’t smell the same, but it smells like it’s from the same family of notes. Beautiful, soft and creamy. If I blindly smelt this I would easily put a £60+ price tag on it. The first time I wore it was on an evening out with friends, and so many people complimented me on it throughout the night. I got the set, which included the body cream, a 50ml perfume and a mini perfume purse spray. It is amazing when layered on with the body cream. I also love the original far away too and always wore it as a teenager. Far away infinity is one of my fave perfumes, it is very sophisticated and classy.

After absolutely falling in love with the original Far Away, I figured I had to have its flankers. My perfume arrived today. It has a clean, like minty, acidic start that I'm not a fan of, but it doesn't last long, soon beachy vibes and a beautiful vanilla mixed with the most femenine and comforting powder emerge. I love what AVON does to fragrances to make them smell powdery but delicate and cozy. And I thought I didn't like powdery fragrances, think again. These fragrances are so femenine, rich and soft. I'm glad I took a chance and included this treasures into my collection. I'm getting to a point where I look for more mature fragrances. I'm 26 years old. I don't wanna smell like froot loops.

This is honestly one of the most surprisingly delightful fragrances I've smelled in a while (...maybe a few months..). I don't know if I smell any floral notes but I get a wonderful vanilla patchouli sandalwood combo, with the teeniest bit of citrus. This smells so good! I can smell it every time I move and it's wonderful. I also think I get something like caramel or fudge of some kind, no idea what but I'm loving this Far Away Infinity. And this lasts and lasts and lasts...even through three hand washes it's still there. Forget the snobbery and just get a bottle. P.S. Avon, it's time to start offering bigger bottles of perfume for women. I would like to have this in a 3.4 ounce bottle. Thanks.

It is not a different formula, local Avon decides locally which concentration of extract the perfume will have (as it is one of the most expensive factors in the cost of the unit) and so the finished product will behave differently. There are different skins types and climate but FAI was made for hot weather and on my skin it lasts for over 12 hours although with a moderate/soft sillage. I love FAI on my skin, it is a lovely vanilla/jasmine combo, although quite fresh and not too sweet or heavy (Olympea, which I find the closest scent to FAI on my skin, can turn on hot temps to be quite cloying and FAI doesn't).

I do not get on with Avon Far Away, the traditional one. Sometimes I like it, but most of the time — not. I tried to compare it with something like Shalimar, but it is sadly lacking. But then along came Infinity... the BEST flanker for a fragrance that I have ever encountered. This one is so beautiful I never want to stop smelling it! It has such a rich lovely almost tropical fruit, floral and the vanilla is subtle and not at all too sweet or sickly, unlike Far Away original can be! I need to order another bottle, I'm almost halfway in my current one and I need one on hand at all times!

A successful floral composition and one of the better-quality Far Away flankers. White florals take center stage, sweet yet free from indolic heaviness. In the opening, they are sprinkled with juicy bergamot and nuances of mango, most likely emerging from the marigold accord. As the fragrance unfolds, they are gently embraced by smooth, delicate vanilla. Together with the flacon, which evokes the image of a warm exotic sea, the fragrance radiates a joyful summer spirit, shimmering with light and fresh floral elegance. Longevity and projection are both very good.

AWESOME AVON! Hope they don't discontinue this one as they seem to do all their good ones! This, in my opinion, is a great dupe for Paco Rabanne Olympea without the price tag! I wear this for all occasions: work, to bed, going out shopping etc. I have received compliments on this one also! A lovely and delicious sweet scent that is not toothache sweet, but sublimely sweet! Longevity for me was even longer than wearing Olympea to my happy surprise :) I would definitely buy this again; a great deal on a great "high end" smelling quality fragrance from Avon!!!

This one is a definite Like, I appreciate it as a "non-expensive but great" summer-ish scent, with moderate intensity and rather weak sillage, but distinctive. With better technical qualities it would have been a massive hit, but maybe others experience better longevity. Lovely, beach-y, well constructed, with a beautiful presentation (name and bottle design). This is a very good version of the original Far Away, which is one of my current favorites over many "high-end" frags.The frosted bottle design was much nicer than the current clear glass
