Avon Homme The notes on the Avon site and on fragrantica are so different but here is what I get. Up top after the alcohol dissipates I smell a strong citrus hit of mandarin and Bergamot with a bitter almost citrus peel undertone and something sweet as well, 5 minutes in and the iris comes to the front whilst the citrus takes back stage as a slight support system to the powdery iris, along with this iris there is Coriander and cardamom undertone which lends this scent a spicy freshness this lasts for a hour max before the base kicks in which is now a Smokey woody scent with a muted spicy kick. This is what I think is the vetiver and cedarwood along with the coriander which gives Avon Homme its smoked woods drydown. All in all a well composed and highly refined scent from Avon which is more of a scent for work environments that is if you work in an office and dress formal else this is just a good formal event scent it is not obtrusive nor attention screaming but it I is what it is and that is calm cool and collected. A gentleman's cologne with the price tag of a yard sale item. One of avons best releases for men in recent years. 8 out of 10 Longevity- 5 to 6 hours. Projection- arms length for the first hour thereafter a skin scent which can be smelt only at close encounters.

At first spray, smells like alcohol. Nothing special. Then wait for about 5mins --- and this will turn into a beautiful, fine iris woody scent. I just love this one. Great release from Avon indeed. Rating: 8.5/10

I think the best fragrance from Avon

Unlike Dior Homme, this one doesn't have lavender, nor is it sweet, powdery, "lipsticky," or syrupy. As someone else said, you get a bit of an orange element at first, then wait a few minutes and you get a dry woody scent with some spice. It's definitely niche-like but not strong, though you can spray more and increase projection. If you want this type of niche idea but don't want to spend much, I don't think you'll be missing much here, other than a heavy dose of iso e super or cashmeran, which this one, thankfully, does not have! Note that the iris here is of the dry/particulate type, not the soft/powdery variety (and I get hardly any of it anyway).
