Perfect Nonsense Choco Tuberose

Marvellous opens with a creamy marriage of tuberose and cocoa. It envelops, soothes, and uplifts the mood. However, the composition is ethereal and intimate, quickly becoming a veil on the skin and fading away.

i love this scent!!!!! this perfume is wonderfully complex and takes a while to understand the notes. a casual scent but truly a lovely one !!!!!

I was intrigued by the combination of tuberose and chocolate, which is why I wanted to test this scent, but it wasn't as surprising as the description and notes themselves. The opening is light, fresh, floral, a bit spicy and a bit soapy. Tuberose is the most noticeable, but it's not intoxicating, heavy or difficult. Instead, it's accompanied by a distinct, green tone, as if you were smelling not only a white flower, but also stems or grass. This green tuberose dominates for some time and in the background lurks dry cocoa, which over time stands out more and more and then the scent becomes much warmer. Over time, the composition becomes more earthy and creamy. Tuberose doesn't disappear completely, but clearly gives way to a cocoa note. I like that the chocolate is not sweet but more bitter. The tuberose beginning is definitely more feminine, but when the cocoa part takes over the composition more, the scent becomes unisex. And thanks to this development, it gains in my eyes. It's a nice scent, but without any fireworks. It's not as interesting as I expected, but simply pleasant. It's not so obvious with this brand. I also received samples of the other two from this series and Choco Tuberose is the prettiest, although it won't suit everyone, because it presents two quite different faces - a fresh, floral start and a warm, cocoa finish. The parameters are good. The projection is rather delicate, but thanks to this lightness it can be used in spring and even summer. However, the durability is quite good for Avon. It sticks to the skin for a few hours, longer than I expected. If you don't expect miracles, you should be pleased. 7/10

Choco Tuberose opens with exactly what it says; plenty of cocoa and creamy tuberose. My only major niggle with the fragrance happens pretty early on - the pinch of pepper & ginger behind the headline acts isn't a longwearing blend on me and fades away within 10 minutes. A creamy vanilla develops alongside a pinch of turmeric, enveloping and sweetening it. The tuberose soon takes a backseat to the magnolia, orange blossom & a soft jasmine - I can still separate it from the blend, but the other mentioned florals are richer. I can sometimes separate a hint of caramel apple underneath the supercharged cocoa - I can't separate anything else I could confidently call a fruit in the fragrance. The turmeric gradually becomes louder and more traditionally masculine as the vetiver & cypriol develop fully, for a more earthy base. As the florals and vanilla quieten, a breeze of sandalwood mingles with the cocoa to prevent the fragrance from leaning fully into ever traditionally either masculine or feminine territory. Choco Tuberose wears for around 6 hours on skin, but clings really well to fabric. It applies on the softer side of moderate and quietens down further, but never becomes a skin-scent. Choco Tuberose is my favourite fragrance in the Perfect Nonsense line, although it is the one that fits the theme the least - gourmand notes mixed with white florals, then sprinkled with spice is a blueprint for quite a few extremely popular fragrances. Nothing unique & unexpected here, but this is still lovely and smells more expensive than it is. Very well done.

Completely opposite of what I expected! It opens a little synthetic, but it is avon after all. It's rich, creamy and I would say quite tuberose foward. The chocolate part is completely 100% pure cocoa and not that sickly and cloying sweet milk chocolate scent. It is indeed earthy, though not as actual dirt, rather a bitter, warm powder, but at the same the magnolia gives it a hand soap-like quality which makes it quite clean in my head. I personally can't really see myself wearing something like this, to me this is a diffuser oil blend or better yet, a scented candle. It kind of reminds me of a clean wool sweater as well. The lasting power is surprising! I could smell it all day as i moved around, so if you're into cozy fragrances there are few that can beat this price and performance.

As you spray it def. first you will smell that floral scent but as it dries down you get that choco like scent that stays for a while. Sadly on my skin it doesn't last long, maybe 2h max, but for price it's not bad to try. I usually wear it to my bed or reapplying it at work as it's not overwhelming scent so it doesn't bother people around me.

Perfect as a showerbath, so warm and cosy. As a perfume, a bit heavy for summer but ok.

I love gourmands and I love white flowers, but I don’t love this one. I have to admit that cocoa here develops to be deliciously creamy. But something here just doesn’t sit right with me. I think between pepper and vetiver, this just smells too masculine. I agree with the AXE associations!

You would be surprised to know that this can pass as a YSL Black Opium dupe but just a tad bit sweeter and creamier. I love the tuberose x cacao smell on this one. Smells sooo good on drydown

Opens like Mine Again but the dry down is very unisex and interesting! Dry chocolate herbal. Scent adjacent to Unbreakable/Unbreakable Bond - Khloe

I couldn't wait to try this, as I love both gourmand and floral scents, both cocoa/chocolate and tuberose, but it turns out, this perfume is neither of these things. It's advertised as surprising and unusual, and it really is nothing like I expected. I dislike the opening - too sharp and spicy for my taste, but it gets better when it settles on the skin. It develops into a velvety smooth, creamy cocoa powder scent. It's a pleasant smell that I imagine to be a nice scented candle, but not a perfume. It doesn't project, but rather sits close to the skin as if you have applied a thick cocoa-perfumed body lotion. Decent durability of 3-4 hours on the skin and clothes. A bit similar to FA Rebel, but not as sweet. One of these warm-embrace type of scents, so I wouldn't wear it during the summer. Perhaps I would give it another try when the weather gets a bit colder, but for now, I find it very unimpressive. Not bad, but nothing that would make me want to buy it again. Edit: the spray pump detached itself from the bottle when I opened it one day...Very cheap and poor quality packaging :( Pass.

Very sharp and very synthetic. Doesn’t smell bad in the air, but smells really sharp and bitter on the skin. I don’t want to dismiss avon/oriflame/faberlic perfumery, but many of these scents are so pungent and badly blended, they just scream. Something always gets them away, maybe it’s the base, maybe it’s some ingredients. For me, this one is not worth it, although I love tuberose, white florals and sweet perfumes.

I don't get the hype, this is an overly sweet synthetic floral bomb that I feel like I've smelled a thousand times before (in the likes of LVEB) on girls everywhere. This scent profile really isn't for me I guess...

I had high hopes for this but it’s not what I expected, sadly. Two hours in and I have a headache from it. It’s really clingy too. I’ve tried to wash it off and it still lingers. How come the latest perfumes I’ve tried don’t last but ones I don’t like cling like a limpet? So many perfumes smell exactly like this currently and it’s getting a bit boring. The sample I tried I liked but the actual bottle of the stuff-it’s a no.

Don't be fooled by the earthy main accord on here; it's a juicy and spicy yet fresh and green tuberose combined with the cocoa's powdery sweetness. It's pleasant and not too strong, lingers a lot on clothes. The tuberose note dissapears pretty quickly and what remains is just the powdery sweetness of the cocoa, with just the slight bit of the spicy fresh soapy aspect of the tuberose. A safe blind buy, a well-behaved fragrance that does not dissapoint with it's lasting power but it sits pretty close to the skin and clothes. Early spring in a bottle.

It completely smells like what it says, a combination of chocolate and tuberose. FYI, it smells similar to avon far away royale but less dense but still strong in the drydown. Do not overspray since it has a tendency to be overwhelming in the heat. It does have a vape like smell into it like a combination of sweet chocolate and a mixture if an arab perfume al rehab choco musk. It can easily be worn by men who loves gourmand without being to girly or feminine.

Easily my favourite of these three new ones from Avon. I thought it would be from the notes alone. Cosmofruit ? Anoither new invention of the chemical industry. It's distinctly earthy with a strong cocoa pod undertone and the floral, tuberose aspect is very green, which is unusual, this note is usually more heady and lush than this one. I like it a lot, it stands out from the main stream at the moment.

This crazy sounding fragrance, and its little pal, Bamboozie, attracted me instantly. Can hardly wait for the first reviews and I might have to blind buy the pair of them. And I am not even keen on tuberose, as a rule.
