Signature

Had this cologne back in the early 2010's and went through over 10 bottles till it was discontinued in South African Brochures around 2014. Signature was truly something special to my nose, it was a fruity sweet woody scent that lasted around 6 hours max on skin and around a day on clothes, but it was nothing like Black XS (which dries down to smell like baked bread on me), Signature stayed linear from opening to drydown and only got softer, it was all Apple,Bamboo, Ginger and teakwood on me (with more emphasis on the Teakwood and bamboo) and it was special that it used to get me compliments, but I did not care for that cause this scent to me was like aromatherapy. Avon did bad by discontinuing this and a store full of other great scents to make way for some of the most bland scents that all now appear to smell the exact same with just slight variations on their notes. I've since moved away from Avon fragrances as they have weak performances and can get better fragrances at the same price points and sometimes way cheaper (Tabac, Jovan Musk, Revlon Fire and Ice, any fragrance from Al Rehab, any fragrance from Lataffa, etc) and you will get get good performance. I am no fragrance snob, I buy Niche, I buy designer and even Attars, but what I want from a fragrance is at least some longevity and not a bottle that after six sprays disappears by two hours, wether it's a cheapie or a Niche brand. Bring back the oldies AVON and whilst doing so at least do not water them down.

Crisp apple,Bamboo,Teak Wood and fresh grapefruit peels. This Avon Fragrance is an impeccable fragrance, it is not Loud and obnoxious in any way whatsoever. This is an understated smell that comes off very subtle and gentleman like, I use this on days I don't feel like my powerhouse 80's fragrance are too much, and when the Candy smell of Amen and 1 million gives me an headache. 5 Squirts of this and I smell great, with minimal aroma and I still however get a compliment or 2 that I smell good. This may not be Mind blowing stuff, but it is indeed masculine, suave and very, very clean and woody, it makes a known presence but it doesn't bash people who pass you by with an attention seeking clobber, it gently wafts of the skin and is light, woody, and subtle. Every Guy needs a fragrance like this in his collection, its perfect for a guy who knows that sometimes subtlety is a great thing when all else in his wardrobe screech or punch with hefty head pounding results. Signature is not going to have girls falling in your path, it however will draw the more intrigued way closer to get a whiff of something that actually smells good for close encounters, instead of a fume that knocks its victim as they even approach you within arms lenghth.

Today I got the Avon Signature it was a blind buy but it was worth it. First the fragrance opens with fresh and fruity Notes, than you can directly smell a clear and elegant green Apple accord with the spiciness of Ginger. The Appel accord stays distinct to the heart, where it gets a bit spicier and a warm woody elegant Note emerges steady to the base. This fragrance is like opening a fine bottle of Ginger Ale and bleding it with a fresh and fruity Green Apple Juice mixed with a Stirrer thats made out of precious warm Wood. The only problem like by most Avon fragrances is the durability, it lasts only a lean hour. Unfortunately thats absolutly to short for such a fragrance even if its so cheap. The Fragrance gets 08 out of 10 Points but because of its short durability only 06 out of 10 Points. It's a pity!

Excellent combination of citrus and oakmoss. From memory, I don't recall heavy spice To it, but I'm sure it was present. Deceptively light at at first until drydown. I wholeheartedly agree that puts some heayweight perfumes To shame. Masculine while contemporary... easygoing wheth.er in cargoes or a business suit- it will work, u will pull it off. Stayed on my skin for 5-6 hours plus. And unwashed shirts contained faint notes from 4 sprays. I believe Avon has discontinued it. If true, I really can't imagine why they'd Do that. Looks like the urine of a pauper, smells like the nectar of the gods. Btw: mine was a blind purchase.

An incredible fragrance. I love this to bits. I think this suits best a woman in non-girly business attire, something basic but absolutely flawless in black, white or grey with accent on the accessories. This is how I like to wear it. I have rarely felt so bold and empowered and at the same time calmed by a fragrance before. If there is something true in Freud's theory that women feel incomplete due to the fact they are not men then this scent might be a key to proving that :) Тhe contrast you're creating by wearing a men's perfume is the ultimate way to emphasize you femininity. And it is addictive.
