autumn starts sweet and heady and although i agree with Kterhark that many of Ayala's creations share a bland middle section, i really love how it proceeds here with floral iris not rooty or extra powdery and honeyed undertones. Autumn has minimal project as most of Ayala Moriel's but the lasting power is quite good for a natural perfume and the patchouli is noticeable even after 4 hours.

Autumn is a heavy, fruity chypre that should be a hands down for me but I have reservations. in general, I'm not crazy about the middle phase of any Moriel I've sampled, which is a shame, because the opening and closing of these scents is quite nice. this one opens most strongly of ylang-ylang, which I lovie-love. The middle phase was whiney and annoying, which shocks me, because the trio listed are some of my favorites notes, and have been used on countless other fragrances very positively. hmm.. The drydown is thankfully pure patchouli, but it is not the medicinal patchouli, but the resinous, rich kind. I like this, i just don't love it as much as ayalitta. Longevity is 2-3 hours.
