I bought this at duty free one day and only got to wear it once. Sadly, I had left it at a relatives' house. Fast forward two years later and I was reunited with this fragrance! Maybe my nose changed or I am more appreciative of notes in a fragrance, but damn this smells good! Azzaro Pour Homme Intense opens very bold and robust. Cinnamon, vetiver and brandy with a bit of that Original Azzaro pour homme mixed in for good measure. Now, the sweet spicy opening is interesting and it makes me think of chewing gum, a bit of Big Red to be precise. Just when the semi sweet boozy spiciness begins to get cloying the amber and tonka kick in to calm this fragrance down a bit. Now the cinnamon is the real star of the show in this scent. Cinnamon is a note I appreciate in fragrances but it all depends on how it is rendered and in this case it is rendered perfectly, as a talc style powder of cinnamon. This minor twist takes the Azzaro DNA and ratchets it up a bit giving it some youthfulness or an edge. This scent is very linear and performs a solid 4-5 hours. This scent comes off clean not too soapy but very much a fougere. APHI is not groundbreaking or original but it is quality and is something someone could wear regularly. This scent is fairly masculine and perfect for the 25 and up crowd. This can be worn anywhere or anytime and would work well in the office rotation. Think cold weather, fall or winter to early spring nights, would be perfect times to wear this fragrance. Give this scent a spray when you've got a case of nose fatigue and need to break away from something clean or citrusy.

Recently I was traveling and bought this guy with couple of other fragrances at Paris duty free. I have been missing my old friend APH as he is of a genre of Rive Gauche or PRPH etc. But reformulation almost killed it, I still love it, credit goes to their price on discounters like fragrancenet. I always carry a travel atomizer, so never run out. OK, so coming back to APHI EDP, huh... what a joke. It has better longevity when compared to new APH but may be just couple of hours, like 7 to 8 hours max while you can still sniff it on your skin at 10 hours if you really dig your nose. So, not bad but I was expecting more from an edp as far as sillage and projection goes along with longevity. However what makes me wonder is the note breakdown, how on earth it could smell that close to APH with just 5 notes? But the fact is that it is very close to APH, not exactly the same but carries the same vibe. And I love it just for that reason. So folks, if you are missing longevity on APH, try this, you'll love it. I recommend this young fellow, consider he is great grandson of monsieur APH. My observation:- 1. Smell: 5/10 nothing new that's why 2. Sillage: 7/10 3. Projection : 7.5/10 4. Longevity : 8/10 - around 8 hours 5. Value for money : 8/10 Love makes like live... keep sniffing!!!

I'm not sure why Azzaro made this a flanker when it could've survived on its own. It has nothing to do with original APH. The opening is a large dose of sweetness, almost cola-like. That's the worst part for me, but thankfully it transitions well and ultimately ends with an addictive drydown that to my nose, is reminiscent of D&G The One. My first test run didn't do well with performance; I was in and out all day and really didn't get much out of it. However, I've used it on less active occasions and it's held for a respectable amount of time. Don't expect a sillage monster, it's pretty tame which will make it a perfect date night or close encounter type of scent. Use it by the fireplace while drinking an old fashioned. Grade: B Update: I've been able to wear this more often now that temps are cold. Let me tell you, this one really shines in the cold temperatures and really gives you a sense of warmth with that cinnamon swirling around. Once the vetiver kicks in, it is simply irresistible. I got a respectable 6-7 hours yesterday from 3 sprays. Not beastly sillage, but enough personal sillage to get gentle wafts without placing my nose in my shirt collar. Not sure if this is discontinued, but Azzaro really blew it with the marketing and product design.

Ok, so I started my journey a little over 2 years ago, so don't be too harsh, please. With that said... how did I not smell this until today (when I basically blind bought it)? I've given Azzaro so many chances over these 2+ years. Chrome Pure was my first. Liked it, yes, but didn't love it. It reminded me of several others that seemed to do more. The OG Wanted & The Most Wanted. Liked them? Yes. Did they wow me? Not really. The flankers from the PH Line, several are/were quite good but didn't really seem like something I wanted on me. But this!! This one, is different. A bit boozy, nice & spicy, while still being refined & gentlemanly. This isn't a little boy's scent. It obviously smells nothing like it, but vibe wise, I put this in the same category I put John Varvatos' Vintage... something I call "cool uncle" vibes. It's mature, but not stuffy. It's fun but not exactly playful or youthful. If I were to create one of the played out "Holy Grail/Keep 10" Designers lists, this would have to be on there. It feels like the father of Bentley Intense & Burberry London, if those both had very different mothers (if that makes any sense at all).

Azzaro Pour Homme Intense is a woody, amber and spicy fragrance with some fougere elements. Its output aroma smells of sweet amber and a lot of cinnamon, sharing some fougere accord of the Azzaro Classic such as lavender, tonka and a kind of anise. After several minutes, the sweetness decreases a bit, but the aroma of cinnamon remains, but it never becomes too warm a fragrance, it stays halfway between a spicy fragrance and a classic fougere. In some phases it reminded me a bit of London for Men by Burberry. It seemed to me a fragrance for intermediate seasons such as spring and autumn, to be used in formal and informal situations. I think it will be better appreciated by an audience of mature age, but it's just my perception, in the end each person should try it and make their own conclusion. It lasted around 10 hours, but except for the first hour where the aroma was noticeable around, the rest of the time it stayed near to the skin. I liked this version of Azzaro, and Azzaro also seems to me to be a company that creates good fragrances to good price.

@OntheMark- This is an EDP so that will tell you whether you have the older Azzaro PH Intense EDT released in the 1990s and was closer to the original Azzaro pour Homme EDT than this one. This is completely different even if there is still a tiny hint of the PH DNA. I think with this fragrance Azzaro have honestly created another masterpiece even if they messed up with the confusing name. This spicy brew blows away hugely hyped stuff such as Spicebomb & it's flankers and other fragrances which appear on every other youtuber's predictable fall/winter list (Bentley Intense, Dark Rebel, Man in Black etc). This is a modern spice and booze scent which could (and should) appeal to all ages, I believe Azzaro achieved a fantastic balance between masculine spice and gourmand heaven. Honestly give this one a try people, it's a gem hidden in plain view, it really is. I do wonder about some of these companies though, why did they call it 'Intense' and not something else they have never used? Seems incredibly daft but at least they got the fragrance spot on. 10/10

To begin with I adore this one. Believe me, you have to try it with an open mind and not expecting the original smell or anything alike since this is not a flanker, not this time. It opens with slight Cinnamon surrounded by Vetiver, which are quite unconventional in the top notes. Immediately you sense the Tonka-beans in the undertones. But what really thrills me is the hint of liquor that you can actually make out, a kind of finest and smoky brandy or cognac, which is both complex and fine, with a bouquet of the best Rémy Martin (it is hard to say that since I am a big fan of Islay Single Malts Scotch whisky!!!) It is actually surprisingly good! Awesome, very beautiful, amazing. It is warm and sensual, aromatic-fougère-woody-poudery, smoky. In my opinion Tonka-beans and Amber make it so smooth, a bit sweet and a bit dry, but in a pleasant manner. I think it has nothing to do with the previous releases, I didn't find any similarity with other APH. Ultimately, It gives me a very good vibe. I am proud to give to 9/10, absolutely!!!

I find it mind-boggling how anyone could find this superb fragrance 'sleazy' (God help you if you ever sniff Lagerfeld Classic, Antaeus or Kouros etc lol)! It is very different to the legendary original Azzaro pour Homme, closer to that is the 'Intense' EDT from the 90s. This is a much more modern affair but certainly not for little boys, this will give you a manly swagger. Brandy & spice is order of the day. It's not a million miles away from Azzaro's own Wanted by Night (released after this one) but this 'Intense' EDP which really deserved to be a standalone release, it a little more grown-up but far from being a 'mature only fragrance. In (very) basic terms, imagine Wanted by Night and Spice Bomb with a slight touch of Azzaro pour Homme or Boucheron Jaipur Homme EDT but really this scent should be a reference point rather than an amalgam of other, lesser scents, it's that good.

I just can't hate this house and i'm a legit fanboy at this point. Azzaro's quality & price is just phenomenal. Freshies, cheapies, classical... Azzaro does it all. This one is yet another banger: Classic masculine fougére, hinting at the original but with a modern twist on the added booziness and density, but without smelling cheap or losing any sense of class. The fact this is a bittersweet frag with no rough edges is a testament to the quality of the blend offered here and i'm legit surprised by how cheap i got this. I'm in the middle of summer and this thing is still going strong after 6 hours, so the performance is definetly nothing to complain about. It's Cinnamon drenched on a glass of whiskey by a luxurious fireplace. Awesome bottle for the winter nights and cold seasons, i can only imagine this will glue to your skin/clothes during the milder weather days.

Some of the items you discover along the way are surprising. This is a very well blended fragrance, and “modern”. I get that Azzaro vibe, but in a subtle way. If your familiar with the original then you will get why it’s a flanker, but it has a rich booziness and spice. It even has a powdery iris like note, but subtle, not over the top in that cosmetic/lipstick way. While this is tough to get your hands on, and is not the cheapest blind buy out there at discount sites, it is truly worth a try. Very masculine, and quite unique. This is definitely spicy, putting it in the family of cinnamon heavy fragrances, but not leaning gourmand. Some great reviews below mine, it’s a testament that the old school houses still have some tricks up their sleeves. Obviously a cool weather offering, day or night, classy and sophisticated with good performance and longevity.

A masterpiece. Be careful of the other formulation, it's not the same at all. This one though, astonishing. Azzaro Pour Homme Intense is a wonderful, yet complex cinnamon BOMB. After the initial spray, of course you're overwhelmed by cinnamon and amber, but it gradually dries down and unveils what is to me the most elegant, seductive and pleasant scent. Those two notes are now upfront with the Brandy, perfectly blended with the beautiful Haitian vetiver in a warm background of vanilla and almond, courtesy of the tonka. Out of this whole deal, you can sense a lavender vibe somewhere. How? No clue. It's part of why APHI is what I use daily, keeping me away of my usual rotation. Powerhouse? Almost. People around you have to notice. A fragrance you simply cannot go wrong with, it will not irritate anyone. Longevity is top-notch and its sillage is in meters!

Wow, this is a really great fragrance. It opens up with a bit of the bite that the original pour homme has. It's strong on the Brandy up front; and I almost feel like a toned down anise which is what reminds me of the original. The vetiver lays a foundation that kicks in shortly after the opening notes fade. the vetiver reminds me of EN but not damp; it's boozy. The best boozy fragrance I've smelled. For me, this won't be a purchase though I loved it. The vetiver note on my skin has the 1-4 hour period feeling a little too soft, which contrasts with the brandy. I prefer the opening of Dark Rebel. After the 4 hour mark, I can smell cinnamon, amber and tonka. It could be a muted Man in Black or Spicebomb for the next 8 hrs. It's really nice but since I already have Dark Rebel and Spicebomb, there's no need for this in my collection. Thanks and Enjoy!

I have been collecting fragrances for around 10 years and I hate that it took me this long to discover this amazing gem. One usually thinks that when you get a flanker like "Intense", "Parfum", "Elixir", etc. that the flanker would still retain some of the original fragrance's "DNA".....but this one is not at all similar to the original. I would never have thought that I would fall in love with a fragrance that has a dominant cinnamon note, but this one changed my mind. This still has that "Classic men's fragrance characteristic" that exudes a "gentlemanly" accord. It is definitely a cool/cold weather fragrance as the cinnamon gives it a very cozy feeling. It has a sexy spicy feel that helps to make it be not so boozy. I definitely recommend picking up a bottle if you can find one at a decent price.

Azzaro Pour Homme Intense is basically a spicy and sweet take on Azzaro Pour Homme. The cinnamon and whisky notes are the spicy and the tonka bean of the base is sweet. It still fits in with a barber shop scent though. It smells a bit like Tim McGraw to my nose but I do think Azzaro did better. McGraw is discontinued and as long as I can find this, I'll keep getting it. The fragrance is very masculine and I do find it should work in an office seeding. I don't find it as much of a bomb as others do but that is just me but it lasts about seven hours on my skin and has really good initial projection. Overall I rate Azzaro Pour Homme Intense a 8.2 out of ten. It is really good bang for its buck. Glad I blind bought it.

So I cracked open this boozy bad boy once again, I'm still shocked at how good this stuff smells! Frankly it has to be one of the best boozy/spicy designer fragrances for men on the market. Lovely ladies, by all means try it but this is I feel definitely rather manly. It's modern but with a sly nod to the past, which I think will ultimately make this a timeless scent. It's not an overly mature fragrance but it's not for kids either. anyone who wants a more serious or masculine alternative to Azzaro's own Wanted by Night could check this out. What you get here is mainly Brandy, cinnamon and amber giving off a striking projection and sillage with great longevity. An overlooked gem perfect for autumn/fall.

The reviews for this are all over the place and others mentioned reformulations, but I bought my first bottle of this in 2019 and recently re-upped, and it smells the same. This is a wonderfully warm scent, cinnamon, spice, booze, with a slight herbal nature from the vetiver I think. The way the vetiver and amber are used does give this a bit of a throwback barbershop vibe for me, but it's by no means dated. I'd say it's probably not for the young and hip but if you want an inviting, spicy cool weather scent that is office safe and sophisticated, this is for you. I really enjoy wearing it around the holidays since the cinnamon is so pronounced. An all time fave.

this thing is a badass. Make no mistake, this is not one of them nice pretty and sweet spicy fragrances like the other cinnamon things you might find. This thing will punch in the face soon as you smell it, and you WILL like or else. It projects and stays on you for a very long time. I detect a hint of the original Azzaro when it opens, but it goes in it's own direction after a few minutes. Personally I think that's great. I like the idea of flankers reminding me of the original but having their own personality. You must like cinnamon is you get this. It's a very strong cinnamon from the opening and the boozy vetiver mix just comes in very well done. Enjoy.

The opening is warm and the color of the juice edt is representative of the smell. The AzzaroPH DNA is present from the beginning. The note pyramid is incomplete. Mentally add the outline of classic AzzaroPH beneath the listed notes. It is a safe warm cinnamon amber cool weather scent, but like Azzaro PH L'eau, the barbershop essence from the original AzzaroPH is there when you breathe deeply. You are visiting your regular barbershop, Azzaro. This is the cold weather nighttime special occasion version of the usual scent. Very warm and inviting, but still with THAT identifying marker. Great date version of APH.

@richmilton I totally agree, this is a special juice indeed! I've gone through a few samples and just need to find a bottle that I can afford (very expensive here in France!) if we had those US prices here I would buy 5 bottles lol. According to a sales rep in a well known 'S' perfumery here, this stuff may well have been discontinued, or at least they will no longer be stocking it (hence no new testers to replace their empty one). So if anyone likes this juice I would buy a backup ASAP, it really is a gorgeous spicy boozy modern manly scent that has strangely gone under the radar, I love it.

A really nice cinnamon and booze juice. I wasn't sure of this at first, but, after a few sprays, it seems to have developed nicely. If you blind buy, make your mind up after, say, about 2 weeks. Perfumes seems to get better after the oxygen has mixed and after a few sprays. This certainly did, also I'm detecting a slight cola vibe going on here. This Azzaro seems to have a good performance, and it is a great Winter warming perfume. This is a real grower and is gorgeous. *Update* I've gotta get another bottle of this, it's one of the nicest spicy/boozy perfumes I've had.

I love this fragrance, for it's composition and its price. Bang for buck, you can't go wrong. Beautiful boozy cinnamon blended with amber and tonka. The vetiver is subtle but it's there. This will most likely strike a chord with the more mature crowd, there is a level of sophistication and manliness to it. Though it's not am extension of the original, it's soul is there in so much that it has a manly powerhouse feel with spice and amber. It's only let down is longevity on my skin, soft skin scent after 2 hours and pretty much gone in 4. Such a shame.

Somewhat in shock to see this discontinued. One of my first fragrances in this rediscovery of scent and still delicious having done the tour. Feeling much more complete and mature than the Wanted line but... Gone. Completely. Warm heavy thick cinnamon soapy barbershop - a cold weather and nighttime winner even if not beast mode longevity. No real loss there though as the variety it went through kept it interesting. But now it is gone. Luckily I have a list of possible replacements but that felt unfairly quick for a very solid fragrance.

Wow! A very good scent. Cinnamon, boozy, powdery, sweet, and woody. It is hard not to like this one. It is near, if not at, the top in this line. I get great projection and longevity on my skin. This is very much a masculine scent that can be worn in casual or formal attire. I have to admin that this line from Azzaro is much better than most people will give it credit for. Don't judge it based on the low price. Just try it with an open mind. You might be surprised.

This needs to be talked about more because this is absolutely amazing. The cinnamon here is very similar to the cinnamon in obsession for men which is a prominent note in both. Although I like both, intense is a superior fragrance because of the boozy note. This is definitely for the more mature but if you can appreciate boozy cinnamon fragrances, then I would recommend you buy it if you can find it.

SURPRISED ME!! This is an Azzaro to have. I have been extremely critical of the house of Azzaro, mainly in saying this house puts out very synthetic and dated fragrances. Azzaro pour homme Intense is such a rich and gorgeous scent for men. The cinnamon off the top and the booziness are so enchanting. I'll have to order a larger bottle of this and keep it on rotation. Way to go Azzaro!

Slightly sweet, boozy opening spiced with cinnamon. This is a great casual or semi-casual night out fragrance for the colder months. This is masculine and has original APH in the background. I do not get a vanilla accord, which works out great because I am not a big fan of vanilla. Projection and longevity is slightly above average. It’s an overall great value fragrance.

This is a gem of a fragrance. Beautiful! It's currently one of my two or three top cooler weather fragrances. The opening is rather intoxicating.. a cinnamon/boozy/amber scent, and to me it's mostly linear as time goes on but the cinnamon fades and the amber seems to be most present. I can't recommend it highly enough. The hype (I think there is hype) is real!

This fragrance was unknown to me, I seen the notes and knew I had to get it, cinnamon and brady dominate this fragrance and it is such a damn good scent. A hidden gem for sure! As far as the scent that it remind people of, I don’t get any of those scents, besides oajan is the closet this fragrance resembles. If you love cinnamon fragrance this is a must have!

My bottle is nearly gone in less than 2 years. I just keep coming back to it. Despite the intense name, it doesn't last that long. Projection is decent for 2-3 hours and then is pretty close. The boozy spice is so good. This says I'm a man and I smell good. I hope my next bottle performs as well. Safe blind buy for a mature gentleman.

Great take on the classic Azzaro Pour Homme base. Added cinnamon and boozy notes give it some added warmth, while still maintaining that clean, barbershop vibe the original is known for. Not the best as far as performance goes, but it is so good, it don’t mind reapplying. More mature than most modern scents. Very classy!

This is smells like Christmas warm enveloping spicy and inviting its constantly present and will be smelled by others but not strongly.This is a very underrated scent its brilliant only slight issue is performance but its designed as an intimate scent for a winter time cuddle with your better half if you have one.

It has a manly touch. It is sweet, but with serious trait. Also, It has an alcoholic vibe. The opening can be a little off putting with that boozy vibe, but the dry down is really beautiful. Sadly, it seems not to project on this instance, but still noticeable. I enjoy it when I wear it, but it is not very often.

I would kill to have this discontinued gem back. It's out of stock everywhere. I tried so hard to find it but still couldn't find it anywhere. Guys please suggest me something that smells exactly like azzaro pour homme intense. This was my first fragrance and my favourite of all time.

It’s nothing like the OG pour homme. The cinnamon and vetiver is quite obvious in the opening. Yet, one can still feel the same DNA, and it’s very interesting. I love this DNA tbh. But it’s a bit more mature and formal. You’ll have 10 percent reminiscence of Azzaro pour homme edt.

sweet boozy cinnamon with amber and spices...so beautiful...and the price point is crazy good for this kind of quality. pure gem...when winter hits...longevity is above average and projection is average but few extra sprays solve the problem, hidden gem :) 8.5/10

My first fragrance ever! Lots of memories are attached with this frag. This is a masterpiece and a hidden gem. Only real fragheads will enjoy a beautiful journey with APH intense. It was love at first sniff! Got me great amount of compliments throughout ages.

this is beautiful classy and unique blend it is sweet amber cinnamon and brandy with the dna of the orignal but it is very different the longevity is good it is best for fall 9/10 the drydown is lovely in some way reminds me of coca cola

Heading in to the holidays I remembered I had a one ounce bottle of this that would be great for travel. I haven't used it in a couple years, and totally forgot how great it is. Nice blast of cinnamon, amber, and tonka...great fragrance

Been revisiting this for the past couple of nights due to cooler than average weather. It’s just a great, masculine, amber, and boozy fragrance. If it only had better performance.

It smells like visiting your old drunk uncle in one old family house. I mean in a good way, it smells great. Very boozy and spicy. Great performance and projection.

it opens with lots of cinnamon then cinnamon note decreases and brandy and vetiver add until end. it smells s..y and it can be perfect choice for dates:)

Dial antibacterial soap in fragrance bottle in a pleasant way! This is definitely a keeper. Grab a bottle while you can.
