SAFE AND PLEASANT SUMMERY FRAGRANCE This Eau de Toilette is what a flanker should be. I get vibes of Azzaro pour Homme (so there is a DNA connection), but it also reminds me of "Rive Gauche" besides other pleasant vibes. It's marketed as a summer variation of the classic "Azzaro Pour Homme", and indeed it's what it is! It has a strong citrusy fresh opening with lavender, followed by some flower notes (geranium) and top-quality sandalwood that assures the transition to the final drydown with a fougére vetiver/patchouli/musk notes, plus a woody accord. I believe this is not loaded with sex appeal (and it's not meant to be), nor will be a compliments champion due to its low sillage. I bought it mainly to please me. Nevertheless, it's a very safe fragrance for the summer: Citrusy/lavender opening and a fougére dry down. Sillage and longevity are average or a bit below average. I love the original Azzaro PH but was disappointed with the longevity on the current formulation. L'Eau takes the best parts of the original, gives it a citrus twist, turning it instantly into one of the most wearable non aquatic summer frags ever. As edge42 mentioned below, this is powerhouse lite. It starts off with a nice citrus blast,and then the familiar Azzaro lavender and vetiver comes into play in the heart and base notes. Star Anise is not listed but I get it in the dry down stages along with the vetiver and patchouli. Good projection for about 5 hours and stays on the skin a good 8 hours plus with 4-6 sprays. If you have any sort of interest in the original Azzaro PH, you really should check it out. This is a summer flanker done RIGHT!! This deserves more respect than it currently gets and if you're looking for a great versatile summer fragrance without going into aquatic "calone clone" territory, look no further. I love it. 8.5/10. EDIT- It has been about 40 C here the past few days and I find myself reaching for L'Eau more than any other fragrance in my wardrobe. Just so comfortably masculine and fresh smelling and I can smell it on me all day. I definitely prefer this to the current formulation of Azzaro Pour Homme by far. Try this one folks, you wont be disappointed.

Definetely a great flanker. It's a nice more modern interpretation of the original Azzaro, but here the notes are much softer. Great lavender and sandalwood notes makes this a great and safe option for hot weather. I get vibes of Azzaro pour Homme but also reminds me of Rive Gauche. The poor man's Dior Homme 2020 Edt! I have both and think this is a perfectly suitable replacement. This also never goes sour on my skin like the new Dior Homme does sometimes. I also like the price of this one a LOT better! In my previous review i actually called this "The Poor Man's Dior Eau Sauvage" but darker/spicier, and I still say there are similarities to that as well, but that comment was in 2019 before Dior Homme 2020 came out. Either way, if you like either of those, you'll like this too. Plus this is super affordable! Edit: Last night after this review, I wore this and then used Dior Homme 2020 about 4 hours later to freshen up and get a direct/layering comparison. As soon as I freshened up with the Dior Homme 2020, I noticed Dior Homme had a noticeable ambroxan element, compared to this. Still, this is in that same genre of scent, and this is every bit as good too. There was no clash, although the citrus notes, of course, are different. The ambroxan was the biggest difference, for me.

Similar to the original, but much fresher, more modern and more subtle. It's a relatively simple and straightforward fragrance, but very well blended and not overly simplistic or linear. Of all it's stages, the dry down is my favorite as it reminds me more of the original APH and carries quite a bit of depth and complexity. It's an ideal office wear due to it's moderate projection and non-offensive scent. Works well with suit and tie as it exudes an air of sophistication and maturity. For this reason the recommended age, in my view, would be 25 and up. But that shouldn't deter the younger folks from trying it. They might be surprised. Longevity is commendable for an inexpensive fresh scent. On my skin, it varies a lot and is very dependent on outside temperatures. In high heat, I could detect hints of it even after 12h, but the usual wear is around 6 to 8 hours. And last but not least, the price - bit over 20 eur. for 100ml bottle is an absolute steal. Highly recommended!

I like it a lot because it's a true flanker of the original. This eau is a fresher version of the og, the DNA is still there but more modern, happy and invigorating.very nice blend of grapefruit, yuzu, lavender, patchouli and musk. More appealing than his "father", the performance is ok, good projection and sillage in the first 1,5h, then became more a skin scent. Longevity 5-6h max. A barbershop fragrance for the warm seasons that fits better for an adult crowd. Very genuine flanker sadly discontinued but easy to find for a great price. A fragrance that doesnt lie! This dammed fragrance I’d going to have me showing my age. But I love this. This is like that certain time of music that came out around 1977-1984 it was either ‘Yacht Rock’ or ‘Quiet Storm Soul’ like Kenny Loggins,Steely Dan, Teddy Pendergast and Lou Rawls. I know this is not going to sound appealing to people wanting something fresh clean and blue. This isn’t a ‘clubbing’ scent. This isn’t serious either, it’s got an element of fun Nope this smells dated, effervescent citrus and musky dry. If this scent had a shirt on, at least four buttons would be left undone, gold chain(s), slacks, loafers and shades (currently what I’m wearing in fact)...and a bright disarmingly charming smile. I really love this scent a lot, I would wear it all year round as though it sits pleasantly in the warmer heat, I think it carries that over into the cooler months. Great stuff, not really for kids or anyone who likes the sweeter end of the fragrance scale. 8.9/10

Blind bought this based on reviews. It is excellent for hot weather; my shot to the chest lasts well over 6 hours. It's similar to APH in that it dries down to lavender, but citrus--especially grapefruit and yuzu--are more upfront. Grapefruit actually hangs around on me a bit, then I get lavender with background notes floating in and out: carnation, vetiver, patchouli... even some lemon. It's a sophisticated, complex drydown. APH is one of my very first and very favorite scents. IMO this is better, falling short only in sillage (and I think it would border on acrid if it were stronger). A terrific frag on any terms, but a pretty astounding value. Much better than your run of the mill aquatics and citruses. Will be great in my warm day work rotation with Lalique HommageALH, Cerruti 1881 and Guerlaine GH. Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' bout. Scent: 9/10 Sillage: 6/10 Longevity: 7/10

I absolutely love Azzaro Pour Homme Leau! It has become one of my go to fragrances because of its simplicity and versatility(not to say that this it is an overly simple fragrance). Leau is very masculine and yet refined at the same time. This fragrance doesn't scream man, rather it is a calm, suave and professional voice always reminding you of its obvious manhood. I have successfully used Leau year round, day and night, work and play, and have had no problems whatsoever(keep in mind it is still meant more so for Spring and Summer due to its brightness). It is one of the few fragrances that I get compliments on thanks to its projection and longevity (6-7 hours, projecting for 4 on me). If you want a decent priced fragrance that is versatile, gentle and still masculine then Leau is hard to pass up! 9/10

I love this perfume. It was clearly conceived before perfumers decided every fragrance needs something sweet to complete it. No sweetness here - just a lighter citric fougere. On me, it opened with a bitter citrus accord that lasted all the way through to the drydown. I test drove this fragrance in the summer heat and it delivered 100%. It projected while I sweated and kept me surrounded by a bitter citrus, cooling and fresh smell. I doused myself in it in the morning but I could still perceive it 7 hours later despite going out in the heat. It smells like the OG Azzaro with the spices muted but reinforced instead by bitter citrus and lightened just a bit. Didn't cost an arm and a leg either. Great warm weather daytime fragrance - recommended for summer and warm spring days.

A fresher, more modern and perhaps "more civilised" version of the bona fide classic that is ApH, and clearly a chip off the old block. The yuzu is a nice touch adding a touch of chill and glassiness to the heavyweight DNA from the original - plus the frosted glass bottle is much cooler than the ugly bottle of the original :)) Sillage and longevity are more than acceptable too, as it dries down into something very similar to the original ApH. Think of L'Eau as being to ApH what Kouros Fraicheur is to Kouros itself and you won't go too far wrong. Another cracking Azzaro for summer, or any other season for that matter, which is also excellent value for money. This one is the ApH flanker to get, and dare I say it, may even be better than the original. Definitely recommended!

This is an extremely charming little scent. It's so bright, but the citrus is steered away from becoming screechy, by a soft, musky shaving soap accord. You will recognise this businessman cleanliness from Rive Gauche or perhaps Bel Ami; slightly sour, opaque, almost bodily but not quite. The old "clean/dirty" routine of the 80's, brightened and softened, with some delicious liquorice in the base. This is a nice cheat code to get away with wearing that vintage style, in the current day. Simple and very well executed. Quietly charismatic. UPDATE: 1) I hate to be that guy, but the longevity is poor on this one, even when sprayed on clothes. 2) It's rapidly gone from 'like' to 'love' and I'm already looking for another bottle!

This is great, this definitely scratches the itch for YSL rive gauche pour homme if you want something similar but not pay 200+ for a bottle in the grey market. It gets very similar in some notes , while being different enough to not be redundant to have both. Of course, it is important to say that this is a flanker of Azzaro pour homme which is a 70s fragrance so technically the original was the inspiration for Rive Gauche. This has that classic licorice / anise shaving foam scent mixed with some light woodsy citrus , and the yuzu takes it from being a summery flanker to something that can actually be worn year round. It does not resemble Issey Miyake at all though, although both have yuzu.

A nice, elegant and well-balanced frag, perfect for a hot summer day. Very modern with just a hint of a good old barbershop. The opening is sharp and fruity, with familiar Azzaro metallic note. It quickly becomes warmer, fuller and more rounded and soapy, thanks to lavender - but still dominated by yuzu. Towards the drydown, L'Eau is woodier and drier. Yuzu plays the main part till the end (about 7 hours on my skin). Longevity is a bit above the average, sillage is just OK. This cologne surely has presence without being loud or vulgar. In my humble opinion, L'Eau d'Azzaro is far better than much more famous L'Eau d'Issey. Try it. It's so easy to fall in love with it.

glorious vetiver and citrus. Yuzu gives this a very nice spin on the traditional summer citrus aquatic that we've all become too accustomed to. spicyness is almost powdery and very warm, but not as in the warmth you get from winter spicy scents. overall a fantastic fragrance and very much another one that goes ignored from the house of azzaro solely for not being the original, and perhaps precisely because of the negative connotation associated with the endless stream of flankers. smells nothing like the original, and to me that's good. when i want the original l I reach for the original. excellent price point so very little risk in trying. 'nuff said.

This one smells great. I really enjoy the citrus top but it is very succinct. Then the star anise or yuzu comes in and is a real winner. Like others mention, it is similar to Rive Gauche. It's a great office scent and I'd say pleasing to others around you, but I'm curious where Azzaro ranks among other companies as far as using quality ingredients and putting out a quality product. I just feel the smell is not as smooth or distinguished as other brands. Almost a little choppy or burred. It stil smells good even though it may not perform as well as other top notch perfumes. Pricing is right and I'll continue to keep in the rotation

A very refreshing fragrance for summers, clean and fresh citruses just like I like them :-) no pun but this whole one stage going with nice top notes and the other starting with the Tonka and this and that I find a bit tiring :-) to me what smells good is just what I want. I would not be too snooty and arty to reject fragrances for how classy or arty they are. So if it smells good and lasts for 5 hours (let's not expect miracles) go for it ! Tried this last night, liked it and am getting it when out this evening :-) and I recommend it for those who like fresh clean citrus fragrance with flowers singing in the backdrop !

It's easy to go anosmic to this one, which is likely the reason for the inconsistencies in performance in reviews, but the scent is quite nice! The first thing I thought when smelling this one was: "The poor man's Dior Eau Sauvage", however this does have some spice in the base, and a bit of a vanillic sandalwood standing out. The yuzu is nice and sharp, not too powdery, just very light and airy. If you like this scent and could stand to wear something with a little bit more sweetness, another good fragrance to try would be Hanae Mori HM Eau de Parfum, which is a bit more bold and harder to go noseblind to.

It is a nice Fresh fragrance, Light, Clean , Bright and Airy, It smells a bit of the original Azzaro in the dry down, In my opinion, This has one of the best Men's Perfumes dry down in the perfumery industry! It is a Fresh Modern scent with Barbershop Style. It opens up with like fresh clean citrusy and floral notes in the background then dry down is green woody. Easy to Wear, Easy to Love. I was surprised by Azzao L'eau, I enjoy this one quite a bit and have been reaching for it a lot lately. The original never really did much for me. Anise-dominant fragrances have always seemed to have poor performance on my skin. I figured it was a chemistry thing. L'eau does remind me of the original but fresher and a bit soapy. I'm surprised to not see anise in the breakdown as I swear there's still quite a bit in this one. I get solid performance out of this, about 6 hours, with soft but noticeable projection. Lasts up to 10-12 hours on clothes.

It is a great smelling cologne for the modern gentlemen, not old-fashion or dated at all, if anything...made for the more responsible young guys and over 25 public. Great value for what you pay, it smells and remains fresh for a long time, it gives you energy and make you feel clean during the whole day, great job with this one....do not understand why this has not been hyped..it deserves it...The best azzaro homme flanker I have smelled so far...no doubts... Surprisingly similar to Rive Gauche (which I have and love). I might...actually like this even more than Rive Gauche, it is certainly easier and more versatile to wear. It's like Rive Gauche but lighter, more citrus, less sexy / brooding / silky and more brighter and approachable. Smooth lavender and anise with a woody patchouli base. Incredible value and while a tiny bit old fashioned, it is modern enough for a man in his 30s+ to wear, even in trendy NY bars and lounges. Scent: 8.5 / Sillage: 7.5 / Longevity: 7.5

Citron/Lemon and Grapefruit are embraced in a bitter, sharp, and sweet medley on top. Azzaro Pour Homme DNA comes around for the middle and base. If you love Azzaro PH, you will love L'eau. It is for spring and summer. It makes my mind's eye see an open air Mediterranean barber shop with proprietary shaving cream. A sunny morning and close gentleman's shave. This is a masculine citrus fougere that will make you feel like a king. It should impress the people around you because it is uplifting for the wearer.

As a 43 years old Arabian man, in my Middle Eastern community, nowadays, fresh fragrances (whether imported from the West or from Middle Eastern companies) have become less mature and tend toward boyish scents, such as soap and shower gel. But this is something you resist as you get older. This fragrance is a wonderful exception; it's mature, fresh, elegant, and has an acceptable sharpness. Not a linear perfume. In short, this fragrance combines three categories: (citrusy), (fougere), and (slightly woody).

Really good flanker to the original. To me this is even superior because it's really the same DNA with an added citrus. The yuzu in the opening is amazing. Bitter and zesty, without any sweetness but with a clear freshness. This is retro, but not dated in any way, more of a clean fresh fragrance when you're dressed formally. For the price you can get it, it is an amazing value for money if you're looking for a nice working spring or summer scent. To me this smells like something Adrian Monk would wear.

I live in Cairo Egypt for the time being, I hot dry harsh weather is dominent here. Although I do have lots of perfumes and would like to have more, I find myself always reaching to summer frags to go along with the weather. Usually L'eau D'issey is my best choice but as it is a crisp and dry frag I had to have something a bit softer. Azzaro L'eau is a good option. Good for everyday use, very vesatile, a notch softer than L'eau D'issey, although the longsvity is not as much.

This is a gem - and it is underrated which makes it even better. The original is too dated for my taste. L'eau however is great for warm weather or sunny days. Yuzu brings freshness and keeps it light. Yet the lavendar and sandalwood give it an umistakably masculine edge. This is 'barbershop light' and as such the perfect fragrance right after shower on a sunny Sunday morning. I love it and will buy again.

Manly fresh 90s fragrance, reminds me of the show "Seinfeld". Much better than the original Azzaro pour homme, which for me is a little bit too heavy and dated. Overdose of citruses up top, combined with classic rugged OG Pour Homme at the base, makes this scent crisp and elegant. Suited for spring and summer, it will refresh you for a few hours. For current price it's a really nice pickup.

Opening is very bright and fresh : you smell all the citruses noted in the list, dries down to a fresher, summery, watery fragrance - keeping the original Azzaro pour homme DNA, keeping it masculin and classy. The woods and aromatics are toned down a little compared to the OG. No, this does not smell like Issey Miyake pour Homme (from the yuzu).

Love it! On my skin the bright citrus opening very quickly proceeds to a shaving cream drydown a la "Rive Gauche" and I truly adore that aspect. It maintains a certain freshness and a class that is traditional and modern at the same time, Close to the skin, permanently lingering, Gentleman`s aroma it is!

A great fragrance for warm weather. A very clean and fresh version of APH,but fruitier & less harsh than APH Summer edition 2013 & the lavender/geranium notes are very indentifiable. Lasts well on my skin,at least 4-5 hours,sillage is moderate.

Something to add to my collection, blind bough it online got it, open the box smell it and it’s that comforting to use every day. Nice, invigorating and weary free, the scent is just AMAZING you can’t go wrong using this any day. A REAL GEM.

At first it's too soapy but later the dry down is wonderful, a relax version of Azzaro Pour Homme. The longevity is as the original version. I really love it

Sport/summer flanker to the original, grapefruit note gives it some zing in the top, suitable for office and gym, worth a punt if you like the original

If azzaro por homme were a man, than l'eau is the same man only 25 lbs. lighter..very similar to me in its original scent, but much lighter on it's trail. it is aromatic a safer scent for men..nice and with a bit more citrus you will smell a similar aroma of the original azzaro just a little milder in its projection, testing it now for longevity, i really love azzaro pour homme and i have always adjusted that scent by just how much i applied..so not really sure if would need to buy this, when I run out then maybe a wiser choice for replacing if you do not have the original and love this type of fragrance then not a bad choice at all ..there may be some slight differences but my first reaction was the same only tamer version or toned down a bit. but yet the magic of azzaro pour homme is still present, I think if you like the orginal you will enjoy this as well as you will recognize that footprint. I think for me , the reformulation of azzaro may have lost some of its opening of the orginal version, but this one to me might be the answer as what it does offer is intriguing and appealing. I think try it and see or maybe just consider it as it's own fragrance and you may be more pleased.

Jury's out on this. My wife tells me it's lovely and better than many of my significantly more expensive favourite's like Guerlain Homme, ADP Assoluta and L'Ideal Home Cologne. I'm not so sure on the other hand. Like the Original, there is an overwhelming note in this (I think it's the Anise, but I am no expert on notes) I really struggle with. Whilst it is far lighter and more useable than the original and even though I suspect the sillage and smell to others is better than the close up skin scent, I am just struggling with the top note in this which is just a bit much for me. I want to like it as I keep looking for a quality cheapy to wear everyday without breaking the bank but in this respect, I am returning to Zegna Uomo and Azzaro's own Chrome as I just feel far more comfortable with them despite suspecting this is probably a higher quality and far more unique fragrance. If you like the original but are looking for something more useable and modern, get this without hesitation, but if, like me, you just don't get Azzaro PH, then I suspect you won't be totally comfortable with this either!

Not to wear if you do not like the original Azzaro pour homme classic. Especially as it does stay on your skin & clothes for a very long time. 14 hours up to now. It is not strong though. Do not expect people to say O you are wearing Azzarobut your nose & brain will have it smelling for a very long time. The start off is 100% citrus to become Azzaro classic the whole day true. Definitily quality stuff. Ilike Azzaro classic on other men. It is a very masculine fragrance. Thing is, now I know it isn't a frag for me. 10/10 for the fragrance & its lasting. 5/10 for the bottle which is very ugly! Same as for Azzaro classic but 100% hard plastic to show a yellowish juice yet colour. I guess it was made to be practise for guys to have it in their lugage & sport bags. It does not look nice among other bottles though. Same for the packaging which is some fade grey colour box. Not attractive at all but again; very recommended for those that wear the classic version & look for its summer version.

You guys are spot on with your reviews of this fragrance it's a nice masculine mature spring & summer scent I'm in the US so this is relatively unknown this for me was a blind buy never seen it in any store only online I'm a regular user of chrome the original chrome is in my top 10 so since I like and own the entire chrome lineup I'd figure I would give this a try it's a good scent I wouldn't say it's the greatest but I like it it's just too lite and fades away in maybe around 3 hours or less starts off kicking though but tones down within the first 30 to 40 minutes but really l was hoping to get something that smelled like a combination of original chrome and issey miyake but it doesn't smell like neither one I thought it would've because I seen the yuzu note listed and the word leau I'll still give it a like and 6/10 it's really affordable so I didn't mind spending the $25 on it if you like lite close up type fragrances it's worth a try

I received this as an Xmas gift and am I glad to receive it. I would never have tried this otherwise. Flankers are almost always very disappointing and I was expecting a weak Azzaro PH, but this is a rare flanker that borrows from the original and still manages to have its own identity. I am suprised to see no spicy notes listed above as this is what makes this fragrance to me. I can definitely pick up anise almost all the way through and maybe some cardamom along the way. The opening is a pleasant citrus, the heart is a watery floral and spice mix... unique and beautiful, drydown is lavender and anise to me. Performance wise I wish this lasted longer and project further but it is definitely worth reapplying. Great summer scent and since I live in a warm climate this is even more wearable than the original. Scent : 17/20 Longevity : 6/10 Projection : 5/10 Total : 7/10 ... Flanker done right.

Did someone pour Caron's Yuzu Man into a vat of Azzaro Pour Homme (OG) and bottle it? This has more Yuzu Man profile than L'eau D'issey by Issey Miyake in it. And contrary to opinions below, L'eau D'issey is FAR more intense than this Azzaro Pour Homme L'eau or the weak Yuzu Man. This Azzaro Pour Homme L'eau flanker suffers a bit in performance. I'm a big fan of the original Azzaro Pour Homme, and I can detect its profile in this L'eau flanker. I have often compared Azzaro Pour Homme and YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme as similar, and in competition for my "most definitive barbershop Fougere" and I can understand the comparisons of this L'eau flanker and Rive Gauche Pour Homme. This Aromatic Fougere/Citrus Aromatic hybrid is pretty good, but I love the original Aromatic Fougere much more.

Powerhouse-lite! Why more people haven't tried this one is a mystery to me. This is very good! Smells like a blend of Chanel Pour Monsieur and YSL Rive Gauche, but slightly brighter, more citrusy, and with hints of the original grand-daddy Azzaro Pour Homme throughout. Plus it has good lasting power which Pour Monsieur is greatly lacking. Don't let the 'L'eau' part of the name fool you, this is no aquatic - it's very aromatic fougere, very powerhouse-lite. I can see this working great in the summer, but it's a bit of a chameleon... because of it's fresh yet strong masculine composition it can really work anytime as a day scent. If you like any of these - Chanel Pour Monsieur, YSL Rive Gauche or the original Azzaro Pour Homme, this is a must try.

قليلة هي عطور الفوجير الصيفية، و هذه التحفة المنقطعة الانتاج أحدها أزارو بور هوم لا أوو، على خطى أب العائلة أزارو بور هوم، هو عطر فوجير، هو هنا كما يوحي الاسم مخفف و مائي مصمم للصيف و الجميل أنه بدون نوتات بحرية العطر يفتتح بالحمضيات كما يجب ثم ينتقل لقلب تابلي من اليانسون النجمي و لكنه ليس بحدة الاصدار الاصلي و مدعوم هنا بنوتات عطرية كلاسيكية مثل اللافندر و الجيرانيوم و ينتهي بقاعدة خشبية مسكية القلب و هو أوضح أجزاء هذا العطر بثلاثية اليانسون و اللافندر و الجيرانيوم يعيد للأذهان تحفة توم فورد مع ايف سان لوران عطر ريف جاوش، و كأن هذا العطر اصدار صيفي منه، و لا ننسى أن ريف جاوش هو نسخة محدثة من ازارو بور هوم يصلح لنهار الربيع و الصيف خصوصا المناسبات الرسمية الأداء جيد نوعا ما، الثبات يمتد ل 6 ساعات و الفوحان في أول ساعة التقييم 4/5
