Sorprende! hoy en dia, que la composición de notas se sientan todas proyectando al mismo tiempo. Es un aroma "cromàtico" cuya clasificación de aromático-afrutado define exactamente su fragancia. Aquí no hay piramide olfativa, ni progresión de notas por tiempos. Las notas se entrecruzan de forma chispeante y fresca junto con matices amargos y verdes picantes. Ninguna nota olfativa sobresale o decanta la fragancia, que sorprende por ser un EDT con cualidades de perfume duradero. El aroma es intenso, proyectante, persistente y aunque hay ocasiones en que se sienten notas individuales claras, como la naranja amarga o el te, todas sus notas altas permacen presentes y bien ligadas a sinteticos de almizcle, tonka, vetiver y ligeros ambar. 17 años más tarde, y en el 2024 de hoy, nos sorprende el performance que tenian estos trabajos anteriores perdidos y memorables. Este tipo de aromas, habrá dado a muchos expertos en marketing la idea de venderlo como "EL frescor Oceanico" porque incita a pensar en paisajes de playas paradisíacas. El precio reducido de fragancias con tiempo en el mercado, la hacen una opción de compra muy recomendable, para quien quiera sentirse fresco, limpio y con sensaciones de recién duchado, durante muchas horas, ya que el aroma residual que se queda a ras de piel, parece no terminar en todo el día. En cuanto a cantidad de aplicaciones recomendables, hay que tener en cuenta que es una fragancia intensa y potente, aunque se sienta (en contraste) ligera y suave, puede llegar a saturar su persistencia, por tanto, un spray en piel y otro en ropa, van a cumplir su cometido, sin llegar a combertirte en un ambientador humano😁😂😂 Se distingue y aprecia, el trabajo profesional que se ha conseguido, en esta innegable fragancia aromática-frutal, masculina. Pero no todo son virtudes, ni existe la fragancia perfecta, en contra, puede que no guste a todo el mundo por varias razones; -El aroma general recuerda las fragancias usadas en los geles de baño, lo que puede hacer que los demás, no lo identifiquen como perfume. -Hay matices sintéticos y de fantasía (poco naturales), que enturbian la experiencia. -Su salida es muy distinta a las fragancias actuales. -No es un aroma polivalente y por tanto existen mejores opciones en distintas situaciones, como en clima frío y ocasiones formales Mi valoración final es que es una fragancia bien construida y agradable, que funciona muy bien y es sorprendente. Ok, so here goes. I've sampled the Azzaro Chrome Legend old and new. NEW: slightly more sweeter, fresher, aquatic. The musk is there. Top heavy sweetness in a pleasant way with the green apples, but the intensity is not there. Stays this way for 2 hours until the Tonka bean takes over with the tea, and then the musk. It's fresh, clean, still nice. I like it actually. Longevity is about 3 to 4 hours, projection is about 2 to 3 feet. L' O'real acquired azzaro and mugler in 2019. Bottom of bottles says Mfd for CFG Neuilly France(clarins fragrance group). Anyway, still nice and fresh, sweet aquatic. OLD: very, very, heavy green apples, sweet tea and musk. Tonka and tea come later on in the drydown. NOT as aquatic. Still fresh, but not as the new version. Intensity is more long lasting with the opening notes of apple and tea. Longevity is about 7 to 8 hours, projection is about 3 feet or more. Very beautiful drydown of musk and Tonka. Bottom of bottle says Chrome Legend eau de toilette, Mfd for CFG, France. Also has the chrome mettalic collar around sprayer that says 'Chrome Legend'. Sprayer is chrome also and is smaller than new version. Both new and old bottles are very similar in shape, size, wording of Azzaro on bottom front of bottle in the 3.4oz size. Width seems about the same too. But, it's all in the nose; the smell, longevity etc,. One cannot help but wonder why these darn fragrance companies are purposely destroying these incredible and fine fragrances??? ***On a side note; I've noticed that when a store receives a new fragrance, the smaller bottles tend to have more intensities of the scent notes in their tester units AND the first and second year releases are the best time to buy them: because the moment that the word gets out about their longevities, the cost cutting begins with the corporate whores!

This is the most complimented summer fragrance for me. It is a magnet for positive comments. You will be asked what the name of the fragrance you are wearing. It catches the eye everywhere. Women like it very much when a man wears it. At the beginning of the fragrance there are green apples as well as oranges. And in the middle there is tea, and in the dry the musk and tonka beans. It is a sweet musky fruity fragrance with touches of tea, cedar wood and amber. Fresh, clean, fruity, sweet, pleasant and attractive smell, purity is not the best thing , it is a bit synthetic, the gradation of notes is not very clear, so the fragrance may be semi-linear, the perfume (jaguar classic black) is very similar to it. Perfume is a performance beast in every sense of the word, its longevity on the skin is more than 12 hours, sillage is more than 4 hours, it fills the room or the hall completely, two or three sprays of it are enough. Suitable for summer and spring with casual wear, for work, university, shopping, outing, sports ، gym, daily wear, for young men and middle-aged men. The fragrance was released in the beginning of 2006, in 2011 azzaro company announced to stop production, but it is strange that the fragrance remained in the market, and each year there are batches produced from it, and the company that produce it unknown. And in 2019, the Azzaro Company returned to announce that it would be re-produced by it, In fact, the fragrance was released in the same shape as the bottle, with the design of the stopper changed .The bottle I own is from the 2015 batch, and I have not tried the new versions, but I heard that the perfume was reformulated and became weaker in terms of performance, and this is a pity.

Well... I got this in the mail the other day... two days of wearing it, I think I can make a "review". I would like to state, as I have in my previous posts, I am not an expert on scents. My opinion is that of a person who just really wants to smell good. :) Azzaro Chrome Legend is supreme. I go from an inside environment to an outside environment constantly for my job. It was 80 degrees the last few days (nearly, anyway), and this stuff lasted until I got home and even after I worked out. I kid you not, I put it on at 7:30 AM and it worked well into the 12 hour mark. It also seems like the sillage is barely altered throughout the day. It still projects to a foot after 8 hours. In terms of sillage, it is a monster. In my opinion. But, as a friend of mine put it, it is a soft and subtle smell that doesn't rush into your nose. When you are 4 feet away from me and smell it, it doesn't change when you get closer. It is great. A female co-worker said she actually couldn't stand next to me because it smelled so good. :P throughout the entire day she raved about it. The good thing about this cologne is you can wear it any time, anywhere, and in my opinion, any season. Last night I wore it to a restaurant and it served me well. :) Right now, this is a favorite for me. Great job by Azzaro. UPDATE 9/11: Having worn this 90% of the time this summer, I'm pleased with it entirely. :) I've received a ton of complements and some of them are from 10 feet away with the wind blowing and I was upwind from them lol. The only other summer frag I use that got compliments was Hugo Boss. Which I still got ten times more with Chrome Legend. :) it's hard to beat it for a summer fragrance, and not only I think so.

***Updated Review on new 2023 Reformulation by Azzaro*** I was recently gifted a new bottle of the 2023 Azzaro release of this fragrance, and boy, what a huge difference there is between the super cheap version that was being made by Coty, and the new 2023 version under Azzaro! Compared to the Coty version, this new reformulation under Azzaro is better in every way. They only provide three notes of Orange Essence, Aquatic Notes, and Patchouli. But, this new formula still maintains that very familiar legend smell with the strong citric orange opening and the familiar Chrome metallic hint throughout the base. The aquatic twist is a great fresh rework on this fragrance while the patchouli gives it a better performing base and longevity than the previous Coty version. The bottle presentation and atomizer are both infinitely better than the horrid, cheap Coty variation, and the juice color has basically remained the same. The performance of the new formula is far superior as well. I have had two full wearings, and I can safely say that I get 8 strong hours with this new formula, with 2-3 hours of moderate projection. The new 2023 Legend is best suited for the Spring, Summer, and the early fall. Primarily for daytime casual or office settings. This is a very easy to wear crowd pleasing type of fragrance with just enough base to get through a work day, and not too much projection to bother any co-workers. If you can find this at discounters or rackstores for $25-30 (100ml bottle), and you don't have a lot of freshies in your collection, then I think this is a worthy pickup. I happen to really enjoy the Chrome line and fresh frags, so I don't mind having another fresh Azzaro scent on my shelf!

@elyzen's review below wins. I won't be able to compete with that... What I can say however, is that I really love this scent sometimes! It reminds me of shampoo and pineapple and body wash, and yes, even sand (like elyzen said below). The part that's most overlooked is the hearty heart notes, which is what gives it its magic. The apple note is what stands out (obviously), but it would be nothing without its tonka/amber/oakmoss/cedar counterparts. Sometimes when I'm too burnt out on these WILDLY overused notes, I can't bring myself to appreciate Chrome Legend. But, when my nose has had a break from the norm, from the average, and from the timid scents that overuse these notes, then I find myself really enjoying this LOUD little summer perfomance scent. Stupid good performance, fresh, clean, masculine, but still interesting. The new bottle style, with the plain tall silver cap and no chrome ring around the neck of the bottle... what a bunk bottle design! Why wouldn't they stick with the original bottle? I mean, obviously it was to save money, and I'd rather see a boring bottle instead of a ruined scent, but still! I loved the original bottle design! I would track down an older bottle, but with a collection the size of mine, I'll probably only wear this a few times a year. I'm actually very surprised to not see more people complaining about the newer bottle design though. While I really love this scent sometimes, I must admit - Nautica Voyage and Armaf Hunter are both probably better scents within this category. But make no mistake, Chrome Legend is no slouch, and still performs very well.

Batch 0534746 (manufactured in 2014 or later): I had a batch from 2011 in the 2.6 oz size that was a spicy tea floral with a very prominent freesia and green apple accord. Two sprays to the chest and I got 15 hours of solid performance, it was "beast mode." I could often smell it the next day. Fast forward to Christmas, 2017. My girlfriend gives me a 4.2 oz bottle from three years ago (or less). I sprayed it expecting this super-synthetic fragrance to smell identical to the one I had from seven years ago. And you know what? It smells exactly the same as the bottle I had from seven years ago. No reformulation. No reduction in concentration. Not "watered down" or weak. Chrome Legend is still a beast. A couple of sprays fills the room with this intense "fresh" spiced tea floral. I get that people think reformulations happen all the time and that they're always a bad thing. What I don't get is saying something was reformulated into swill when it clearly hasn't been reformulated into swill. Chrome Legend is an obviously cheap, 98% synthetic composition that probably never cost Azzaro much to produce, so there wouldn't be any reason for them to cheapen it further. It would probably cost them more money to hire perfumers to do that than the effort is worth. Thus, they kept producing it as-is, as long as people would buy it, and yeah, people keep buying it. It's seen a resurgence lately, with more 4.2 oz bottles appearing here in the USA. I happen to really like it. I've worn it quite a bit in the last seven years. I hope it never changes, and doubt it ever will. Still a good fragrance.

A few things about Chrome Legend: First, a jasmine note should be in the pyramid. This is a "fresh" and "apple" forward fragrance, but the mid drydown, which extends for a solid seven hours (at minimum), is an abstract spiced jasmine note the size of Manhattan. I get that people don't really notice something so big because its scale is the very thing that disguises it, but not seeing the forest for the trees has never been more apt in regards to this scent. Second, I see no indication that Coty is involved in Chrome Legend's production, at least on the bottle. Perhaps the box has a marker but don't recall seeing it - I'll check when I have a chance, if I still have the box. But whether Coty produces it or not is irrelevant if the fragrance maintains its identity and its quality. To my knowledge, it has maintained both. Third, the issue of whether this scent is discontinued. The various outlets online offering the fragrance for less than $50 would suggest otherwise, that supply still outpaces demand. But that doesn't mean the fragrance is still in production, and the sudden proliferation of "collarless" bottles with dinky caps makes clear that supply of perfume outstrips supply of finished bottles. This is the clearest indicator that something is amiss in the supply chain for this scent, a condition that usually exists after discontinuation of something that was not cut from distribution. Azzaro is clearly trying to sell this fragrance. That they still make it is less clear.

For a $20 dollar synthetic so called "mess" or "woody amber chemical swill" as I've heard many niche snobs call this, this is quite the complicated fragrance. It's also an instance where I feel that a fragrance designed for the spring or summer smells and vibes way better with the fall and winter. In the heat the apple note hear turns very sticky and syrupy, overpowering everything else. It's around 65 degrees here in New York and once it gets to that temperature with some slight wind is when this fragrance really shines. In the cooler weather the apple note mixes with the "Sea spray" notes (listed on basenotes and on the sample card they used to give out but not on here for some reason...) as well as a cinnamon like note (which isn't listed either) to give this wonderfully crisp, fresh, uplifting woody aquatic scent with a strangely opulent spicy apple pie accord. This all dies out after a few hours and all of a sudden this turns into pure money. Oakmoss, vetiver, laundry musk, tea and amber all combine to make a slightly "dated" smelling drydown, but it smells so wealthy, almost cartoonishly so, that it makes up for it. No joke, this phase (in the cooler months) could give Aventus a run for it's money just in terms of suaveness and class. One of the strongest ever, as well. You need only one spray to the chest. If you're feeling daring, one more spray on the neck. THAT's IT!!! Any more and you will choke people out. Awesome long lasting autumn/winter aquatic.

I've tried the original Chrome and some of the other flankers like United (which I actually enjoy more) and Intense, and while I find them all enjoyable, none have been able to garner me unsolicited compliments like this Legend. Now this is not your typical generic blue aquatic freshie, oh no, not even close! This is a sharp green apple, tea, bitter orange, green herbals, cedarwood with a musky-amber dry down resulting in one of the most versatile spring/summer fragrances ever made. I also get a sand type of accord even though it's not listed, evoking images of the beach and the summer. You can dress this up or down and wear it on any occasion day or night, but it shines the best in warmer weather IMO. This thing can project beast mode 10-15 feet for a good 3-5 hours and will last an entire day (8-12 hours) on my skin and clothes depending on the amount of sprays used. Considering that a 4.2 oz bottle can be purchased in the $25-$30 range, you have here an affordable gem that smells, performs and punches far above its weight. This is the scent that started my fragrance journey back in 2012, when my dad introduced me to it as his signature scent. Interesting that the very concept of this flanker has to do exactly with the legacy that a father passes on to his son, making this scent even more special still for me.

This is a really likeable spring/summer fresh scent that has better longevity than most in the same vein. The initial blast can be admittedly a bit abrasive because of the chrome metallic edge, but only for a very brief moment before it calms down. Thankfully it doesn't calm down too much, as it has very respectable staying power. The dry down is a wonderful blend of gentle aquatic sweetness, powdery softness, and ambery tea with no note dominating, everything working really well together, and the accord remaining decidedly masculine but fresh. The projection is quite good the first hour or two. It may not be a new or expensive scent, but it wouldn't be a bad signature scent in warmer weather. Considering its very reasonable price point, this is a real winner: inexpensive, versatile, and really solid performance from a balanced and lovely scent. ***Follow up edit to my original review above*** This longevity with this one is great for a fresh scent. I also like it better and better as it dries down. The metallic note gradually subsides, leaving an increasingly pleasant tea note with occasional wafts of orange for several hours. Great summer scent.

Well, I got a tester bottle with the bigger cap in 2021, and for the intial weeks, I did not notice how good this was in terms of sillage and projection because I used this as a layering fragrance. It was during mid June-July, that the performance of this perfume took off. Excellent longevity, lasts more than 24 hours on clothes, 10+ hours on skin, has this amazing sillage of freshly cut green apples, tea, some kinds of citruses, and works great on hot summer days. Recently purchased a new fresh bottle for NPR. 5000 (~ USD $45), but disappointed with the cap that just doesn't do justice to the presentation. Nonetheless, the performance is still great, the apple like, tea scent lingers around for a good time. Great option for Summer days and Spring time, Good performance even during the Autumn, Winter for a Freshy. Overall Rating: Presentation: 4/10 (new batch) Scent: 8/10 Versatility: 8/10 Value for Money: 10/10 Projection: 8/10 Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10 Final Verdict: I would choose this over Versace Pour Homme, for under $45, this gives great performance, longevity, and for a Freshy, it performs pretty good in the cold weathers.

I recently picked up the second reformulation of this fragrance (the one with the thin, rounded cap). It’s a little bit smoother and quieter than the original in my researches, which came in the large cap with the blue line and is widely known as the stronger version. I haven’t yet tested the newest batch with the medium cap, which visually resembles the original Chrome OG. So, I found the medium-sized bottle for just $13, and honestly, I loved the juice. While it’s not strong by any means, it’s still a solid performer for the price. The opening hits with a green, bitter orange note—sharp and aromatic—then dries down into a clean, soapy finish that reminds me of Dove’s cucumber bar. For the price it’s an absolute steal. To be easy to understand (please help me if I'm wrong): - Big cap with blue line: First version, known for strong projection and performance. - Thin rounded cap: Second reformulation, smoother and quieter. - Medium cap (Chrome OG lookalike): Latest batch, brighter citrus top, aquatic heart, warm woody base - aims to modernize the classic DNA. Fragrance -Chrome Legend Azzaro Bottle from - 2015 Chrome Legend reminds me of relaxing by the pool on a cool sunny day,drinking cocktails,face covered with a straw hat. In the company of an attractive woman ofc. Longevity - 9/10(9+hours) Silage/projection -8/10(nice projection for the first 3-4 hours,silage also exist) Weather - best in spring,summer(Versatility-9/10) Age - 18+ Compliments - 9/10 Scent - 8/10(beautiful fresh fragrance) Main notes according to me -green apple,bitter orange,tea, tonka bean,musk,cedar. The drydown is more or less the same like the opening and i get some amber,tonka,musk and a little bit of woodiness. Chrome Legend is a little bit linear scent but in a good way. Emotions -swimming pool,beach,relax,vacation,sexy,fresh. Occasion -casual activities,office,dates,scholl,college and night out. Very fresh,green,fruity and woody scent.Perfect for spring and summer casual activities.You'll get compliments with this one.Could be a signature scent.

Blind purchase based on reviews. I agree with Karlovonamesti, regarding similarities between Legend and Cool Water/Horizon. This is a "blue" kind of aquatic, like a modern Cool Water, or Kenzo pour Homme. I can see why many reviewers say that other people like it on them, but they themselves don't like it that much. I think this is because this perfume smells different (or develops its notes differently) at a distance. If you smell it closely, on your wrist for instance, it's super soapy and kind of messy. But if you spray it on your room, leave, and then come back, it will smell delicious, less soapy, more aquatic-fruity. So, if like me, you didn't like it at first smell, on your wrist, give it a second chance, wear it, and enjoy the fresh trail it leaves behind and around you. It's really a nice perfume, inexpensive and with excellent performance (great projection and adequate longevity).

I might be biased due to wearing this extensively as a teenager, but this is my favourite Chrome. I bought a new bottle for old time's sake and it smells almost exactly how I remember. It's slightly thinner and more alcoholic especially in the opening but is almost identical. The new cap however is a tragedy, makes it look so much cheaper than before. The smell itself is fantastic as ever. Fruity aquatic dense blue tea. Dense as in it's a thicker aquatic fragrance in terms of body, along the same lines of Invictus/Hawas, but in my opinion smells much better than them due to being nowhere near as bubblegumy sweet/juvenile/cloying. No complaints about performance either. It's not as nuclear as the old stuff which would last 24 hours on clothes, but you still get a decent 6 hours with decent projection for the first 2 on skin, and 12+ hours on clothes. For the price, it's a no brainer.

I have this for almost an year now. You know when you enter a tea place and they have all those flavoured black teas and red teas? This is the feeling at first. 100% fresh opening. After about an hour I can clearly feel tonka and apple. Performance is very good - you can get more than half'a'day out of this. It's not mind blowing, but a definitely pleasant scent. I feel very confident wearing this and get compliments on a regular basis as well. Edit: Found out that it performs better in autumn and spring. Edit: I want to have another take on this : THIS IS FRESH-SWEET WITH SUPER PERFORMANCE! I have been wearing this in the cold and it SHINES! It's a fresher, non-dry version of perfumes like Ultra Male or Layton (ok, I get it that some will argue that the quality is below, but so is the price). Use this as a night-time scent for colder days and you will fall in love with it!

Is it a Chrome Legend equals Legend? SOTD (Scent of the Day): Azzaro Chrome Legend: As of 01/29/19 A fruity scent to my nose, is very pleasing simple and fresh scent not sharp nor harsh. My nose detects the apple, bitter orange, and tea in the opening, and then on the background the musk, tonka bean and vetiver kicks in. I enjoy this fragrance from start to finish a great office and spring and summer scent. It will be in my spring/summer rotation with other freshy scents I have in my collection. A great value for the price and is a must have. Again I don't own the OG Chrome to compare it to when it comes to the Chrome DNA, is it a Legend? I have to wait and see? Rating Scent: 7.25/10 Design/Presentation: 6/10 Value: 8.5/10 Longevity/Performance: Last on my skin/skin scent around 12+ hrs Overall: 7.5/10

I picked this up from a bargain bin and didn't expect it to impress me much. But I'm an Azzaro fan and have found several of their fragrances to be under-rated sleepers, so I couldn't help myself. I'm really glad I took the chance. True, it's generic. But it's also so damn fresh and pleasant. It's exactly how I want to smell on mild to hot spring and summer days. Fresh, clean, green, and more mature than many others in this category, thanks to a generous amount of woods in the base. But honestly it's the apple and tea combo that keeps me smelling this throughout the day. It lasts a lot longer than I expected it to. It has some similarity to Chrome United, but it's more tart off the top, and less powdery and sweet in the dry down. For me, that's a plus.

This is a nice fresh scent which I like a lot. It's a fairly simple scent that I wear casually and in a smart casual office. I have only had it for a month but have used it almost daily and would recommend this fragrance for the summer months and on warm days. I personally wouldn't wear this formally though. Notes wise I get a strong metallic apple with some musk however I am not great at identifying notes.The longevity is great and will easily last the day 7+ hours whilst I am at work. Projection is good although not sure as I am nosblind to it at the moment. I feel it lasts around 3/4 hours then goes to a skin scent but I am not 100% sure on this. Also you can pick 125ml at a great price which gives it good value and affordable as an everyday scent.
