Chrome Pure

I first tried this fragrance not knowing what it is - I just sprayed a sample that I got in Sephora all over me... And I got intrigued straight away. 😯 Such a soft musky cuddly scent. I thought it must be something upper scale, maybe some 1990s classic? What was my surprised when I checked the sample and it was one of Azzaro's Chrome. I am not a big fan of "refreshing" summer citrus fragrances, I like heavier amber, oud, musk and spices perfumes but this one really got me. ❤️ It is very sophisticated, classy and conservative. Simultaneously I find it quite unisex, I think girls could rock it as well as guys. ✨ In my mind it awakes visions of spring aura at Place Vendôme, white interiors of rooms in l'Hôtel Crillon and summer evenings in Hamptons. It really is much better scent then brand and price would indicate. 🥰 It's sweet, open nicely in warm weather, I do not feel much of the citrons, but there is some orange blossom mist and definitely tonka. I can smell coconut - something like JPG Le Beau. But musk - musk play the first violin in this concerto. I disagree with all comparisons to "fresh linen" "sun lotion" or "cleaner". 🙄 The musk is s must! 😁 The fragrance makes me feel similar to old Givenchy's Pi or old Dior Pour Homme (or Dior Pour Homme Original - as we call it these days). Sure, it is not the same level of olfactory craftsmanship but just to give you a hint of the vibe. 😁 What I like is impressive sillage and durability. With 5 sprays it goes for hours and on clothes I can feel it few days after. This is a value that I always appreciate in fragrances. In the end - if you like musk, and you look for something that have character but is not cloying during summer and heat - give it a try. 👍🏻

Chrome Pure is criminally underrated and becoming a fave of mine !! Admittedly in the opening the first time I tried this I thought this would be a big miss as it smells like a 90s hairspray to my nose as it’s fruity but has some harshness !! However, let this breathe on your skin and don’t judge by the tester strip because as time goes on and it develops it really morphs into a beautiful scent ! To expand upon that it starts out harsh but as time goes on the harshness fades and your left with a beautiful,creamy scent that’s fresh,warm and to my nose smells like high end tanning lotion and/or expensive shampoos ! This may sound odd but those high end products I’m referring smell amazing 🤩!! One product in particular it smells similar is the Moroccan Argan oil shampoo in the blue bottle as it smells fresh,beachy, and creamy ! In the deep drydown it just smells like the mid but more creamy and not as fresh but still retaining a lot of freshness. Because of it smelling like high end shampoo that may deter some that are looking for super masculine scents but for me I’m addicted to this stuff and it’s hard not to overspray I think this also could be a great signature scent as well as it has freshness for the warmer months but the creaminess has the right depth and strength for the colder months ! Performance on this is excellent as it lasts me 12-16 hours and has very noticeable projection for 3 hours with amazing sillage and always has my shirts smelling amazing for days Overall rating -9 out of 10 ! Amazing unique fragrance that I liked a lot at first but have grown to love

Azzaro Chrome Pure is a deliciously creamy and fresh sunset cruise in a bottle! The noses behind this fragrance are Jacques Huclier and Olivier Pescheux. Surely you've heard of Mugler A*Men, Paco Rabanne 1 Million, Gucci Guilty, and Montblanc Legend? It opens with a blast of orange blossom powdery sweetness that is balanced by the tabacco-like tea qualities of yerba mate and freshly fallen rain. The mate remains while the orange fades, but lingers in the background to keep it fresh as it dries down. Within 15-20 minutes the smoky, slightly peppery akigalawood makes it's presence known and is balanced by the almond, slightly-vanilla sweetness of tonka bean. The peppery smokiness moves to the background but makes it's presence known from time to time as clean, white musk rounds out the fragrance to create a velvety smooth, slightly boozy, citric tea of floral rain. This is a beautiful, well balanced fragrance that performs extremely well in warm, humid weather. It has a slight Creed Silver Mountain Water vibe to it, but it is creamier and smoother so it works well in any setting. Projection, sillage, and longevity are very good and I will definitely be reaching for this one all Spring and Summer. If you're tired of salty, mineraly, ambroxan-dominant fragrances, give this one a try. You'll be glad you did and you'll get plenty of compliments!

Opens with a very nice citrus blast and transcends slowly into a smooth “orange creamsicle” state. It’s that orange blossom and tonka I believe. Just before you get there you get those watery notes and the pepper in the Akigalawood. I love peppery notes in my fragrances. The tea note is just enough to keep it honest and from being too sweet and floral as it settles into the Tonka and woody dry down...interesting finale and for sure, masculine. This is a very pleasant frag that won’t jump out in the crowd, but within a couple of feet, it will smell appealing and pleasant to others. It’s definitely not your typical Chrome flanker and definitely not sporty or as another review said, a gym scent...uh uhh! Personally, I would never wear this to the gym. It’s too creamy and spicey. Lunch and shopping with friends casual get togethers...hits the mark. Dries down a lot like Versace Pour Homme...Tonka, Musk and Cedar, surprisingly spicey at the very end. The citrus opening is misleading. You can easily wear this in cooler, even cold temps. Arguably the best “Chrome” flanker and certainly as good as anything Azzaro has ever produced. It’s not necessarily seasonal, but I wouldn’t wear it in real hot weather. Scent 9 Performance 7.5 Sillage 6.5 Longevity 7 Value 8

I discovered Chrome Pure this year, and honestly, it was love at first spray. It’s a 'sweet' citrus fragrance—fresh yet sensual, the kind of scent that envelops you effortlessly. The notes offer a perfect blend of vibrant freshness and a creamy coconut vibe, giving off total beach, coastal, and late-afternoon-breeze energy. It’s an instant mood-booster that smells clean, sun-kissed, and incredibly cozy at the same time. Unfortunately, Azzaro has discontinued this gem. Anyone who managed to snag a bottle (especially as a second-hand find, like I did 😎) knows it’s a true treasure. On my skin, the longevity was outstanding: I applied it around 2 PM, and by nighttime, the fragrance was still going strong. The next morning, it was still there—closer to the skin, but definitely noticeable. The projection was moderate for the first hour and a half, leaving a subtle, pleasant trail without being intrusive. This one is bomb! Azzaro has got to be the best house offering quality/price out there. Got a 50ml of this and i might grab a 100ml bottle...this instantly became my top 3 Chrome flankers, and into my summer rotation for sure. It's not "fresh" like the original or the other flankers, is more of a "clean sheet" type of thing. The name and color is very fitting for this one. Smooth, tonka and orange blossom imediatelly hits me. The drydown is creamy, but not sweet, with a touch of green. Picture this: You just got back from the beach, sun still up but about to go down not a single cloud in sight. You take a shower, get ready for the warm night ahead, the breeze still blowing through the hotel window and everything is white, from the clothes you put on to the room you in. You feel squeaky clean and fresh, but your skin is still shiny and hot from the hours you've spent on the beach earlier. That's the vibe Chrome Pure delivers. This got me through 8 hours in a hot day, projection i would say is above average compared to other Chrome flankers. I have yet to smell an Azzaro fragrance that i completely dislike or feel disappointed for the price, unlike every single Paco Rabanne release.

First impression is this smells tropical like there is Coconut in here but there isn't. I think a combination of the Mate, Akigalawood and Orange Blossom give this that tropical feel and maybe the Orange up top helps out too. Overall Chrome Pure is sleek and a very fresh floral fragrance. This does smell pure if you ask me and it still has a slight watery character that the original Chrome caries. In the dry down this smells very good. That Akigalawood is noticeable and the Tonka shines and gives this a creamy undertone. The Mate lasts through almost all of the fragrance. This is a very nice fragrance and this smells alot like how nice the bottle presents. This is pleasant and I don't think you would regret it if you choose to blind buy it. I wish it projected a little bit more on me but it's still good. I think it's one of those fragrances that people notice at times when I don't or when I'm not paying attention. I do notice it on myself when I think about it so it might be projecting more than I realize. I would say this is a compliment getter also. A very slick and very good fragrance. Rating- 93/100

I don't want to jinx it because usually I need a week or so to get to know a fragrance. But the tester in the shop made be buy it immediately. I've been looking for a good hot weather scent as Creed VIW is too pricey for everyday wear (and I don't like its "clones"). I like sweet fragrances and I'm just not really into the aqua/blue genres at all. I briefly considered Tom Ford - Eau de Soleil Blanc, but the reported poor performance to price ratio put me off. I had done no research on Chrome Pure, and only picked up the tester because Chrome Aqua had been frequently recommended. But the opening really got my attention. Pure reminds me of Eau de Soleil Blanc in the way it feels. I'm sure side by side there are very different, but from memory, both are a soft, creamy, floral type affair. Perhaps the bottles are influencing me, but I think either fragrance would perfectly suit a white linen shirt in the sunshine. But the great thing about Chrome Pure is that it actually lasts well and it's cheap - while smelling more expensive than it is. Definite love from me.

Chrome was one of the first fragrances I ever bought with money from a summer job probably 15 years ago. I definitely got bored with it quickly and I still have some of that bottle left. I put it on once in awhile for nostalgia reasons but I've never been stoked about it. I've even tried most of the flankers or spin offs. Not my thing. Enter Chrome Pure. The only one that has ever given me that "wow" factor. It opens with a very loud punch of citrus and neroli quickly followed by non-descript wood/aquatic notes. The drydown is where this one blooms and stands above many other summer offerings, especially of today. A woody, creamy, musky spiciness is what you're left with. Somewhat sweet but the spicy woodiness tames it. Performance is excellent. Sprayed at 430AM, still very noticeable at 730PM. Crazy. Nice sillage as well. I would go casual, all ages, all seasons but geared towards summer. This is good and budget friendly.

My first Azzaro cologne. Really didn't catch my attention during the first few times I wore it. Now, after owning it for about 4 months I got to using it again frequently since the temperatures are getting higher, and I can say it is one I like the most for this weather. Great all around day fragrance to wear around the house. Not an attention grabber as it won't project much after the first hour of wearing it, but it truly is an "orange" fragrance. It sits closer to the skins for a moderate 4-5 hours longevity. Smell very citrusy, but pleasant; not obnoxiously loud and headachy. This is a cheap buy at a great price, though retail ain't worth it for the performance/sillage - go for discounters like fragrancenet.com. Would recommend this to men more than to women, but you can say it's a more unisex fragrance (leaning to it being more masculine). Definitely one to get started on for a great collection.

A real surprise as this was the best of the batch of decants I recently ordered. It opens with a really strong cramy orange note that has a slight spicy floral notes. As it dries down the aqua notes come out a little,but not too much. All in all the sweet orange dominates,but not too much to make it overly sweet as the floral and aqua notes balance it out. While at the same time its not overly fresh either. I think it would do well in most ocassions except for cold weather. Performance was also a shocker. I got 12 plus hours off of 10 sprays which was my whole sample. The scent isn't a beast so the extra sprays weren't overpowering. This one is pretty much a step up from a skin scent. Its powerful,but only up close and in intimate ranges so if you go crazy with the sprays you wont offend. Its kind of a better performing Bvlgari Aqua Marine. Its a fresh and sweet aquatic that will be a crowd pleaser

A permanent staple for the spring and summer. I have the set in both the eau de toilette and aftershave splash. Terrific combo that leaves you feeling of a semi sweet fresh and clean vibe throughout the day. I’m not a scent note expert but, I will say that this juice has a nice blend of masculine notes with a touch of a flowery lightness to it that is nicely blended. I get anywhere’s from 8-10 hours of scent life on my skin with moderate projection in the first 2 hours. The girlfriend approves and states that it has a sexy freshness to it that says Man all the way. And I’ve also gotten a couple of compliments from the ladies at work. This stuff will not offend anyone in the least but, you will get noticed especially as you walk by leaving a nice scent trail. Definitely worth a try if you can get the set for under $50 usd. It gets 4 out of 5 stars from me. Very happy with its scent and performance.

The opening is a bit harsh and very cleaner-like, but once it dried down, it definitely gains some fresh and sweet smelling legs. I initially disliked this quite a bit, but after letting it sit for a few weeks with some air in the bottle, it's made a complete turnaround for me. The tonka gives it a nice sweet base and I'm finally starting to see why others have mentioned "coconut" in their descriptions. It's not quite the kind of coconut I've been searching for, but I think it'll work out great as an after shower, or after pool spray. The performance is as middle of the road as it gets. It's not strong, but doesn't fade away within a couple hours either. Sillage is OK if you're spraying in the right places to create that scent trail. Overall, I do kinda dig it. I certainly like it quite a bit more than when I had first picked it up. For the price, it's a good deal.

I kind of like this as it’s pleasant enough but every time I wear it I always wish I would have applied something else. I can see a lot of people liking this but for me it’s only slightly above average for my taste. This opens up very sweet,kind of minty and I swear I smell violet leaf but it wasn’t listed in the notes. Once this dries down that tonka comes out and your left with a fruity,creamy scent that is also slightly boozy.Its interesting but also boring at the same time ! Performance on this was actually pretty good ! It projects very loudly for an hour but is soft after that. It lasted 6-10 hours on my skin. Overall rating-6.5 out of 10 ! It is different from the typical scents you smell these days but unfortunately it’s only a lukewarm like. To my nose this smells like a mix between Jay Z Gold and Michael Jordan Flight.

On paper, I thought it was part of a trend of rebranding legacy women's scents as mens and releasing them years later. It reminded me of a Gucci fragrance my cousin wore in her 20s. Tried it on skin next. One spray... could not smell it. Two sprays, getting there... three sprays the charm. Very soft citrus and no sharpness at all. First time in all my experiences with Azzaro that there is no sharpness. Florals smoothen this out I think. I thought it was an intersection between the original l.12 white by lacoste and MB Legend Spirit, but with no projection. But once it dries down it becomes a tonka bomb and resembles Kenzo Aqua and Burberry Rhythm, (both for him). It's a really soft and smooth citrus scent with nice florals and a heavy tonka base. Will definitely be in my summer rotation as it super easy to wear.

Received as a Christmas present in error. I asked for Wanted By Night. Got this instead. A bit Jacques Bogart Silver Scent for me. That's my frame of reference. This Azzaro has a mandarin note, a little bit more metallic feel and dries down to reveal a tadge of coconut. I'm not sure if this coconut impression I'm getting is the tonka. I'm still quite early on in my fragrance passion. A good freshie. Bright, sparkling but not too cold. I've had it on for eight hours and it's still performing well. Projects strongly for two hours but is a strong scent on me even after a busy day. If I had the mind to test this in a shop, which I probably wouldn't, I would've bought it and enjoyed it as a good performing hot weather scent. I'm still going to buy Wanted By Night but alls well that ends well.

I was skeptical at first because I'm not a huge fan of scents with a lotion vibe. However, this is super cheap on discounters, and since I like many others in the Chrome lineup, I decided to pull the trigger. I'm glad I did. It's like sunshine in a bottle, perfect for summer. It does have the creamy, lotion-thing going on, but not so much that it leans feminine (although a woman could definitely pull it off if she were so iinclined). Projection is moderate; longevity is above average. I think someone below said it could be a flanker of Chrome Legend, and I can definitely see that as Legend has the same lotion vibe but to a lesser degree. Also, the word "relaxing" comes up with this frag, and that's right on as well. Yet another excellent fragrance from the Chrome line.

This is a potential SIGNATURE scent, and one of my favorites. Versatile and very well blended. A real good mood booster. A tad sweet, but not in any bad or fruity generic way. The wood and vanilla notes make the sweetness work well. It has a lightly citrus/aquatic refreshing vibe, something tropical (coconut?), and I am sure there must be some nice mint in there, or the combination somehow creates a fresh mint aura. This fragrance is a touch synthetic, but NOT in the annoying or headache inducing manner. The price is an absolute bargain. This is great for any age, from the high school guy to the grandpa trying to keep up with the grandkids. There is an energetic feel good vibe, so if you are up for that then Chrome Pure is worth a try.

Chrome pure. Picture being on a beach in the pacific islands or the carribean on a sunny day laying down in a lawn chair sipping spiced coconut rum while reggae music plays in the background. Then imagine that in a cologne and you have the essence of chrome pure. Seriously this scent gives off luxury summer beach vibes mixed with some nice booze which adds a nice tang and makes you go ahhhhh. Personally this is one of my favs because it captured the exact thing it set out to do and the notes all blend together so perfectly. I don't see why people would think of this as generic because it is actually very unique. Ignore the hate, try to keep an open mind to this and give it a try because you might like it as much as i do.

This is one of my favorite summer fragrances of all time, and in the price range it's in, nothing beats it. I get a lot of creamy tonka and coconut with a few aquatic nuances in the background making this perfect for warm weather. One of the best parts of this fragrance is its solid performance which gives me around 6-8 hours. Around 2021 the bottle changed slightly from a matte to a satin finish however, the scent and performance stayed the exact same. I noticed this was pulled from retailers so I reached out to Azzaro and got email confirmation that this is discontinued. It's still extremely affordable so I highly recommend picking this up while you can.

Man, this got me to finally write a review. Blind bought and wore for the first time today. Living near the beach this is 💯 what I was missing from my collection. I own nothing else like this and it makes me feel like I'm headed to a nice resort pool for drinks and lunch. The initial opening carries a fai t hint of the original DNA. Soon after though it smooths out into the most creamy, soapy coconutty vibe that instantly transported me to the beach. However.......I couldn't see wearing this that much if I lived in middle America or in the northern states. Just my .02 though. Personally though this jumped right into my top 10!

I own over 300 frags and this fragrance inspired me to wright my first review. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent!! I made the mistake of buying a 1.7oz and once I tried it for a day, I immediately purchased a larger size. Creamy, slightly floral, fruity with a super clean dry down. The only thing is that it doesn't last as long as I would like. I get about 4 good hours however, I have no problem reapplying this one over and over. Not many have me smelling the area I sprayed over and over but this one did! Fantastic job Azzaro. Please release an EDP version of this.

Got a sample of this a day or so ago. First testing of it was a single spray to my wrist: was nice - pretty much a tonka bomb with hints of peppery wood and clean musk. The next day I gave it a full wearing (3 good sprays on chest): a quick citrus-woody opening (reminiscent of CAHS), then the tonka. Now its drydown is leathery, reminiscent of Bvlgari Man in Black, but without the rum and less spicy. In both cases, good projection and longevity. I could smell it a good 8-10 hours. It's definitely a good all-season scent.

The first impression I had of this was it was deliciously creamy. It has a masculine undertone to it but also has a not so confronting element that makes this super easy to wear. I feel this is signature worthy material as a work scent. PROS: Amazing longevity and it keeps the sillage working away well. Getting whiffs of myself all day. Bottle spray is very satisfying and qualitative. Price point fair. CONS: More a summery vibe so not so easily worn in cooler climates, therefore it is less versatile.

"Happiness is just around the corner" - this is the slogan of this perfume on the official website. And it suits its essence very well, as does the white matte bottle. This is a clean, moderate scent of sweet tonka beans, water notes and mate tea. For me, as for many, the aroma smells primarily of coconut. It's strange, although there is no coconut here, some combination of notes gives this smell. Stands out from the Chrome line. Least similar to all the other flankers. I like it very much.

This stuff is fantastic. You get a bit of the original's DNA, but this is very different. It's a fresh, powdery, and kinda citrusy. The first initial blast is a bit harsh, but that's really only that first whiff. It's great, and it only smells better as it dries down. This stuff has pretty good longevity. It can easily be dressed up, or dressed down. I find it extremely versatile. But I do think it leans unisex, so if you care about that type of stuff... keep that in mind.

A surprisingly elegant and affordable fragrance. This is a bright, citrusy delight with a luxurious, creamy base. It's incredibly versatile, while also being unisex as well. Comparing it to sunscreen is a disservice; it's far more radiant and sensual. This will be a summer staple for me. Update: I need to mention that the dry down is a bit disappointing, now that it’s been macerating for the last couple months. Far too peppery, and loses the beauty of the top notes.

This is an excellent twist on the og. The opening is very bright, fresh and a bit spicy . When it drys down it becomes sweet, creamy and smells like the most expensive sunscreen ever. Very versatile and gives your clothes a nice creamy vibe after a few days. It last about 8-9 hours on my skin and projects decently but nothing crazy. Might be a little too strong for summer time. Yall should buy it 100% 9/10

Fragrantica is occupied by bots or such. While this suppose to be Citrus and soft Woody Aquatic, it is voted and changed just by random, added millions of "similar" fragrances which are most definitely not, and this happens with every single added new release. It has to be bots. It is just sad that this fragrance encyclopedia becoming very misleading and fake.

Oh wow, this stuff is yummy. I don’t smell much of the original Chrome DNA but this is so nice. The white bottle absolutely captures the essence of the fragrance, it reminds me of a piña colada with a citrus twist. This is by far my favorite Chrome flanker despite hardly resembling the original, probably the furthest away in the entire line. Love it! 🤍

Chrome Pure is a good flanker for guys who want to smell fresh and tropical and put together without being too loud or overwhelming. It’s great for spring and summer, for work, casual hangouts, or even a low key date. Super easy to wear, and honestly kind of underrated for the quality it delivers. it has good performance too 8.2/10 I would buy again.

Only for single people. Wore this two times only. Both occasions I was physically grabbed by mature women....three ladies in total. The elastic waistband of my joggers was stretched and lost a button off my shirt in one skirmish. I'm married so It's now locked at the back of a cabinet while I decide who might benefit from this as a gift.

love this fragrance I find it so so so unique. It’s kinda soapy but not too much it’s peppery it’s aquatic. To me this fragrance evokes feelings or emotions almost lol like it makes me think of like what I think a awesome “father figure type” or the cool uncle in 2018 would smell like. It’s mature yet has youth and energy. I love it.

Splash on some 4711 then spray Chrome Pure on.. It'll give you a superb fresh opening, but that'll only last for 30 mins before the creamy tonka vibe kicks in.. Cheap enough these days to keep as a versatile summer scent and still original enough to get you noticed.. Only lasts 4-5 hours on my skin and in the Aussie climate..

I unapologetically love this fragrance. The bright citrusy top with the creamy undertones just does it for me. I think this fragrance is more versatile than you would think and can probably be added to your cooler months rotation if you are looking for something a bit different then the typical cool weather fragrances.

It's very powerful,one test spray filled my bedroom in such a way that I had to open the windows! The smell it's very good,not generic at all, it's woody ,fresh ,masculine,smoky with tea notes,very good! Just go easy on the trigger,max 3 sprays so people can stand closer then 5 feet from you!

This baby right here is amazing. I get subtle coconut mixed with lime notes here and there, and that's not even in the notes. Very fresh, citrusy and aquatic. The longevity is also good, so is projection. Perfect spring, summer and fall frag. Very safe for morning time use. 8/10

Not a fan of clean/creamy fragrances, but this is amazing for me. This is the smell of white color. So chilling, relaxing, clean, elegant and unique. A summer alternative for classic sshower gel or aquatic men fragrances. Very different from everything else from Chrome line.

I love this new Pure edition! Very pleasing scent, very sexy and interesting as well. It's a fresh, but in the drydown it becomes more polished and complex, warm and a little sweet. I'm sure Chrome Pure is a BIG compliment geather and could be an all season winner ;)

Beautiful fragrance. Does NOT smell like sunscreen to me at all. The opening is pretty nice, I smell mangoes, tropical fruits and citrus. I wish the opening lasted longer. When it dries, it smells like hay, tobacco, grass, wood, really masculine. Got it for 27$

My favorite in the Chrome line. Has a creaminess to it that I personally think works well with the Chrome DNA. Even with that creaminess, it’s still a fresh scent. Really nice. If you can find it and love freshies - it’s worth a look.

Love this fragrance - I find it unique. Citrusy peppery and aquatic - I own Chrome Extreme and the OG. Pure is my favourite. Affordable and Versatile - strongly recommend.

One of those weird fragrances that smells fantastic , a bit different but you wish it only lasted an hour or two. After that you kind of get tired of it. Weird right ??

My nose perceives this much differently than everyone. I get the citrus, but it’s like a creamy, spicy citrus. This is a cold weather/fall fragrance to me.

This is like a creamy and more sweet version of Creed Silver mountain water!! Its not a clone but have a similar vibe!! I really like this fragrance!!
